How to Convert Telenor Prepaid to Postpaid in Pakistan

You can switch your Telenor prepaid number to postpaid online, on Telenor's "Switch to Postpaid" page or in the My Telenor app, and keep the same number. Telenor says the lowest monthly line rent you can pick is Rs 435, and 15 per cent withholding tax is charged on top outside Gilgit-Baltistan. On conversion Telenor lists a one time 5GB bonus, plus 6,000 free SMS and 2GB of social MBs.

We read Telenor Pakistan's Switch to Postpaid page, its postpaid FAQ and the My Telenor app listing on 22 September 2026. We did not place an order, so we describe the process and terms as Telenor publishes them.

What Telenor postpaid costs, as listed

The Rs 435 is the line rent before tax. Your real bill will be higher once withholding tax and any usage outside the plan are added. Telenor's FAQ also mentions a postpaid security deposit and says to visit a franchise with your original CNIC to get it back. The page does not state the deposit amount.

How to switch Telenor prepaid to postpaid online

1. Open the Switch to Postpaid page on telenor.com.pk, or open My Telenor and choose Convert to Postpaid. The app listing says you can make a plan of your choice there.
2. Build your plan. Choose how many Telenor minutes, other network minutes, internet MBs and YouTube MBs you want. Telenor's page offers set steps, for example 550 to 11,000 Telenor minutes and 5,000 to 50,000 MBs. The line rent updates as you choose.
3. Check the line rent is at least Rs 435. Telenor will not let you continue below that.
4. Enter your details and pay if the page asks for online payment. Telenor says an order cannot be cancelled once you have paid online.
5. Take the confirmation call. Telenor says its representative will call from 0345-1111130, between 9am and 9pm, Monday to Saturday, to confirm delivery details.
6. Receive and activate the connection, then check your resources.

Telenor's page says it is not responsible for any details you share with its courier partner. Hand over only what the order needs.

Converting at a franchise instead

If you would rather do it in person, go to a Telenor franchise with your original CNIC. The SIM should be in your own name, because biometric checks on Telenor SIMs are done at franchises against the owner's CNIC. Telenor's FAQ recommends a plan called Freedom 420 and an add-on called Data Bolt 450, though we did not read those plan pages and cannot give their current terms.

How billing works after you switch

• Your first bill is pro-rated. Telenor says billing is based on your activation date, but plan resources are given in full.
• Resources refresh each cycle. Free line rent resources restart at the start of every bill cycle.
• The bill is due when it is generated. Pay within 14 days of the due date, or Telenor may block the connection.
• Prices can change. Telenor's page says it may revise prices as it sees fit.

The My Telenor app listing says you can pay postpaid bills inside the app.

Things to do before you switch

1. Use up or note any prepaid balance and bundles. We could not find Telenor's rule on what happens to unused prepaid balance, so ask before you convert.
2. Check the SIM is registered to you. Telenor says to send "MNP" to 667, at Rs 2.39, for ownership details.
3. Stop any weekly services you do not want, because they may carry onto your bill.

When the conversion goes wrong

• No call from Telenor after ordering. Call 345 from your Telenor number with your order details.
• Bill higher than expected. Check that tax, usage outside the plan and add-ons explain the difference.
• Connection blocked. Check your dues. Telenor blocks for bills unpaid after 14 days from the due date.

Safety warning

Order only through telenor.com.pk, the My Telenor app or a franchise. Telenor names 0345-1111130 as its confirmation caller. Be careful with any other caller who offers a "special postpaid plan" and asks for your CNIC photo or a one time code. Hang up and call 345 yourself.

Where to complain

Call 345 or 042-111-345-100, or complain in the My Telenor app, and keep the complaint number. Telenor's contact page says a connected call costs Rs 2.69 including tax, while the postpaid page gives Rs 2 plus tax. The two pages do not quite match, so expect to pay up to Rs 2.69 a call. If a billing dispute is not fixed, complain to PTA. Telenor Pakistan is now part of the same company as Ufone after a merger reported as closing on 1 July 2026.
