An Easypaisa Easycash loan taken in the app costs 5 per cent a week on your first 30 loan cycles, 4.5 per cent from the 31st and 4 per cent after the 60th, charged on the outstanding amount every 7 days up to a cap of 40 per cent over 8 weeks. The same loan by USSD costs a flat 20, 18 or 16 per cent for 30 days. Easypaisa's loans page says you can borrow up to Rs 25,000. Buy Now Pay Later costs 10 per cent for 14 days or 20 per cent for 30 days.

These numbers come from Easypaisa Bank's own schedule of bank charges for October to December 2026, which we downloaded from easypaisa.com.pk and read on 19 October 2026. The bank publishes a new schedule every quarter, so the figures above hold until 31 December 2026 unless the bank changes them earlier. Anyone who has ever tapped "Get Easycash" at the end of the month should know what the fee really is before the money lands.

Easycash in the app costs 5 per cent a week, with no late fee

The app price is a weekly charge on the outstanding principal: 5 per cent for loan cycles 1 to 30, 4.5 per cent for cycles 31 to 60, and 4 per cent from the 61st cycle. The schedule says the charge compounds every 7 days, up to a maximum of 40 per cent in 8 weeks. The app route has no late fee.

A loan cycle is one loan taken and repaid. So a first-time borrower pays the 5 per cent rate, and the rate only falls after 30 completed loans. The schedule's words are "weekly charges to be compounded on outstanding principal every 7 days", which means each week's charge is worked out on what you still owe, including earlier charges.

Easypaisa also says markup is calculated per day of use, and that if you repay early, any markup already received for unused days is charged as an "early repayment fee". Paying back early does not give the unused days back.

Easypaisa Easycash loan rates by channel: 5 per cent a week in the app, 20 per cent flat on USSD

The USSD route costs a flat 20 per cent for 30 days and adds a late fee

If you take Easycash by dialling the USSD code instead of the app, the schedule lists a flat 30 day charge on the principal: 20 per cent for cycles 1 to 30, 18 per cent for cycles 31 to 60 and 16 per cent after that. A late fee of 5 per cent of the outstanding principal applies after 2 days of grace.

The two routes are not the same product in cost. A 30 day USSD loan at 20 per cent is a single flat charge. An app loan at 5 per cent a week compounds, so over four weeks it reaches about 21.6 per cent, and over 8 weeks it would reach about 47.7 per cent if the cap did not stop it at 40 per cent. For a loan repaid inside two weeks, the app is cheaper. For a loan you expect to carry a full month or more, the two are close, and the USSD late fee is the extra risk.

What a Rs 10,000 Easycash loan costs over two, four and eight weeks

On the app's first-cycle rate, Rs 10,000 costs Rs 500 in the first week, about Rs 1,025 by the second week, about Rs 2,155 by the fourth and Rs 4,000 at the 8 week cap. By USSD, the same Rs 10,000 costs a flat Rs 2,000 for 30 days, plus Rs 500 if you pay late.

These are our own calculations from the schedule, compounding 5 per cent weekly on the outstanding balance. The weekly total runs 10,500, 11,025, 11,576 and 12,155 rupees over four weeks. At 8 weeks the compounded figure would be about Rs 14,775, but the 40 per cent cap holds it at Rs 14,000. Easypaisa's sheet does not show a worked example, so check the figure on your own loan screen before you confirm.

For comparison, the JazzCash ReadyCash loan cost per week follows a similar weekly model on the rival wallet. Five per cent a week is about 260 per cent a year in simple terms, which is why a wallet loan should bridge a few days, not a few months. For a larger or longer loan, the eight things a bank must tell you under SBP rules apply before you sign.

Buy Now Pay Later costs 10 per cent for 14 days or 20 per cent for 30 days

Easypaisa's Buy Now Pay Later covers QR payments, utility bills, mobile packages and easyload. The schedule lists a 10 per cent charge for a 14 day tenor and 20 per cent for 30 days, with a one-off late fee of 5 per cent on the outstanding principal. Early repayment again keeps the markup for unused days.

Ten per cent for two weeks is the same pace as 20 per cent for a month, so the shorter tenor only saves money if you actually repay in 14 days. Paying a Rs 5,000 electricity bill on BNPL for 30 days costs Rs 1,000 in markup. That is far above the Rs 5 to Rs 30 a month Easypaisa charges to pay bills from your own balance, which the guide to JazzCash and Easypaisa charges sets out. A Sarmaya Qarza personal loan is also listed on the loans page, but its price is not in the branchless schedule we read, so we cannot state it.

How to take Easycash, and how to keep the cost down

Log in to the Easypaisa app, tap Easycash Loan on the home screen, tap Get Easycash and fill in your details. Use the app rather than USSD, borrow only what you can repay within a week or two, and repay in full as soon as money arrives.

  1. Open the Easypaisa app and log in with your PIN.
  2. Tap Easycash Loan on the home screen, then Get Easycash.
  3. Read the amount, the charge and the due date on the screen before you confirm.
  4. Repay from the same screen as soon as you can. The charge is counted per week, so day 8 costs as much as day 14.
  5. Keep the confirmation SMS and the app receipt in case of a dispute.

If a loan you never took shows on your account, or a deduction does not match the schedule, call Easypaisa on 3737 from a Telenor number or 042 111 003737 from any network. If the bank does not fix it, the steps to complain about a microfinance bank or wallet go to SBP's Sunwai portal, because Easypaisa Bank is a microfinance bank. Loan offers by SMS from unknown numbers are not Easycash; the SECP warning on fake loan apps explains the pattern.

Common questions about Easypaisa Easycash

How much can I borrow with Easycash?

Easypaisa's loans page says you can borrow up to Rs 25,000. The amount offered to you depends on your account history, which the bank does not publish.

What is the Easycash interest rate?

In the app it is 5 per cent a week on the outstanding amount for your first 30 loans, compounded every 7 days, capped at 40 per cent in 8 weeks. By USSD it is a flat 20 per cent for 30 days.

Is there a late fee on Easycash?

Not on app loans. USSD loans carry a 5 per cent late fee on the outstanding principal after 2 days of grace.

Do I save money by repaying early?

You stop new weekly charges, but Easypaisa keeps any markup already received for the unused days as an early repayment fee. Repay before the next 7 day mark to avoid another week's charge.

What does Buy Now Pay Later cost?

10 per cent for 14 days or 20 per cent for 30 days on QR payments, bills, packages and easyload, plus a 5 per cent late fee once if you miss the date.

Can I take Easycash without the app?

Yes, by USSD, but the charge is a flat 20 per cent for 30 days instead of 5 per cent a week, and a late fee applies.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 19 October 2026. All rates, the compounding wording, the 40 per cent cap, late fees and the early repayment rule come from Easypaisa Bank's schedule of bank charges for branchless banking, October to December 2026, and the Rs 25,000 limit and the in-app steps from the Easypaisa loans page and its FAQ page, all read on 19 October 2026. The worked examples are our own arithmetic. We did not take a loan, so we cannot confirm the amount or rate the app will show you, and the schedule does not price Sarmaya Qarza, so that product is not covered here.
