Below are all 16 regional office numbers and addresses, the local offices in Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Gujranwala, and which kind of office handles which problem. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) serves Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad. Sindh and Balochistan are served by SSGC, which has its own emergency and zone office numbers.

SNGPL's helpline 1199 handles leaks and urgent faults

SNGPL puts 1199 at the top of its website as its helpline. Use it for a gas smell, a fire risk or a supply cut. For billing, meter or name change questions, the regional office or a customer service centre near you can look up your account in person.

If you smell gas, do not switch on lights or appliances. Open the doors and windows, get everyone out, then call 1199 from outside. SNGPL also lists two emails: info@sngpl.com.pk on its homepage, and customerservices@sngpl.com.pk beside its head office address at Gas House, 21 Kashmir Road, Lahore, phone 042-99082000 to 06.

SNGPL has 16 regional offices, each with its own number

Every SNGPL area reports to one of 16 regional offices. Ring the regional office when a complaint centre cannot help, or when the problem needs a manager. The table lists each one's phone number and address exactly as SNGPL publishes them.

Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi have local offices closer to home

In the big cities, SNGPL runs sub region offices, customer service centres and complaint centres below the regional office. A complaint centre near you is usually the fastest place for a fault, and a customer service centre for paperwork such as a name change.

Each type of SNGPL office handles different work

SNGPL's list uses four main office types. Of the 182 offices, 87 are complaint centres, 34 are sub regions, about 41 are customer service centres and 16 are regional offices. Go to the type that matches your problem and you avoid being sent somewhere else.

How to get a gas complaint fixed faster

Have your 11 digit consumer number, your CNIC and a photo of the problem ready before you call. Ask for a complaint number every time. If nothing happens, ring the regional office with that number, then take it to OGRA.

1. Call 1199 for a leak or no gas, from outside the house if you smell gas.
2. For a bill or meter problem, call the nearest complaint centre or customer service centre from the tables above.
3. Give the consumer number from your bill and ask for a complaint number.
4. If nothing happens within a few days, call the regional office for your area and quote that number.
5. If SNGPL still does not act, file with OGRA, the gas regulator, and attach your complaint number.

Low pressure in winter is often a planned cut rather than a fault. Before you wait for a fitter, check SNGPL's low pressure and shutdown notices for your area. A stopped or faulty meter has its own process, covered under getting a gas meter checked or changed.
