Italy Student Visa from Pakistan: Universitaly, €10,179.85 Funds, €50 Fee and the Full Document List
Italy student visa from Pakistan: €50 fee at BLS-Intiana, €10,179.85 a year in funds, Universitaly pre-enrolment, apostilled FRC and B2 test. Full 15 item list.

An Italy student visa from Pakistan is a national type D visa that costs €50, paid in rupees at the BLS-Intiana centre. You need a Universitaly pre-enrolment validated by your Italian university, proof of at least €10,179.85 a year in a bank account in your name, health insurance of €30,000, a NADRA Family Registration Certificate and a B2 language certificate. Pakistani documents must be apostilled.
We read the Italian Embassy in Islamabad's study visa checklist, updated on 4 June 2026, and its fee and application centre pages on 1 November 2026. Italy refuses many Pakistani student files on paperwork, not on grades. So the list below follows the embassy's own order, with the money rules explained in plain words.
Italy's student visa for Pakistanis is a type D visa costing €50
University students need the national visa (type D) for study. The embassy lists the fee as €50, charged in rupees: PKR 16,290 from April to June 2026 and PKR 16,250 from July to September 2026. The rupee amount changes every three months, and you pay at the BLS centre.
| Item | What the embassy says |
|---|---|
| Visa type | National visa (D), study, university enrolment |
| Fee | €50, paid in PKR at the BLS centre |
| Rupee rate April to June 2026 | PKR 16,290 |
| Rupee rate July to September 2026 | PKR 16,250 |
| Where to apply | BLS-Intiana, booked at intianaitalyvisa.com |
| Minimum funds | €10,179.85 a year in the student's account |
| Health insurance | At least €30,000, valid across Schengen |
The October to December 2026 rupee rate was not yet on the embassy page when we checked. Ask the BLS counter before paying. The Italy visit visa from Pakistan uses the same centres but a different fee and checklist.

Applicants in Islamabad, Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad apply under the embassy
The embassy in Islamabad covers applicants who live permanently in the Islamabad, Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad areas. The consulate in Karachi covers Karachi and Quetta. You must apply at the BLS-Intiana centre for your area, and files from outside the jurisdiction are not accepted.
Proof of residence is part of the file: a residence certificate and a copy of your CNIC. A student from Peshawar or Rawalpindi should confirm on the BLS site which centre takes their district before booking.
The checklist has 15 items, starting with Universitaly pre-enrolment
The core items are the visa form, a photo, passport, flight booking, €30,000 insurance, accommodation proof, the Universitaly pre-enrolment validated by the university, a motivation letter, the admission letter, CIMEA comparability or a Declaration of Value, apostilled educational documents, a B2 certificate, proof of funds and an apostilled FRC.
- National visa (D) application form.
- One recent ICAO-format photograph.
- Proof of residence: residence certificate and a copy of your CNIC.
- Passport valid at least three months beyond the visa, with one photocopy and copies of old visas and stamps.
- Flight reservation or ticket, plus bookings for any travel inside Schengen.
- Health insurance of at least €30,000 for emergency hospital care and repatriation, valid across Schengen.
- Accommodation proof: a booking, a host's declaration on the official form, or a university declaration.
- Copy of your Universitaly pre-enrolment, validated by the university and signed by you.
- Motivation letter to the visa officer explaining your study plan.
- Admission letter from the Italian university.
- CIMEA Statement of Comparability with a Statement of Verification, or a Declaration of Value.
- Previous educational documents, original and copy, apostilled and translated into Italian.
- Language certificate at B2 level.
- Proof of your own and your parents' financial means.
- NADRA Family Registration Certificate in English, apostilled, issued within the last six months.
Only students whose pre-enrolment was validated without reservation may apply. If the university validated it "with reservation", fix that first. A visa file with a conditional pre-enrolment will not move.

The funds rule is €10,179.85 a year, and cash does not count
The student's own bank account must hold at least €10,179.85 a year. The embassy rejects cash, guarantees from people outside the family, bank guarantees and surety bonds. It also looks at the family's regular income over time, not only the balance on one day.
By our arithmetic, €10,179.85 a year is about €848 a month. The embassy warns against one-off deposits made just before the application. A sudden large credit in the account, with no income behind it, is exactly what it says it will look past.
Parents or relatives up to the fourth degree can support you. Their papers depend on what they do:
| Sponsor's work | Papers the embassy asks for |
|---|---|
| Employee | Tax returns for 3 years, payslips for 6 months, signed and stamped bank statements for 6 months, job contract, employer letter |
| Business owner or self-employed | Company registration, title or partnership deed, chamber of commerce or government registration |
| Retired | Pension statements for 6 months |
| Any sponsor | Affidavit of support, apostilled and translated into Italian |
A scholarship from an Italian university, a regional body or a reliable foreign funder can stand in for part of the funds. Bring the award letter.

Every Pakistani document must be apostilled and is valid for six months
Documents issued in Pakistan must carry an apostille. Only English documents, or those with a notarised Italian translation whose notary signature is also apostilled, are accepted. Each document is valid for six months from its issue date, so time your FRC and bank papers carefully.
The apostille comes from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which now needs online registration first, as set out in MOFA apostille online registration. Punjab residents can get a Family Registration Certificate at e-Khidmat, then send it for apostille.
For English-taught degrees, the embassy accepts a B2 certificate from a recognised body such as IELTS or TOEFL. The IELTS fee in Pakistan is the usual cost here.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the Italian Embassy in Islamabad's Study Visa (University Enrolment) checklist, its visa fee page and its page on where to apply, on 1 November 2026. The checklists were last updated on 4 June 2026. The €848 monthly figure is our arithmetic. The October to December 2026 rupee fee and the BLS service charge were not on the embassy pages, and the embassy gives no processing time for study visas, so we do not state them.
