The Rs 40,000 Premium Prize Bond draw is on Thursday 10 December 2026 at Lahore. If the prizes match the September draw, it pays one first prize of Rs 80,000,000, three second prizes of Rs 30,000,000 and 660 third prizes of Rs 500,000. Only bonds issued by 11 October 2026 are in it. Below are the prizes after tax, the last four winning numbers, and how to check your bond.

We read the 2026 draw schedule letter of the Central Directorate of National Savings, the Rs 40,000 result files and the National Savings FAQ on savings.gov.pk on 26 October 2026. The schedule lists 10-12-2026 (Thursday) at Lahore for the Rs 40,000 bond, alongside the Rs 25,000 bond at Karachi.

Rs 40,000 premium bond draw date: 10 December 2026 at Lahore

The last Rs 40,000 Premium Prize Bond draw of 2026 is on Thursday 10 December at Lahore. Going by the official result files it is the 39th draw, after the 38th at Sialkot. A public holiday would move it to the next working day.

The 10th has not always been the day. National Savings' own list of past draws shows the December draw on 12 December in 2022 and 2023, when the 10th fell on a weekend. In 2026 the 10th is a Thursday, so no move is expected.

Bonds issued after 11 October 2026 miss the December draw

The National Savings FAQ says a prize bond must be issued at least 60 days before the draw to win. Sixty days before 10 December 2026 is Sunday 11 October, so a Rs 40,000 premium bond bought after that waits for March 2027.

The FAQ calls these 60 days the "shut period". In practice, 11 October was a Sunday when offices were closed, so a bond bought in the first half of October is in, and one bought this week is not. It still earns profit from purchase, which is the main difference from an ordinary bond.

The Rs 40,000 bond pays Rs 80 million first prize and 664 prizes in all

The September 2026 result file lists one first prize of Rs 80,000,000, three second prizes of Rs 30,000,000 and 660 third prizes of Rs 500,000. That is 664 prizes worth Rs 500 million in each draw, and the June 2026 file shows the same amounts.

Third660Rs 500,000Rs 425,000Rs 350,000

The tax rates come from the National Savings FAQ: 15% for people on the FBR's Active Taxpayer List and 30% for others, on both prizes and profit. Being a filer on draw day is worth Rs 12 million on the first prize. The rules are the same as on the tax on prize bond winnings for ordinary bonds.

Rs 40,000 Premium Prize Bond prizes before and after tax

The FAQ also gives a profit rate of 2.92% every six months, about Rs 1,168 a half year on one Rs 40,000 bond before tax. That FAQ page may not be current, so check the rate at the counter.

Recent Rs 40,000 first prize numbers

The first prize has gone to a different number every time, as you would expect from a random draw. Below are the last four first and second prize numbers we read in the official result files. Every bond number is six digits.

Past numbers do not make a number more or less likely to win in December. They are here for people who held a bond in those draws and never checked.

The prize goes straight to your bank account, with no claim form

A Premium Prize Bond is registered in your name. The National Savings FAQ says prize money and profit go directly to the bank account you gave at purchase, with no application form. Still check the list, so you know what to expect.

  1. Open the Premium Prize Bond Rs 40,000 page on savings.gov.pk after the draw.
  2. Download the result file for 10 December 2026 when it appears.
  3. Search the file for your six-digit bond number with Ctrl and F, or the find option on a phone.
  4. If you have won, check that your bank account in the bond record is still active and that your IBAN has not changed.
  5. If the money has not arrived in a reasonable time, contact the SBP Banking Services Corporation office that issued the bond, with your CNIC.
Five steps to check a Rs 40,000 Premium Prize Bond after the 10 December 2026 draw

Timing varies. In December 2025 and June 2026 the Rs 40,000 result file went up on the evening of the draw. In September 2026 it was posted four days later, on 14 September. So do not panic if the list is not there on 10 December.

Buying a bond for the next draw needs a CNIC copy, an account maintenance certificate with your IBAN, a tax certificate if you are a filer, and nominee details. The premium prize bond purchase steps list each paper, and every other 2026 date is on the prize bond draw schedule.

We read the 2026 schedule letter on the National Savings prize bonds page, the result files on the Rs 40,000 Premium Prize Bond page and the National Savings FAQ on 26 October 2026, and counted the September prizes ourselves. December prizes are not announced in advance, so the amounts assume no change.
