JazzCash's official schedule of charges lists a PayPak debit card at Rs 999 to issue and Rs 299 a year, a physical Mastercard at Rs 999 and Rs 99 a year, and a virtual Mastercard at Rs 300 with no annual fee. Taxes are extra on these card fees. The schedule is valid for July to September 2026, and no October schedule was posted when we looked.

JazzCash's card page tells you how to order the card, but it does not print the price. The price is in a separate PDF that few people open. We read that PDF on 14 October 2026, and we pulled out every card line so you can compare before you pay.

PayPak and Mastercard cost the same to issue at Rs 999

JazzCash charges Rs 999 to issue either a PayPak debit card or a physical Mastercard debit card. A card for women also costs Rs 999. The virtual Mastercard is much cheaper at Rs 300. The schedule says fees are shown excluding tax unless it states otherwise.

That wording matters. A Rs 999 line means Rs 999 plus whatever tax applies, so your bill will be a little higher. The schedule states a few other items "incl tax", such as the Rs 35 ATM cash out, but not the card lines.

The annual fee is Rs 299 on PayPak and Rs 99 on Mastercard

The PayPak card carries the dearest annual fee at Rs 299. The physical Mastercard, the Visa card and the women's card each charge Rs 99 a year. The virtual Mastercard charges no annual fee. A footnote says only permanently blocked cards are exempt.

If both issuance and annual fees land in the first year, a PayPak card costs Rs 1,298 and a physical Mastercard Rs 1,098, before tax. That sum is our arithmetic, and the schedule does not say when the first annual fee falls due. The State Bank's rule that the annual fee may start only after you activate the card is set out in stop a debit card fee in Pakistan, and it is worth quoting if you are billed early.

A PayPak card is not only dearer. It also works inside Pakistan only unless it is co-badged with another network, as the PayPak card guide explains. In return it carries the insurance and fraud cover that PayPak lists for its cards.

The virtual Mastercard is the cheap way to pay online

A virtual card has a number but no plastic. JazzCash lists its issuance at Rs 300 and its annual fee at Rs 0. That makes it the cheapest card on the schedule. The schedule does not say where it works or what its limit is, so check in the app.

For paying foreign sites, the options and the yearly State Bank limit are covered in virtual cards for international payments. Before you pay online, switch off what you do not use. The steps are in how to turn off online and international payments on your debit card.

ATM use and PIN changes cost little

Changing or creating your debit card PIN is free, says the schedule. Checking your balance on a 1LINK or M-NET ATM costs Rs 4.67 including federal excise duty. Cash out at an ATM is Rs 35 including tax, which is far cheaper than a shop agent for larger amounts.

  1. Read the card lines in JazzCash's schedule of charges before ordering.
  2. Pick the card type: PayPak, Mastercard, virtual or women's.
  3. Order in the app, as the JazzCash debit card order guide shows.
  4. Activate the card only when you will use it, so the annual fee does not start early.
  5. Keep the app's block option handy in case the card is lost.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 14 October 2026. Every fee comes from JazzCash's schedule of charges PDF for 1 July to 30 September 2026, linked from the schedule of charges page, which still showed the 1 July 2026 statement. A schedule for October to December had not been posted. We did not order a card. Fees can change each quarter, so confirm in the app.
