Google Search Profile for Creators: Not Open in Pakistan Yet, and What to Do Now
Google Search profiles are open only in Canada, India and the US. See why Pakistani creators cannot claim one yet, the 10,000 follower rule and what to do now.

Google Search profiles are not open in Pakistan yet. Google's help page lists only three countries: Canada, India and the United States. A creator needs at least 10,000 followers on YouTube, Instagram, X or TikTok, and must be 18 or older. Pakistani creators can prepare now, but should not expect to claim a profile today.
We read Google's Search profile help page and its Search Central guide on 11 October 2026. A Search profile is a single Google page that collects your content from your social accounts and website. Google says people who follow it may see more of your posts in Google Discover, the feed on the phone home screen.
Pakistan is missing from the list of countries. That is the main fact, and many how-to pages for creators skip it. We did not try to sign in from Pakistan, so we cannot say what the claim page shows to a Pakistani account. Google's own wording is what we rely on.
Search profiles are limited to Canada, India and the United States
Google's help page says Search profiles are currently available in Canada, India and the United States. Pakistan is not named. Google gives no date for adding more countries, so any Pakistani blog that promises a claim link is guessing.
The profile page sits at an address like profile.google.com/@yourhandle. Google builds some profiles itself, for people who already have a knowledge panel, which is the information box beside results for a name. In that case you "claim" the profile instead of creating a new one.
| Requirement | What Google says |
|---|---|
| Countries | Canada, India, United States |
| Followers | 10,000 on at least one of YouTube, Instagram, X or TikTok |
| Age | 18 or older |
| Content | Must meet Google's policy guidelines |
| Number of profiles | Up to 10 per Google account, one per brand or identity |
The 10,000 follower rule alone would exclude most Pakistani creators. The country list excludes the rest. So this is, for now, a thing to watch, not a thing to do.
What a Search profile does and does not change
A Search profile does not change your ranking. Google says creating one does not directly affect how your content ranks in Search. What it can do is help people find your accounts when they search your name, and show your posts to followers in Discover.
Changes to your name, links and bio need Google's approval and stay "pending" until checked. New content from linked accounts usually appears within 24 hours. A common name may not trigger the profile at all, because the profile is built to appear when someone searches for you, not for a shared name. Google suggests searching your handle instead.
Our view: do not make a profile the centre of your plan. Treat it as a free extra once it arrives. Your own website and your social pages still do the real work.
The website badge only helps once you have a profile
Google's Search Central page, last updated on 16 September 2026, tells site owners how to add a Search profile badge. It is a small button that links to your profile. You need a claimed profile first, so a Pakistani site gains nothing from adding it today.
For when it applies, the steps are short:
- Find your profile address in the form https://profile.google.com/@handle.
- Download Google's badge files, which are linked from the Search Central page.
- Add Google's link snippet, with the aria-label "Find us on Google Search", where readers will see it.
- Or use a plain text link in an author bio or newsletter.
- Keep the touch area at least 44 by 44 pixels on web, and do not stretch or recolour the logo.
If you also use Google's Preferred Sources button, Google says to use the stronger Search profile button with its label, so readers do not confuse the two. Our short guide to the Preferred Sources button for Pakistani news sites covers that one, which works for news publishers today.
What Pakistani creators can do now
You can prepare without a profile. Keep one consistent handle across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and X, keep a clear bio, and link your accounts from one website. Google joins profiles through your linked platform accounts, so tidy accounts make a later claim easier.
You can also watch how your content already appears in Google. Google's platform properties in Search Console now let a creator see how social and video content performs on Search, and we explain them in Search Console tracking for Instagram and TikTok. That is a feature you may be able to try before any profile reaches Pakistan.
If your income is the goal, a profile is minor next to the YouTube changes. See the YouTube Partner Program changes for 2027 for a deadline that really does cost money.
Check the page again before you spend time
Google updates the help page in place, so check it on the day you plan to claim. Look for the line that begins "Search profiles are currently available in", and see whether Pakistan appears. If it does, follow Google's claim steps and check your age and follower counts first.
Common questions
Can I create a Google Search profile in Pakistan?
Not according to Google's help page. It lists only Canada, India and the United States as of 11 October 2026.
How many followers do I need for a Search profile?
At least 10,000 on one of YouTube, Instagram, X or TikTok. You must also be 18 or older.
Will a Search profile improve my Google ranking?
No. Google says creating a profile does not directly affect your content's ranking. It may help followers see more of your content in Discover.
Can I add the Search profile badge to my Pakistani website?
Only after you have a claimed profile. The badge links to that profile, so without one there is nothing to link to.
How many Search profiles can one Google account have?
Up to 10, one for each brand or identity you manage. Each needs a linked account that meets the follower rule.
Where do people see my Search profile?
In Google Discover, by tapping your name, and in a knowledge panel in Search, where a "View Search Profile" link can appear.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 11 October 2026. We read Google's help page Create a new Search profile and Search Central's Add a Search profile badge to your website, last updated 16 September 2026. We did not test the claim page from a Pakistani account.
