Samsung Pakistan prints a security update end date on each phone's spec sheet: the Galaxy S26 FE is covered until 30 September 2033, the A37 5G and A57 5G until 31 March 2032, and the A07 and A17 5G until 31 August 2031. The Galaxy A13, still on sale on Samsung's Pakistan store for Rs 57,999, shows no date and does not appear on Samsung's current security update lists.

We opened 11 Galaxy phone pages on samsung.com/pk on 20 October 2026 and read the "Security Update Period (Valid until)" line at the bottom of each spec sheet. We then checked every model against Samsung's own list of phones that get monthly or quarterly security updates. The table below is the result, with the price each phone carried on the store that day.

Samsung lists an end date for security updates on each phone

On Samsung Pakistan's product pages, the spec sheet ends with a line called "Security Update Period (Valid until)". It gives the last month Samsung commits to sending security patches for that model. After that date, the phone keeps working but stops getting fixes.

A security update is a software patch that closes holes criminals use to break into a phone. Banking apps, wallets and WhatsApp all lean on those patches. A phone without them is not useless on day one, but each month it falls further behind. That is why the end date is worth more attention than one extra camera lens.

Of the 11 phones we checked, the S26 FE runs longest, to September 2033. The A27 5G, A37 5G and A57 5G reach 2032. The A07, A17, A17 5G, A26 5G and S24 FE end in 2031. The A13 and A34 5G pages show no date.

Prices change often, especially during Samsung Week sales, so treat them as a snapshot. The end dates are Samsung's, not ours. For the A37 itself, the price, specs and 5G bands are in the Galaxy A37 5G price in Pakistan.

Monthly and quarterly updates are not the same promise

Samsung's security site splits phones into two groups. Monthly models, such as the S26 FE and S24 FE, get a patch every month. The A57 5G sits on the monthly list under enterprise models. Quarterly models, which include most of the A series sold here, get one roughly every three months.

Three months is a long gap when a serious flaw is being used against phones. So a Galaxy A27 5G may last to 2032 on paper, but it gets fixes less often than an A57 in the meantime. Samsung also notes that timing varies by market, network and model, so a patch can reach Pakistan later than other countries.

The Galaxy A13 is still sold but is not on Samsung's update lists

Samsung Pakistan's store lists the Galaxy A13 with 64 GB at Rs 57,999. Its page has no update end date, and the A13 is missing from both the monthly and the quarterly lists on Samsung's security site. We found no Samsung statement that it still gets patches.

Missing from a list is not the same as Samsung saying "no more updates", and we have not confirmed which side is right. But for Rs 57,999 the A07 is cheaper at Rs 45,999 and has a printed date of August 2031. Spending more for a phone with no stated support makes little sense.

The A34 5G is different. Its page shows no date either, but it is on the quarterly list, so it still gets patches for now. Ask the seller how long, or pick a newer model with a date printed.

How to check the end date for your own Galaxy phone

Open your model's page on samsung.com/pk, scroll to Specifications, expand all and read the last line under Software Support. Then check your phone's own patch level in Settings, to see whether it is actually receiving the updates.

  1. Find your model number in Settings, About phone. It starts with SM-.
  2. Open that model's page on samsung.com/pk.
  3. Tap Specifications, then Expand all.
  4. Read "Security Update Period (Valid until)" near the end.
  5. Go to Settings, About phone, Software information, and note the Android security patch level.
  6. If the patch is more than four months old on a quarterly phone, run Software update.

Common questions

Where does Samsung show the security update end date?

At the bottom of each phone's Specifications on samsung.com/pk, under Software Support, as "Security Update Period (Valid until)".

Which Galaxy phone in Pakistan gets updates the longest?

Of the 11 we checked, the Galaxy S26 FE, until 30 September 2033. Samsung's S26 and S26 Ultra buy pages did not show the line.

Does the Galaxy A13 still get security updates?

Its Pakistan page shows no end date, and it is not on Samsung's current monthly or quarterly lists. We could not find Samsung confirming either way.

What happens after the end date?

The phone keeps working, but Samsung stops sending security patches. New flaws found after that date stay open on your phone.

Is a quarterly phone safe enough?

For most users, yes, if you install each update when it arrives. A monthly phone closes new flaws faster, which matters more if you bank on the phone.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 20 October 2026, Pakistan time. We read the spec sheets of 11 Galaxy phone pages on samsung.com/pk, including the Galaxy A37 5G page, and Samsung's list of models for monthly and quarterly security updates. We did not test any phone's update history, and we could not confirm whether the A13 has reached its end of support.
