AFIC Rawalpindi Appointment: 051-9271002, Every Clinic's Extension and OPD Timings (Entitled and CNE)
AFIC Rawalpindi appointment on 051-9271002: every clinic's extension, floor and days, Entitled 8 am to 3 pm, CNE 3 pm to 7 pm, and why to call, not the form.

AFIC Rawalpindi's number is 051-9271002, with lines running to 9271010. The cardiology OPD is on the first floor, extension 3174, Monday to Friday. Entitled patients are seen 8 am to 3 pm and the CNE slot runs 3 pm to 7 pm. Below is every clinic's floor, extension and days, how the online form works, and what to do at weekends, when only the emergency is open.
AFIC-NIHD stands for the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology and National Institute of Heart Diseases. It is on Military Hospital Road, Rawalpindi, and treats adults and children with heart disease. We read its home, appointment, clinic schedule, online reports and contact pages, and checked the appointment form's code, on 1 November 2026.

AFIC's main number is 051-9271002, extensions 3170 to 3174
AFIC lists (+92) 51-927-1002 as its main and emergency number, written as "9271002 up to 10", so lines 9271002 to 9271010 reach the exchange. Each OPD has an extension: 3174 for cardiology and echo, 3170 for nuclear cardiology and ETT, 3172 for surgery, paediatrics and EP.
| Clinic | Where | Extension | Days |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cardiology OPD | 1st floor | 3174 | Monday to Friday |
| Echocardiography (ECHO) | OPD, 1st floor | 3174 | Monday to Friday |
| Nuclear cardiology | Ground floor, near the ramp | 3170 | Monday to Friday |
| Exercise tolerance test (ETT) | OPD, ground floor | 3170 | Monday to Friday |
| Cardiac surgery OPD | 2nd floor | 3172 | Monday to Thursday |
| Paediatric cardiology OPD | 2nd floor | 3172 | Monday, Wednesday, Thursday |
| Electrophysiology (EP) OPD | 2nd floor | 3172 | Monday and Thursday |
The email address is info@afic.gov.pk. AFIC's home page also has a WhatsApp link marked "Need help?", to 0302-1112184. Its prefilled message mentions the website, so treat it as a help line rather than a booking line, and call the extension for appointments.
Entitled patients are seen 8 am to 3 pm, the CNE slot 3 pm to 7 pm
AFIC's clinic schedule splits every OPD day into two slots. The Entitled slot runs from 8 am to 3 pm and the CNE slot from 3 pm to 7 pm. The same two slots apply to every clinic, on the days that clinic runs.

AFIC's site does not define either label or spell out CNE, so ask on the extension which slot applies to you before you travel. Turning up in the wrong slot is the most avoidable wasted trip here.
The home page gives broader hours, "Mon-Fri 09:00-20:00" and "Sat-Sun Emergency only". So there is no weekend OPD. The emergency department is listed as open 24/7.
Call rather than rely on the online appointment form
AFIC's site has an appointment form asking for name, gender, email, phone, date, type (Entitled or CNE), timing and department. When we read the page's code on 1 November 2026, the form had no address to send the request to, so we would not rely on it.
We did not submit it, because it would have made a request in somebody's name. But a form with no destination usually just reloads the page. The safer route is the phone:
- Decide the clinic: cardiology, cardiac surgery, paediatric cardiology or EP.
- Check its days in the table above.
- Call 051-9271002 and ask for the clinic's extension.
- Confirm whether you come in the Entitled or the CNE slot.
- Bring your CNIC, previous ECG or echo reports and the referral, if you have one.
Plan the trip around the clinic's days. Paediatric cardiology runs only three days a week and electrophysiology only two, so a family travelling from outside Rawalpindi should confirm the day on the phone before booking transport. Bring the child's B-form as well as a parent's CNIC for a paediatric visit.
The form's department list covers adult cardiology, adult cardiac surgery, adult cardiac anaesthesia, paediatric cardiology, congenital and paediatric cardiac surgery, electrophysiology, and gynaecology and obstetrics.
Online reports were marked "under construction"
AFIC's Online Reports page describes downloads for blood tests, imaging and prescriptions, but when we opened it on 1 November 2026 it ended with a "Page Under Construction" notice. Ask for paper copies at the counter until it works.
The page's own help line for missing reports is the same 051-9271002, or info@afic.gov.pk. Keep paper copies of every ECG, echo and angiography report anyway; a cardiologist anywhere will ask for them. Other Rawalpindi hospitals publish their own OPD hours, such as Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi OPD timings and Benazir Bhutto Hospital.

Zakat and Bait-ul-Maal support is listed for patients who cannot pay
AFIC's menu lists patient welfare, welfare support, zakat support and Bait-ul-Maal. The site gives no rules or forms for these, so ask the patient welfare office at the hospital about eligibility before surgery is scheduled.
Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal's own medical assistance has its rules, set out in Bait-ul-Maal medical assistance, including that it does not pay bills already settled. Apply before the bill is paid, not after. For a federal government hospital in Islamabad instead, see the PIMS OPD timings.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read AFIC-NIHD's clinic schedule, appointment page, online reports and contact details, and the appointment form's page code, on 1 November 2026. AFIC does not publish fees, the meaning of CNE, or rules for zakat support, so we have not stated them, and we did not submit the form.
