A Pakistani e-passport in Saudi Arabia costs SAR 150 for 36 pages and 5 years on normal processing, and SAR 275 for 10 years, at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah. Urgent processing costs SAR 250 for 5 years and SAR 445 for 10 years. A lost passport doubles the fee the first time and quadruples it the second, up to SAR 2,660.

These are the consulate's own figures, read on 24 October 2026. Below is the full table for 36 and 72 pages, the papers to bring with your iqama, the delivery times, and the cheaper route most people miss: renewing online. If you live in Riyadh or the Eastern Province, read the note on the embassy further down first.

Pakistani passport fee in Saudi Arabia: the full SAR list

The Jeddah consulate lists e-passport fees in Saudi riyals for 36 and 72 page booklets, for 5 and 10 years, on normal and urgent processing. It also lists the higher fees for a first and second lost passport. It adds that fees can change on government instruction.

72 pages, second lostSAR 900SAR 1,480SAR 1,640SAR 2,660

The consulate says booklets come in 36, 72 and 100 pages, but its fee table has no 100 page row. Ask at the counter if you need one. Children under 15 can only get a 5 year passport.

Pakistani passport fee in Saudi Arabia for 36 pages: SAR 150 to SAR 445

The 10 year passport costs less per year than the 5 year one

On the consulate's prices, a 36 page passport for 10 years at SAR 275 works out to SAR 27.50 a year. The 5 year passport at SAR 150 works out to SAR 30 a year. Unless you are under 15, the 10 year book is the better buy.

The same pattern holds for 72 pages: SAR 41 a year for 10 years against SAR 45 for 5. The per year sums are our arithmetic from the consulate's table. The same logic applies at home, where the 10 year passport fee in Pakistan also undercuts the 5 year one per year.

Urgent processing is about two thirds more than normal at every level. For SAR 100 to SAR 170 extra you cut delivery from four weeks to two. Pay it only if you have a firm travel date inside a month.

A lost passport costs double, then four times

The consulate's table charges twice the normal fee for a first lost passport and four times for a second. A 36 page, 5 year passport rises from SAR 150 to SAR 300, then SAR 600. On urgent 10 year processing, a second loss reaches SAR 1,780 for 36 pages.

You also need an affidavit or undertaking for the loss. If you have to fly home before a new book is ready, an emergency travel document from the Jeddah consulate gets you back to Pakistan. Overseas Pakistanis can also apply for a lost, damaged or full passport online for the first and second loss.

Documents for a passport at the Jeddah consulate

Adults bring their original CNIC or smart card, original passport and original iqama, each with a copy. Children need extra papers and at least one parent present. A government employee on an ordinary passport needs a departmental NOC.

  • Original CNIC or smart card, with a copy.
  • Original passport, with a copy of the data page.
  • Original iqama, with a copy.
  • Birth certificate, for newborns only.
  • For under 18s: B-Form (CRC), CNIC or NICOP; a NADRA juvenile card if over 10; both parents' CNIC, passport and iqama.
  • For children of divorced parents: court custody papers, or both parents in person with no objection affidavits.
  • Affidavit or undertaking, if the passport was lost.
  • The other passport, if you hold dual nationality.
  • Proof for any change of name, date of birth or marital status.

Check your iqama's validity first. An expired iqama can hold up both the passport and any exit, and the steps to check iqama validity online take a minute.

How to apply: appointment, token, fee, biometrics

The Jeddah consulate takes passport work by online appointment. You bring the confirmation, get a token, pay the fee at the processing counter, give biometrics, then sign your data form at the decision counter. Normal delivery takes about four weeks and urgent about two.

  1. Book a passport appointment on the consulate's online portal.
  2. Show the SMS, email or PDF confirmation at reception and take a token.
  3. At the counter, pay the fee and give your photo and thumb impressions.
  4. Check the printed data form, sign it and hand it in at the decision counter.
  5. For home delivery, hand your receipt to the delivery counter.
Steps to apply for a Pakistani passport at the Jeddah consulate

The Jeddah consulate's online appointment system covers 11 cities in the western region, from Makkah and Madinah to Abha and Jazan. The consulate gives its passport hours as Sunday to Thursday, but its page shows two different times: 9 am to 4 pm in one place and 8 am to 4 pm in another. Aim for the later start to be safe. Phone numbers listed are 0126689149, 0558577893, 0558606308 and 0501914472.

Renewing online can save you the trip

For a plain renewal, the consulate points to the DGI&P online passport portal at onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk. You pay by card, upload documents, and DGI&P emails status updates. It suits anyone far from Jeddah or Riyadh.

DGI&P says the online fee is not refundable and cannot be moved to another person. Its online system also takes a newborn's first passport, a damaged or exhausted book, and a change of marital status or profession. Once you have applied, the usual passport tracking by token and SMS applies.

About Riyadh: the Jeddah consulate describes its own area as the western region, so most people elsewhere in the Kingdom deal with the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh. We could not open its passport page on 24 October 2026, because the site blocked automated reading. We did not see its fee table, so we cannot confirm it matches Jeddah's. Ask the embassy before you pay. Its 24 hour emergency numbers are a good first call.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read the Consulate General of Pakistan Jeddah passport page and the DGI&P online passport page on 24 October 2026. We could not read the Riyadh embassy's passport page, the 100 page fee, or the online portal's fee in riyals. The per year costs are our own arithmetic. Fees can change on government instruction, so confirm at the counter.
