GEPCO Jobs October 2026: 3 Assistant Manager Posts in Punjab, Apply by 23 October
GEPCO has 3 Assistant Manager posts open until 23 October 2026. See the qualification, age limit 21 to 33, Rs 270 fee and how to apply through NTS online.

GEPCO has one open advertisement, for three Assistant Manager posts in Advanced Metering Infrastructure. The last date to apply is 23 October 2026. You apply only on the National Testing Service website, the test fee is Rs 270, and the posts are on contract for three years.
We opened the Career Opportunities page of the Gujranwala Electric Power Company on the evening of 7 October 2026. It lists one advertisement. We downloaded the two page advertisement PDF from the company's own site and read it line by line. This page repeats what that advertisement says, and nothing else.

GEPCO is hiring three Assistant Managers on contract
The advertisement has three posts with one seat each: Assistant Manager for Database Administration, Network Support and Meter Data Management. All three support the company's Advanced Metering Infrastructure, the smart meter system. Hiring is on open merit.
GEPCO is a public sector power distribution company. It says it serves more than 5.1 million consumers. Candidates from all over Pakistan can apply, so you do not need a Punjab domicile. The advertisement does not state a monthly salary. It says only "lump sum pay package", so we cannot give you a figure.
The appointment is on contract for three years at first. It can be extended if your work is satisfactory. The advertisement says plainly that contract staff will not be made permanent at any stage. If you want a regular government post, this is not one.
| Post | Seats | Type | Age limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Assistant Manager (Database Administration) | 1 | Contract, 3 years | 21 to 33 |
| Assistant Manager (Network Support) | 1 | Contract, 3 years | 21 to 33 |
| Assistant Manager (Meter Data Management) | 1 | Contract, 3 years | 21 to 33 |
Qualification and experience the advertisement asks for
All three posts need a four year Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering from a university recognised by HEC. You also need at least two years of experience in the relevant field.
The advertisement lists one qualification line for all three posts. It does not give a separate line for each. Read it as one standard for all three, and pick the post that matches your work. A person who has run databases should pick the first post. A person who has managed networks should pick the second.
Two points catch people out. First, if your result card shows a CGPA, you must get a transcript with marks in percentage from your university before you apply. Second, a candidate who is still waiting for a result cannot apply. Your final degree, transcript and domicile must already be issued on the last date. Computer knowledge, including MS Office, Excel, Windows, the internet and email, is called an added advantage.
If your degree is from abroad, check recognition first. The steps for HEC degree attestation take time, and the advertisement asks for a degree recognised by HEC.
Age limit and relaxation
The age range is 21 to 33 years, and it already includes five years of general relaxation. No further relaxation is allowed, except three more years for scheduled caste and Buddhist candidates. Serving staff of the government, WAPDA or a distribution company can apply up to 43.
The 43 year limit has a condition. You must have completed two years of continuous service in the government, WAPDA or a DISCO on the closing date. That date is 23 October 2026.
Serving government employees must apply through proper channel. At the interview you must bring a no objection certificate from your department. It must show your date of appointment and whether you are regular or on contract.
How to apply on the NTS website
Apply directly on the National Testing Service website at nts.org.pk. Pay the fee, fill in the form and submit it before 11:59:59 pm on 23 October 2026. Nothing is accepted by hand at GEPCO or at NTS.
- Open the Career Opportunities page on the GEPCO website and press "Click to Apply Through M/S NTS". It takes you to the NTS application portal.
- Create your NTS account with your CNIC, email address and mobile number. Give a mobile number that is not ported, because the roll number slip is sent by SMS and email.
- Choose your post and fill in the form with your education and experience.
- Pay the test fee of Rs 270 through any 1Link or 1Bill participating bank, ATM, internet or mobile banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash or a TCS Express counter.
- Submit the form before the portal closes on 23 October 2026, and keep your fee receipt.

Apply separately for every post you want. The advertisement says one form is needed for each post. For help with an NTS account, the advertisement gives NTS on 051-8444441 and query@nts.org.pk. If you have not used the testing service before, the notes on NTS test registration and results walk through the portal.
Fee, documents and selection
The test fee for these posts is Rs 540. GEPCO pays half, so you pay Rs 270. Disabled candidates pay nothing. You bring original documents and one set of attested copies to the interview, not to the application.
The fee rule follows an Establishment Division instruction, according to the advertisement. GEPCO pays its Rs 270 share straight to NTS.

Selection has two stages. Only candidates who pass the written test can be shortlisted. Only shortlisted candidates within merit are called to interview. NTS uploads the roll number slip at least one week before the test, with the centre, time and date. NTS runs the test, so test dates, provisional lists and results will appear on its website.
The advertisement also sets out some hard rules. Incomplete applications, wrong information or late applications are not entertained. Hiding or misstating facts can ban you from all future GEPCO recruitment tests. Dismissed employees and people with a criminal record are not eligible. Police and agency clearance is mandatory. No travel allowance is paid for the test or the interview. Mobile phones are not allowed inside the test centre. GEPCO can cancel the process or change the number of posts at any stage without a reason.
What we could not find on GEPCO's own pages
We found no other open advertisement and no link to any other GEPCO role. The Career Opportunities page shows only this one. We do not point to the company's other jobs, because there are none on that page today.
The advertisement carries no issue date, no salary figure and no test date. We do not guess them. If you want a number for the pay package, the only honest answer is to ask GEPCO's human resources office on 055-9200513. The head office is at 565-A Model Town, Gujranwala.
When we checked, the GEPCO site opened normally. We have earlier written that the company website sometimes will not load, and GEPCO online bill check explains the workaround. If the page is down on your try, wait and use the same Career Opportunities address later. Do not use a copy of the advertisement from a social media post or a listing site, because dates get changed in copies.
Other open government posts follow the same routine as in applying for government jobs online, and bank job applications use the same kind of portal.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked at about 8:30 pm PKT on 7 October 2026. We read the Career Opportunities page of the Gujranwala Electric Power Company at gepco.com.pk and the advertisement PDF it links to, which names the posts, qualification, age limits, fee, how to apply and the last date of 23 October 2026. We did not register on the NTS portal or submit a form, so the portal's own screens are not confirmed here. The pay package and the test date are not published in the advertisement.
