Kerosene Oil Price in Pakistan From 17 October 2026: Down to Rs 326.75
Kerosene oil is Rs 326.75 a litre in Pakistan from 17 October 2026, down Rs 3.39 in OGRA weekly notice. See the levy inside it and what a 20 litre can costs.

Short answer: Kerosene oil costs Rs 326.75 a litre in Pakistan from Saturday, 17 October 2026, down Rs 3.39 from the Rs 330.14 that applied from 10 October. That is the maximum ex-depot price in the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) notification dated 16 October 2026, which we opened on 19 October 2026.
Kerosene is the fuel of the kitchen stove and the lantern in homes that have no piped gas, and of many mountain villages in the north. OGRA revises its price every Saturday, unlike petrol and diesel, which move every working day. This week the price fell for the first time in three weeks.
Kerosene is Rs 326.75 a litre from 17 October 2026
The new notification sets the maximum ex-depot sale price of kerosene at Rs 326.75 a litre, in force from 17 October 2026. The week before it was Rs 330.14. The fall is Rs 3.39, or about 1 per cent, and it comes after two small rises on 3 and 10 October.

| Effective date | Kerosene, Rs a litre | Change |
|---|---|---|
| 12 September 2026 | 324.35 | |
| 19 September 2026 | 347.32 | up 22.97 |
| 26 September 2026 | 321.86 | down 25.46 |
| 3 October 2026 | 329.54 | up 7.68 |
| 10 October 2026 | 330.14 | up 0.60 |
| 17 October 2026 | 326.75 | down 3.39 |
The price is still Rs 2.40 above the 12 September level and Rs 20.57 below the 19 September peak. The earlier sheets are in our reports on the 10 October kerosene price and in the standing kerosene oil price in Pakistan page, which explains the weekly cycle.
The whole cut came from the import parity price
The prescribed price, which bundles the import parity price with the levy and the margins, fell to Rs 319.84 from Rs 323.18, a drop of Rs 3.34. The freight margin fell 5 paisa to Rs 6.91. Nothing else in the sheet moved, so the import cost alone explains the lower price.
OGRA's notification says the prescribed price "includes ex-refinery import parity price, petroleum levy, distributor margin and dealer margin". The petroleum levy stayed at Rs 20.36 a litre. It is set by the Petroleum Division, and the notification cites its levy order of 21 August 2026. The distributor margin stayed at Rs 1.58, and the dealer commission and general sales tax lines are blank again.

| Line in OGRA's table | 10 October | 17 October |
|---|---|---|
| Prescribed price | Rs 323.18 | Rs 319.84 |
| Petroleum levy, inside the prescribed price | Rs 20.36 | Rs 20.36 |
| Inland freight equalisation margin | Rs 6.96 | Rs 6.91 |
| Distributor margin, inside the prescribed price | Rs 1.58 | Rs 1.58 |
| Dealer commission | none listed | none listed |
| General sales tax | none listed | none listed |
| Maximum ex-depot sale price | Rs 330.14 | Rs 326.75 |
By our arithmetic the levy is 6.2 per cent of the price. That is a far lighter load than petrol carries. On the same weekend petrol had Rs 80 of levy and Rs 5 of climate support levy in its Rs 386.30, as we set out in the 17 October petrol price.
Kerosene is now Rs 59.55 cheaper than petrol
Petrol is Rs 386.30 a litre and high speed diesel is Rs 396.96 from 17 October, on OGRA's daily sheet. So kerosene sits Rs 59.55 below petrol and Rs 70.21 below diesel. The gap with petrol was Rs 68.16 a week ago, and it narrowed because petrol fell faster than kerosene.
Each fuel is priced from a different world benchmark. Petrol follows the Arab Gulf petrol quote, diesel follows Dubai crude plus a fixed crack, and kerosene follows its own import parity. The method for the daily fuels is in the guide to the petrol price formula. Kerosene is priced once a week, so it lags the others by a few days in either direction.
What a can, a jerry can and a drum cost this week
At the ex-depot price, 5 litres of kerosene cost Rs 1,633.75, which is Rs 16.95 less than last week. A 20 litre jerry can costs Rs 6,535.00, down Rs 67.80. A 200 litre drum costs Rs 65,350, down Rs 678. These are our calculations from the notified figure.

The shop price can be higher. OGRA's note 2 says the maximum ex-depot price applies at 23 depots of the oil marketing companies and covers primary freight only. Beyond those 23 locations, and in what the notification calls special areas of Balochistan, Azad Kashmir and the Northern Areas, companies may add secondary freight up to the retail outlet. Note 3 says direct sales by oil companies follow government policy.
- Open OGRA's notified petroleum prices page and choose the notification effective 17 October 2026.
- Read the last column, maximum ex-depot sale price, for kerosene oil.
- Multiply by the litres you buy. For 20 litres that is Rs 6,535.00.
- If you live far from a depot, expect a freight addition, and ask the seller what it is.
- Check again next Saturday, when the next notification normally takes effect.
The next revision is due on Saturday, 24 October
OGRA has issued a kerosene notification for each Saturday since at least 12 September, each one superseding the last. This one supersedes S.R.O. 1830(I)/2026 of 9 October. On that pattern the next price takes effect on 24 October 2026, with the notification signed the day before.
Households that also buy cylinder gas can compare: the October LPG price is in our report on the LPG price for October 2026, and it changes monthly rather than weekly. For the daily fuels, the routine for reading OGRA's daily sheet is the same every evening.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 19 October 2026. Every kerosene figure comes from the OGRA notification dated 16 October 2026, effective 17 October 2026, which we opened from OGRA's notified petroleum prices page on 19 October 2026. The 10 October figures are from the notification dated 9 October, read for our earlier report. Petrol and diesel prices are from the OGRA price sheet effective 17 October 2026. Changes, percentages, fuel gaps and can prices are our own arithmetic. We could not open the Petroleum Division levy order of 21 August 2026 that the notification cites, so the levy figure is as printed by OGRA.
