FPSC Alternate Nomination Notice: What It Means and 26 Posts Listed Since 14 September 2026
FPSC's Nominations page lists 26 notices from 14 September to 2 October 2026. Learn what an alternate nomination against non-joiners means and how to check it.

Short answer: An FPSC alternate nomination is a second list of candidates the Federal Public Service Commission recommends when earlier nominees did not join. FPSC's Nominations page lists 26 notices dated 14 September to 2 October 2026. In the one we read, six alternates replace six non-joiners for Civil Medical Officer posts.
We opened FPSC's Results page, section Nominations, on 13 October 2026 and counted the entries. We then read the newest notice in full, the Civil Medical Officer (BS-17) notice posted on 2 October. We have not read the other 25. What we say about them is limited to their post names and dates.
FPSC listed 26 nomination notices in three weeks
The Nominations page shows a date and a case number with the post name for each notice. The oldest entry is 14 September 2026 and the newest is 2 October 2026. Nine entries share the date 14 September, which is the busiest day.
| Date on the page | Notices | Examples of posts |
|---|---|---|
| 2 October | 1 | Civil Medical Officer |
| 1 October | 2 | Senior Elementary Teacher (Physical, Male), Assistant Engineer |
| 28 September | 3 | Librarian (Female), Social Case Worker, Inspector |
| 24 and 25 September | 5 | Inspector (Investigation), Speech Therapist, Subject Specialist |
| 20 and 22 September | 5 | Audiologist, Assistant Director, Physiotherapist |
| 14 and 16 September | 10 | Warden, Lecturer (Male), Lady Medical Officer, Deputy Headmistress |

Some of the 26 notices may be first nominations and others alternates. FPSC's home page links to this page as Nominations / Alternate, and we only confirmed one alternate notice.
An alternate nomination replaces someone who did not join
The notice we read says the alternate nomination is issued against receipt of non-joiners. So FPSC first recommended a group of candidates, some of them did not take up the post, and FPSC then named the next candidates in line.
In that notice, FPSC recommended six alternates for Civil Medical Officer (BS-17) at the Frontier Corps Balochistan Hospital, Ministry of Interior. The notice is dated 29 September 2026 and was posted on the website on 2 October. A second table on the same page lists the six non-joiners they replace.
The case number printed on it is F.4-174/2023-R (FS-IV). Use the case number, not just the post name, when you search, because several notices share similar post titles.
How to read the columns on the notice
The notice has two tables of six names each. One lists the alternates recommended. The other lists the non-joiners. Each row has a serial number, a roll number, a name and a domicile with a quota code.
The codes on this notice include KP and Punjab for the province, and OM and WQ after them. As we read the codes, OM is open merit and WQ is women quota. FPSC does not define them on the page, so check any code you are unsure about with the commission.

- Find your post and case number on the FPSC Nominations page.
- Open the PDF and read the first line, which says how many alternates.
- Look for your roll number in the alternates table, not the non-joiners table.
- Check the domicile and quota code against your form.
- Watch FPSC's official channels for the next step.
What an alternate should do next
The notice we read does not tell alternates what to do next, and we did not see a joining deadline. Our page on how FPSC contacts candidates explains the web notice, email and SMS channels.
Be careful with calls and messages from anyone else. The notice we read does not ask for any payment. Fake offers often copy the style of a notice, so go to the FPSC site yourself and look for your roll number.
If your name is on a list, keep your documents ready. The checklist for the verification stage is in the guide to FPSC document verification and two attested sets. If you doubt that your experience counts for your post, read the page on what FPSC counts as experience.

Why the date on the notice matters
The notice was dated 29 September but appears on the site under 2 October. The notice does not give a joining period, so we cannot say which date would start any clock. If you are an alternate, ask FPSC in writing which date applies to you.
Also note that the PDF carries a download stamp of 2 October 2026. That stamp appears to show when the website file was generated, not when the decision was made.
Common questions
What is an alternate nomination at FPSC?
It is a list of additional candidates FPSC recommends against non-joiners, meaning earlier nominees who did not take up the post. The notice we read says so in its own note.
How many nomination notices did FPSC list?
The Nominations page lists 26 notices from 14 September to 2 October 2026, by our count on 13 October 2026.
Which post did the newest notice cover?
Civil Medical Officer (BS-17) at the Frontier Corps Balochistan Hospital, Ministry of Interior. Six alternates were recommended against six non-joiners.
Does FPSC charge for a nomination?
Nothing on the notice asks for money. Treat any message that asks for a payment to secure a nomination as fake and check the FPSC site.
Where do I look for my name?
On the FPSC website, Results, then Nominations. Search by case number and then by roll number in the PDF.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 13 October 2026, Pakistan time. We read the FPSC Nominations page and the notice for case F.4-174/2023-R, posted 2 October 2026. We read only that one notice in full. We did not read the other 25, so we cannot say how many are alternates or what their deadlines are. Candidate names are on the official notice and are omitted here.
