UPaisa's fourth quarter 2026 schedule makes wallet to wallet transfers, bill payments, mobile loads and QR payments free. Cash withdrawal at an agent costs Rs 7 to Rs 690, sending to a CNIC costs Rs 55 to Rs 650, and transfers to banks are free up to Rs 25,000 a month, then 0.1 per cent plus FED or Rs 200. The full list, the Level 0 and Level 1 limits and every *786# code are below.

UPaisa is the wallet run by U Microfinance Bank, linked to Ufone. Its schedule of charges for 1 October to 31 December 2026 is published on upaisa.com, and we read it with the UPaisa FAQ on 31 October 2026. A few fees catch people out, especially the Rs 5 charge for each USSD dial and the Rs 50 monthly fee on a dormant wallet.

Sending to another UPaisa wallet is free; cash out is charged by slab

Wallet to wallet transfers up to Rs 50,000 are free, and so are utility bills, postpaid bills, prepaid loads, online and QR payments. Withdrawing cash at a UPaisa agent costs Rs 7 for up to Rs 200 and Rs 690 for Rs 40,001 to Rs 50,000, with FED included.

Cash out at an agentFee
Rs 1 to Rs 200Rs 7
Rs 201 to Rs 500Rs 12
Rs 501 to Rs 1,000Rs 24
Rs 1,001 to Rs 2,500Rs 46
Rs 2,501 to Rs 4,000Rs 75
Rs 4,001 to Rs 6,000Rs 100
Rs 6,001 to Rs 8,000Rs 130
Rs 8,001 to Rs 10,000Rs 180
Rs 10,001 to Rs 13,000Rs 230
Rs 13,001 to Rs 16,000Rs 280
Rs 16,001 to Rs 20,000Rs 330
Rs 20,001 to Rs 25,000Rs 380
Rs 25,001 to Rs 30,000Rs 470
Rs 30,001 to Rs 40,000Rs 560
Rs 40,001 to Rs 50,000Rs 690

Two slabs differ from JazzCash and Easypaisa. For Rs 501 to Rs 1,000 UPaisa charges Rs 24 where the other two charge Rs 20, and for Rs 1,001 to Rs 2,500 it charges Rs 46 against their Rs 40. The rest match. Cash deposit at an agent costs 0.5 per cent plus FED, although UPaisa's FAQ still calls deposits free.

The cheapest way to get cash out is often an ATM. A UPaisa card withdrawal of up to Rs 2,500 at another bank's ATM costs Rs 35, and U Bank's own ATMs are free. The schedule lists higher ATM slabs too, but the amounts did not print in the copy we could read.

Rs 15,001 to Rs 20,000Rs 500Rs 155
Rs 20,001 to Rs 25,000Rs 650Rs 170

Someone without a wallet who sends cash to your UPaisa wallet through an agent pays Rs 25 for up to Rs 1,000, Rs 50 up to Rs 2,500, Rs 75 up to Rs 4,000, Rs 100 up to Rs 7,000, Rs 140 up to Rs 10,000, Rs 180 up to Rs 15,000, Rs 220 up to Rs 20,000 and Rs 260 up to Rs 25,000. Collecting money sent to your CNIC is free, and the schedule says received money over the counter is free of cost. From your own wallet, a bank transfer under the monthly free allowance is far cheaper than the agent's over-the-counter rate.

Note one difference from the other fees. UPaisa says its charges include FED, except the IBFT fee from a mobile account, where FED is added on top. Non-filers also pay withholding tax "in addition to above charges" at whatever rate the government sets.

Level 0 can send Rs 25,000 a day; Level 1 doubles that

UPaisa's FAQ gives a Level 0 wallet Rs 25,000 a day, Rs 50,000 a month and Rs 200,000 a year. A Level 1 wallet gets Rs 50,000 a day and Rs 200,000 a month. To move up, visit a UPaisa agent with biometric verification and get the wallet upgraded.

  1. Find the nearest agent: send Y to 4589 by SMS, or tap Locate Us in the UPaisa app.
  2. Take your original CNIC and the phone with your UPaisa SIM.
  3. Ask the agent to upgrade your wallet to Level 1 with biometric verification.
  4. Place your fingers on the scanner when asked.
  5. Check your limits in the app or on *786# afterwards.

Those are tight limits next to JazzCash's published Rs 100,000 a day for its basic level, so a family that moves larger amounts may outgrow UPaisa quickly. Only one UPaisa wallet is allowed per CNIC, and it must be opened on a SIM registered to that same CNIC. The upgrade itself is covered in our page on increasing UPaisa transaction limits.

Card, USSD and dormant account fees

A UPaisa PayPak or UnionPay debit card costs Rs 1,000 plus tax, a physical Mastercard Rs 799 and a virtual Mastercard Rs 300. The physical card's annual fee is Rs 300 plus tax. Each USSD dial costs Rs 5, each USSD transaction Rs 1, and a dormant wallet pays Rs 50 a month.

  • Card replacement: Rs 1,000 plus tax.
  • ATM balance inquiry at a 1LINK or MNET machine: Rs 5. Free at U Bank ATMs.
  • USSD balance inquiry: Rs 1 including tax.
  • SMS alerts for app users: Rs 50 a month.
  • Helpline call on 7777 from Ufone: Rs 2.25 plus tax.
  • Inactivity fee: Rs 50 a month after 12 months with no activity.
  • UCash nano loan: Rs 5 plus tax per Rs 100 borrowed, every week.

The Rs 5 per dial is the one to watch. Opening *786# five times while you hunt for the right menu costs Rs 25 before you have done anything. The app avoids it. If you would rather use USSD, the shortcut codes below take you straight to the right screen. Our page on UPaisa transfers without the app walks through the menus.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read the UPaisa fee calculator page and the U Microfinance Bank Branchless Banking Schedule of Charges for 1 October to 31 December 2026 linked from it, plus the UPaisa wallet FAQ and terms, on 31 October 2026. The ATM withdrawal fees above Rs 2,500 did not print in our copy of the schedule, so we do not quote them. The FAQ calls cash deposits free while the schedule lists 0.5 per cent plus FED; we follow the schedule.
