QESCO complaint numbers to call first

Call 118 for any fault, such as no power, a burnt meter or a broken wire. Keep your bill ready, because the desk asks for the reference number. For a billing problem, go to the revenue officer of your division instead, because only the revenue office can correct a bill.

QESCO online complaint form

QESCO's website has a short complaint form on its Complaint page. It asks for four things only. Fill them carefully, because the reference number is how QESCO finds your connection.

1. Your name, as on the bill if possible.
2. An email address QESCO can reply to.
3. The reference number from your QESCO bill.
4. Your comments: what happened, since when, and your phone number.

The form does not show a tracking number on screen. For a fault, a 118 call is better, because it gives a complaint number. The national complaint portal for government power companies does issue a ticket, and you can follow it with the complaint status check by ticket number.

QESCO operation circles: SE numbers

QESCO has six operation circles, each led by a Superintending Engineer (SE). Call the SE only if the division has not acted on a complaint that already has a number.

The numbers run in one series, 0319-8088115 to 0319-8088208, in division order. Each division starts with its XEN, then its SDOs, then its revenue officer. So if a number is busy, the next one up or down is usually in the same division.

How to get a QESCO complaint fixed

A complaint with a number can be tracked and pushed up the chain. A call without one is easy to lose. Follow this order.

1. Find the reference number and subdivision on your QESCO bill. A free copy is on QESCO bill check online.
2. Call 118 and write down the complaint number.
3. If nothing happens, call your SDO from the table above and quote the number.
4. Then call the XEN of the division, and after that the SE of the circle.
5. For a wrong bill, take the bill and a meter photo to the revenue officer.
6. If QESCO does not act, file a complaint with NEPRA, the power regulator.

Report electricity theft to QESCO

QESCO asks people to report theft on its toll free number, 0800-84338. Its website calls electricity theft "a crime against every Pakistani".
