The main passport office in Multan is near Madni Chowk on Passport Office Road, New Multan Colony (061-9220088), and the Bahawalpur office is at 9-A Sawaar Muhammad Hussain Road, Model Town A (0621-9255362); both run morning and evening shifts. South Punjab has 24 passport offices and NADRA counters on the official list, from Rahim Yar Khan to Layyah, and the tables below give every address and phone number.

Distances are long in the south, so knowing the nearest counter can save a full day. We read the passport office list of the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGI&P) and its ordinary passport page on 28 October 2026. The office list was last modified on 20 July 2026.

Multan has five passport offices, and the main one works until midnight

DGI&P lists the main Multan office in New Multan Colony, an executive office in ChenOne Tower, a Bar Council counter, and offices labelled Jalalpur Pirwala and Qadirpur Rawan. The main office runs a morning shift and an evening shift to midnight.

The Bahawalpur division has three passport offices on the list: Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar. A NADRA counter in Khanpur also takes applications. Bahawalpur is the only one with an evening shift, and Bahawalnagar lists no phone.

South Punjab passport offices and counters by division

Only Multan is on the fast track list in south Punjab

DGI&P's list of 47 fast track cities includes Multan but no other south Punjab city. Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rahim Yar Khan are not on it. Since the e-Passport replaced the ordinary passport, ask in Multan whether fast track is still taken.

The full list is in fast track passport cities. Normal offices here work 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, with a break from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm, and close on public holidays. Multan and Bahawalpur add an evening shift from 4 pm to midnight. National hours are compared in passport office timings.

Passport Rule 6 of 2021 also lets you apply at any office, whatever your CNIC address. A Rajanpur family living in Multan can apply there, as explained in applying at any passport office.

Bring your CNIC and pay the e-Passport fee once

An adult needs the original CNIC with a photocopy, any old passport, and a department NOC for government staff. The e-Passport costs Rs 9,000 normal or Rs 15,000 urgent for 36 pages and five years, at every south Punjab office.

  1. Pick the nearest office or NADRA counter from the tables.
  2. Use Multan or Bahawalpur if you can only come after 4 pm.
  3. Carry your original CNIC, a photocopy and your old passport.
  4. For a child, bring Form B or the Family Registration Certificate and both parents' CNICs.
  5. Get a token, give your photo and fingerprints, and watch for SMS from 9988.

Ten year books cost Rs 13,500 normal for 36 pages and Rs 24,750 for 72 pages; see the full official passport fees. DGI&P says courier time to remote areas is extra, so a passport from Rajanpur or Taunsa may arrive later than one from Multan. If an office does not answer, call DGI&P on 051-111-344-777, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on working days.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 28 October 2026. Addresses and phone numbers come from DGI&P's passport office list (last modified 20 July 2026). The grouping as south Punjab is ours. Shift times, normal hours, Rule 6 and e-Passport fees come from DGI&P's ordinary passport page (last modified 23 October 2026), and fast track cities from its fast track page. We did not visit or call any office. We could not confirm where the office labelled Jalalpur Pirwala actually sits, or whether fast track still runs for the e-Passport.
