Punjab Rangers Jobs 2026: Lady Rangers Apply in Bahawalpur by 2 October

Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) is recruiting for 205 posts in 2026. The only window still open is for Lady Rangers: 20 Sepoy General Duty posts, and women apply in person at Headquarters Desert Rangers, Bahawalpur, from 28 September to 2 October 2026. There is no online form for this intake.

Most people searching for Punjab Rangers jobs expect an "apply online" button. We checked the official site, pakistanrangers.punjab.gov.pk, on 27 September 2026. Its Recruitment page opens a notice, the "Programme for Recruitment", signed for the Director General. That notice asks for walk-in registration or applications by post, not an online portal.

Men's posts in this round (religious teacher, cook, sanitary worker and trades) closed by post on 25 September 2026. So the only live route now is the Lady Rangers walk-in. Everything below comes from that notice, unless we say otherwise.

Punjab Rangers posts open in 2026

The 2026 notice lists 205 posts across five groups. Only women's Sepoy General Duty is still open, with registration in Bahawalpur until 2 October. The four men's groups took applications by post until 25 September 2026, and late applications are not accepted.

Seats go by provincial quota. Punjab, including Islamabad, gets 50 per cent. Open merit gets 7.5 per cent, Sindh urban 7.6, Sindh rural 11.4, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the merged districts 14.5, Balochistan 6, Gilgit-Baltistan 1 and Azad Kashmir 2. Another 5 per cent is kept for minorities. For the 20 Lady Rangers seats, that works out to 10 for Punjab, 2 on merit, 2 each for Sindh urban and rural, 3 for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 1 for Balochistan.

Eligibility for Lady Rangers and other posts

You must be 18 to 30 years old on 28 October 2026, which already includes the government's 5 year age relaxation. Lady Rangers need at least a middle (class 8) pass and a height of 5 feet 4 inches. Minimum weight is 121 pounds.

Taller candidates get preference in final selection, and so do candidates with more education. The weight must also be within the medical standard for your height, not above it.

The standing Recruitment page on the same site gives older general figures: age 18 to 25, height 5 feet 6 inches, weight 55 kg, and ranks such as Sub Inspector, Naik and Sepoy. Those describe the force's usual rules. For this intake, the dated 2026 notice is the one to follow, and it says 18 to 30.

How to apply for Lady Rangers in Bahawalpur

Go in person to Headquarters Desert Rangers, Bahawalpur, between 28 September and 2 October 2026. Take your original documents with two photocopies of each, two postal envelopes with your home address and phone number, and PT shoes for the physical test.

1. Check your age, height and education against the table above before you travel.
2. Collect your original documents and make two photocopies of each.
3. Write your full home address and phone number on two postal envelopes.
4. Pack joggers or PT shoes, because the physical test can happen during registration.
5. Reach HQ Desert Rangers, Bahawalpur, between 28 September and 2 October 2026. The phone number in the notice is 062-9250457.

Nobody pays you to travel. The notice says no TA/DA, meaning travel and daily allowance, is given during recruitment. Budget for the trip, and call the number first if you live far away.

Documents to bring

• All original educational certificates and degrees. If you only passed class 8, bring the school leaving certificate verified by the District Education Officer.
• Your NADRA CNIC.
• Your domicile or PRC. If you still need one, the domicile certificate comes from your district office and takes time.
• Two attested passport size colour photographs.
• An original No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your head of department, if you already work in a government or semi-government job. Without it you will not be let in.

Your name and date of birth must match on your CNIC and your certificates. The notice lists a mismatch as a reason to reject you, so fix any error with NADRA or your board first.

Punjab Rangers test, interview and medical

Selection runs in fixed stages: physical test, written exam, psychological test and interview for shortlisted candidates, final selection on merit at Headquarters in Lahore, then a full medical. Only those who pass the final medical receive a call letter for training.

For the written exam, bring your own stationery. Cheating or any unfair means in the screening test gets you removed on the spot.

The final medical is thorough. It includes a chest X-ray, Hepatitis B and C, HIV, urine, ECG, blood group, sugar, a full abdomen ultrasound, a psychological assessment, and blood tests such as HB, ALT, creatinine, ESR and CP. If you know of a health problem, get it checked before you spend money on the journey.

Lady Rangers selected in the end train at the Training Sector, HQ Desert Rangers, Bahawalpur. Cooks train at the Pakistan Rangers Academy, Mandi Bahauddin.

Selected Lady Rangers join at BPS-05, plus allowances under the rules. Single staff get free accommodation. Married staff get house rent allowance at 30 or 45 per cent of basic pay.

Who is disqualified

• Anyone dismissed from the Rangers or any government body on discipline grounds.
• Anyone convicted by a court.
• Anyone declared medically unfit by the Rangers or another body.
• Anyone who left the Rangers or the armed forces by their own choice, was discharged, or left during training.
• Anyone dismissed for fake documents or fraud, and anyone absent without leave from a forces job.

Scam warning for Punjab Rangers jobs

The Rangers do not sell jobs and do not take recommendations. The notice tells candidates not to contact any Rangers employee or civilian about selection, and to report anyone who promises a job or asks for money on 042-99220037-8.

We checked several web addresses that people share for "Rangers online apply". Only pakistanrangers.punjab.gov.pk answered as the force's site. An older address, pakistanrangerspunjab.com, now forwards to an unrelated gambling site. Do not enter your CNIC on any page outside the official .gov.pk domain.

Many job pages also still show an August 2026 intake of 964 Sepoy General Duty posts, with online registration from 17 to 26 August. That intake was reported, but its notice is not on the Rangers website now, so we could not read it at source. Either way, its dates have passed. If a site still takes "registration fees" for it, walk away.

If you want other forces too, the Pak Army PMA 159 Long Course registration and the Pakistan Navy PN Cadet 2027-A registration are open online right now. Both are officer routes with higher education limits. For civilian posts, government jobs online work through separate portals.

What to prepare if you missed this intake

Men who missed the 25 September postal deadline should prepare for the next notice. Get your CNIC, domicile, certificates and a police character certificate in order, keep your details matching, and train for the running test now.

A police character certificate is not on this notice's list, but forces often ask for one later, and it takes days to issue. Running is the part most candidates underestimate. Start weeks before, not the night before.

New notices appear on the official site's Recruitment page as a pop-up "Special Announcement". Check it there first, not on a WhatsApp forward.
