SPSC Written Result: 19 Pass Associate Professor Economics, 10 Pass Assistant Professor Psychology in Sindh
SPSC passed 19 for Associate Professor Economics and 10 for Assistant Professor Psychology on 17 October 2026. See pass marks by group and the 7 day rule.

Short answer: The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has passed 19 candidates in the written test for Associate Professor Economics (BPS-19) and 10 for Assistant Professor Psychology (BPS-18) in the College Education Department. Both notices are dated 17 October 2026 and went up on the SPSC site on 19 October. Qualified candidates must send attested documents within seven days.
We opened both result notices on the SPSC written results list on 20 October 2026. They are scanned, signed public notices from the commission's office at Thandi Sarak, Hyderabad. The Economics test was held in August 2026 and the Psychology test in September 2026. This SPSC written result is the step before the interview. Nobody has been appointed yet.
SPSC passed 29 candidates in two college teaching tests
SPSC's two notices of 17 October 2026 pass 29 candidates in total: 19 for Associate Professor Economics (BPS-19) and 10 for Assistant Professor Psychology (BPS-18). Both posts are in the College Education Department, Government of Sindh. Interview dates have not been announced yet.

| Post | Test held | Male passed | Female passed | Total | Highest mark |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Associate Professor Economics, BPS-19 | August 2026 | 13 (5 rural, 8 urban) | 6 (1 rural, 5 urban) | 19 | 81 out of 100 |
| Assistant Professor Psychology, BPS-18 | September 2026 | 3 (1 rural, 2 urban) | 7 (2 rural, 5 urban) | 10 | 89 out of 100 |
Each list is split into general merit male and general merit female, and then by rural or urban domicile. That split matters in Sindh, where jobs are shared between rural and urban areas. If you are unsure which side your papers put you on, the rules on the Sindh domicile and PRC on Form D explain it.
We have left out names and roll numbers. Candidates should read the notice itself, because SPSC says its own website is where the result is published.
The pass mark changes for each group of candidates
SPSC did not use one fixed pass mark. Each notice lists four "datum marks", one for each group: male rural, male urban, female rural and female urban. In both lists we checked, each datum mark is exactly the lowest score among the qualified candidates of that group.
The spread is wide. In Economics, a male urban candidate qualified with 38 out of 100. In Psychology, a female rural candidate needed 81. The table shows all eight figures.

| Group | Economics, BPS-19 | Psychology, BPS-18 |
|---|---|---|
| Male, rural | 44 | 69 |
| Male, urban | 38 | 55 |
| Female, rural | 50 | 81 |
| Female, urban | 37 | 59 |
So a score alone does not tell you whether you passed. Your group does. A 60 would have passed in every Economics group but failed in Psychology for female rural and male rural candidates. The notices do not explain how SPSC works out the datum mark, and we could not find that method on the SPSC site.
Send attested documents within seven days
Every qualified candidate must send attested copies of the listed documents to the Assistant Director (Recruitment-III) at SPSC within seven days, and bring the originals on interview day. The notice does not say whether the seven days run from 17 October or from publication.
Counting from the notice date, seven days end on 24 October 2026. Counting from the upload on 19 October, they end on 26 October. Send by 24 October and you are safe either way. A courier with a tracking number gives you proof of the date.
- A copy of your online application form, signed by you.
- Three photographs, attested on the back.
- An attested copy of your CNIC.
- A copy of the fee challan, if you paid manually.
- Attested matric certificate showing date of birth, and intermediate certificate.
- Attested PhD or MPhil degree, teaching experience certificates and research publications, as the post requires.
- All mark sheets or transcripts, attested.
- An original No Objection Certificate if you are already in government service.
- Attested domicile and PRC on Form D, and any other document the advertisement asked for.
The general rules on SPSC interview documents and attested copies still apply on the day.

Experience and research rules differ for the two posts
The Economics post asks for a PhD or MPhil with 12 years of teaching and at least four research publications in HEC recognised journals. The Psychology post asks for a PhD or MPhil with five years of teaching and at least two publications. Both want a degree from an HEC recognised university.
Check your papers against these lines before you post them. A publication in a journal HEC does not recognise will not count. If you are not sure about your university, check it is HEC recognised first. Experience letters should show dates, since the count is in years.
That is a high bar for Associate Professor. Twelve years of teaching puts every eligible candidate well into a career. If you already work for the government, do not forget the original NOC, because a photocopy is not what the notice asks for.
The interview comes next, with no date yet
Passing the written test only moves you to the interview. SPSC has not published interview dates for either post as of 20 October 2026. The commission usually posts interview programmes and results on its website, so watch the interview list there.
SPSC also warns that the result is "issued as a notice only" and that it may correct errors at any stage. If your roll number is missing but you believe your mark should qualify, write to SPSC quickly with your roll number and the post name. The steps to check an SPSC written or interview result show where each list is posted.
Recent SPSC interview rounds have left seats empty when too few candidates qualified, as in the October 2026 interview results. We do not know how many Economics or Psychology posts are on offer, because we did not read the original advertisement.
Common questions
Where can I see the SPSC Associate Professor Economics result?
On the SPSC website under written results. The notice is dated 17 October 2026 and lists 19 qualified candidates by roll number, name, domicile and marks.
How many candidates passed the Assistant Professor Psychology test?
Ten. Three are men and seven are women. The highest mark was 89 out of 100, scored by a female rural candidate.
What is a datum mark in an SPSC result?
It is the qualifying mark for one group of candidates. In these two notices it equals the lowest score among those who passed in that group, so it differs by gender and by rural or urban domicile.
What is the last date to send documents?
The notice says seven days. Counting from 17 October 2026, that is 24 October. Counting from the 19 October upload, it is 26 October. Send by 24 October to be safe.
When will the interviews be held?
SPSC has not announced dates yet. Watch the interview programme list on the SPSC website and the email or SMS on your SPSC account.
Does passing the written test mean I have the job?
No. The written test is pre-interview. Final selection comes after the interview, on merit within your quota group.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read both SPSC public notices on 20 October 2026: the Associate Professor Economics written result and the Assistant Professor Psychology written result, both dated 17 October 2026 and both uploaded on 19 October 2026 according to the server. The counts by group, the highest marks and the check that each datum mark equals the lowest qualifying score are our own reading of the two lists. We could not verify the number of posts advertised, how SPSC calculates the datum mark, or the start date of the seven day window, and we did not see an interview schedule.
