Short answer: Punjab has four kinds of PLRA land record service points: Arazi Record Centres (ARCs), Qanungoi centres (QARCs), Mobile centres (MARCs) and private Arazi Moawin franchises. Find the nearest on the map at punjab-zameen.gov.pk/serviceCenters, or the Arazi Moawin list on its own portal.

A farmer who needs a fard before a bank visit does not want to lose a day on the wrong counter. A buyer who needs a mutation entered has the same problem. The first step in any land record job in Punjab is knowing which centre can do it.

We read the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) home page, its service centres page and its Arazi Moawin information page on 11 October 2026. We did not visit a centre, so we cannot tell you queue times or staff behaviour.

PLRA lists three government centre types and a franchise

PLRA's home page counts 151+ Arazi Record Centres, 59 Qanungoi Arazi Record Centres and 20 Mobile Arazi Record Centres. A fourth route is the Arazi Moawin franchise, which PLRA says is authorised across all tehsils in Punjab.

PLRA gives only a count for the QARC and MARC types. It does not describe what each one does on that page, so ask at the centre before you travel with a stack of papers.

Use the map to find the nearest centre

Open the PLRA service centres page. It is titled Explore Arazi Record Centers Across Punjab and has a map with a Reset Filters button, so you can narrow the list by area. Note the address before you leave.

  1. Open punjab-zameen.gov.pk and choose Find your Nearest ARCs under Services.
  2. Use the filters on the map page to narrow the list to your area.
  3. Select the centre nearest to you and note its address.
  4. If you prefer a franchise, open the Arazi Moawin portal and choose its location list.
  5. Call the PLRA numbers on the site if the centre does not answer.

The map loads in a browser and can be slow on a weak connection. Try it on Wi-Fi at home before you set out.

Match the job to the service point

PLRA says a franchise can issue a fard and process a mutation. Services such as e-registration and e-stamp are listed as future additions. For a sale mutation the ARC route is described step by step, and we cover it in recording a land sale mutation at an ARC.

JobWhere PLRA points you
Fard (record of rights)Online portal, ARC or Arazi Moawin
Mutation of a saleARC, with buyer, seller and witnesses
Biometric verification for a property transferARC, per PLRA's FAQ
Update your CNIC in a land recordOnline or at an ARC, listed as a future service

For the fard, the steps are in how to get a fard online in Punjab. The franchise route, with its fees and who may apply, is in how to become an Arazi Moawin in Punjab.

On the CNIC update, PLRA says it confirms that you are the real owner and avoids future mistakes in the record. It lists the service under Future Services, so ask your ARC whether it is open yet.

Know how big the digital record is

PLRA's home page reports 23,542+ digitised mauzas, 1,755,664 intiqalat (mutations) and 3,252,506 fardat for the period July 2025 to present. These are PLRA's own counts and we could not check them independently.

A mauza is a revenue village, the unit in which land records are kept. If your mauza is not digitised, you may be sent to a different route, so ask when you call. If your record has a mistake, see how to correct a mistake in a Punjab land record.

Never pay an agent outside a centre who promises a faster record. PLRA lists its complaints line as (042) 111-22-22-77, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and its head office phones as (042) 99330111 and 99330112.
