Pakistani passport renewal in Bahrain: the papers adults and children need at the Manama embassy, the CID report for a lost passport, timings and phone number.
To renew a Pakistani passport in Bahrain, appear in person at the Pakistan Embassy in Manama with your paid fee challan, old passport, CNIC or NICOP, CPR and a copy of your resident permit. You do not need a form or photo. For a lost passport, get a CID loss report first. The embassy does not publish the fee, so ask before you go.
We read the embassy's passport page and consular page on 7 November 2026. They list every paper for adults, children, newborns and lost passports. Neither page gives a passport fee in dinars, and we could not confirm one elsewhere. Ring +973 1724 4113 for the current amount.
Adults bring seven things to the Manama embassy
Adults aged 18 and over bring the paid fee challan, CNIC or NICOP, the previous passport, CPR, and a copy of the resident permit. Government servants add an NOC. Dual nationals add their foreign passport. Originals and copies are both needed for most of these.

The embassy's biometrics are done at the counter, which is why it needs no form and no photo. Do check your ID card first. An expired NICOP will hold up the passport, and the NICOP renewal papers in Manama are a separate list.
A lost passport needs a CID report before anything else
The embassy's lost passport list starts with a loss report from the CID office in Bahrain. You then bring a copy of the lost passport if you have one, your CNIC or NICOP, your father's CNIC or NICOP copy if asked, your CPR and resident permit copy.
Keep a photo of your passport's first page on your phone. It saves real trouble here, because the embassy asks for that copy. The embassy page warns that extra papers may be needed in some cases, so a lost passport is worth a call before you travel to the Diplomatic Area.
- Report the loss at the CID office and take the report.
- Find a copy of the lost passport, or its number.
- Copy your CNIC or NICOP, CPR and resident permit.
- Call the embassy to confirm the fee and any extra papers.
- Book an appointment online.
- Appear in person between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon.
Other embassies charge more for a lost passport, and the DGIP's online lost passport route for overseas Pakistanis sets out that side. The Manama page does not state a lost passport multiple, so ask about it when you call. If you need to travel before a new passport comes, the same call can cover an emergency document.
Children need both parents' papers and one parent present
A child under 18 brings a CNIC, CRC or NICOP, both parents' original CNICs and passports, and a CPR with a resident permit copy. A parent or court-appointed guardian must come along. After a separation, the custody papers and a guardianship certificate are needed.
If a parent has died, bring the death certificate. Dual national children also bring their foreign passport. A newborn's list adds the original birth certificate and a marriage certificate copy, plus the parents' CPR and resident permit copies.

The child's CRC is where most families get stuck, so sort that out first through the NADRA route from abroad. Online newborn cases follow their own DGIP newborn passport steps.
The embassy's page and the e-passport change do not match yet
The embassy's page says it processes only machine readable passports, and it points to DGIP's online renewal site. Reports say Pakistan was moving away from new machine readable passports from 15 October 2026. Ask which book you will get when you call.
That difference matters for the fee and for the time it takes. The move from machine readable to e-passports also brings a choice of 5 or 10 year passports. We found no Bahrain notice on this. The Manama page may simply be older than the change, so do not assume either way.
Book online, come before noon and carry the exit papers if you need them
Passport appointments run from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and are booked on the Foreign Ministry's site. The embassy is at Building 35, Road 1901, Block 319, Diplomatic Area. For an expired visa with a valid passport, it also issues an exit permit letter.
That exit permit letter needs copies of your passport, CNIC and CPR. A worker going home for good can also ask for a Transfer of Residence certificate, which needs a letter from the employer stating the end of the contract with a clear date and number. Register with the embassy while you are at it, as the online embassy registration takes a few minutes.
