QESCO load shedding in Quetta runs from 0 to 12 hours a day, set feeder by feeder by its losses. In QESCO's current schedule, dated 6 August 2026, the large feeders range from 0 hours on Hali Road to 10 hours on Sariab-I, Dildar Kareez, Kuchlak City and DHA-II. The busiest feeder, Liaquat Bazar Express with 11,701 customers, has 1 hour. Feeders with losses above 80 per cent carry the longest cuts.

This is the "Load Shedding Schedule as per AT&C Losses (QESCO) 06-08-2026", the file linked on the Load Management page of the Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) when we checked on 4 November 2026. AT&C losses are the share of electricity QESCO supplies but does not get paid for, through theft, unpaid bills and line losses. The file covers the Quetta grids, with times, losses and consumer numbers for each feeder.

What the QESCO schedule shows for each feeder

Each row of the schedule is one 11 kV feeder. It gives the grid, the feeder code and name, the time slots when power goes off, the current daily hours, the feeder's AT&C losses for June 2026, the hours QESCO's loss policy allows, and the number of consumers.

  • Load shedding time: the slots in 24 hour time, such as 05-07 for 5 am to 7 am.
  • Exist L.S HRS: the hours of load shedding the feeder has now.
  • AT&C Losses June 2026: the feeder's loss rate, the figure that drives the hours.
  • As per AT&C: the hours the loss rate would justify.
  • Diff: the gap between the two.
  • No. of Cons: the number of customers on the feeder.

Feeders marked "Exempted" or "Independent" have no scheduled cuts. These include hospital feeders, WASA water pumps, army and FC supply, steel mills on their own lines and some new shopping malls.

The file is a scanned style table, and a few rows wrap across lines. We matched each feeder to the numbers on its own line. If your feeder looks wrong, check the original file on QESCO's site, which also shows the exact time slots.

How to check your QESCO load shedding schedule

The schedule is a PDF on QESCO's website. It takes about a minute to find your feeder if you know its name.

  1. Find the feeder name and code on your QESCO bill. The code is a five or six digit number.
  2. Open qesco.com.pk and click Load Management in the menu.
  3. Open "Load Shedding Schedule as per AT&C Losses (QESCO) 06-08-2026".
  4. Search for your feeder code or name. Read the time slots and the "Exist L.S HRS" column.
  5. If the cuts in your street do not match the slots, call 118 and ask whether there is a fault.

Your reference number also works on the national portal for government power companies. The steps are in the load shedding schedule by reference number.

Steps to check your QESCO feeder in the load shedding schedule

Why your feeder's hours are set by its losses

QESCO's schedule is titled "as per AT&C losses", and the numbers show why. Feeders where most electricity is not paid for get longer cuts. A household that pays every bill on time still shares the hours of its feeder.

The schedule also shows that many feeders get fewer hours than their losses would justify. Of the 60 feeders in our extract with 100 or more customers, 38 had fewer current hours than the "As per AT&C" column, and none had more. QESCO does not explain the gap on the file.

Hours come down when losses come down. That needs bills paid and illegal connections removed. QESCO's loss targets from NEPRA are covered in the QESCO loss target set by NEPRA. To report a fault or theft, use the numbers in the QESCO complaint number list.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We downloaded the "Load Shedding Schedule as per AT&C Losses (QESCO) 06-08-2026" from QESCO's Load Management page on 4 November 2026, when it was the only schedule linked there. The counts and the feeder table are our extract from that file. Actual cuts can differ from the schedule on the day.
