Petrol costs Rs 395.37 a litre in Pakistan from Tuesday, 13 October 2026, down Rs 2.93. High speed diesel is Rs 396.85, up 61 paisa. Diesel is now Rs 1.48 dearer than petrol, the reverse of 10 October.
That is the petrol price today in Pakistan. We read the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) price sheet effective 13 October at about 1:30pm PKT. OGRA is the regulator that works out fuel prices under the daily pricing system. Its sheet says both prices apply from "00:00 hours" on 13 October.
Petrol is Rs 395.37 and diesel Rs 396.85 today
From 13 October 2026, petrol is Rs 395.37 a litre and high speed diesel is Rs 396.85. Petrol fell Rs 2.93 from Rs 398.30 and diesel rose Rs 0.61 from Rs 396.24. OGRA's list shows no new sheet between 10 and 13 October, so the 10 October prices held over the weekend.

| Fuel | 10 October | 13 October | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Petrol | Rs 398.30 | Rs 395.37 | Down Rs 2.93 |
| High speed diesel | Rs 396.24 | Rs 396.85 | Up Rs 0.61 |
This is the biggest one day petrol cut in our October table. Petrol is Rs 3.59 below its Rs 398.96 high on 9 October. It is still Rs 7.97 above the Rs 387.40 of 1 October. The earlier days are in our report on the 10 October petrol price.
A lower world petrol price explains the cut
OGRA's sheet shows why petrol fell. The Gulf petrol price averaged $132.17 a barrel, down from $133.48 on the 10 October sheet. The rupee barely moved, at an average of Rs 277.17 to the dollar against Rs 277.19.
Petrol landed at Karachi now costs Rs 258.19 a litre, down Rs 2.92. The other parts of the price are almost the same. The exchange rate adjustment is Rs 1.47 and the inland freight margin is Rs 7.93, both unchanged. Customs duty is Rs 24.93, one paisa lower.

OGRA uses a seven working day rolling average, so a pump price follows the oil price of the past week, not of today. That lag is explained in why petrol does not fall the day oil falls.
Diesel is dearer than petrol again
Diesel rose 61 paisa to Rs 396.85, which puts it Rs 1.48 above petrol. On 10 October petrol was Rs 2.06 above diesel. The two fuels have crossed over because petrol is falling while diesel creeps up.
Dubai crude, the benchmark for diesel, averaged $108.43 a barrel, up from $108.07. The fixed diesel crack of $41.89 a barrel did not change. Diesel landed at Karachi costs Rs 273.61, up 61 paisa. The steps behind this number are in how Pakistan sets the diesel price.

Levies and customs still add about Rs 110 to each litre of petrol
The petroleum levy is Rs 80 a litre and the climate support levy is Rs 5. Customs duty is Rs 24.93. Together that is Rs 109.93 on petrol, about 28 per cent of the Rs 395.37 price. Petrol pays no sales tax. Diesel carries Rs 100.68, because its customs duty is Rs 15.68.
- Rs 258.19: petrol landed at Karachi port.
- Rs 1.47 and Rs 24.93: exchange rate adjustment and customs duty.
- Rs 7.93, Rs 7.87 and Rs 9.98: freight, company and dealer margins.
- Rs 80 and Rs 5: petroleum levy and climate support levy.
Those four steps add up to Rs 395.37. The levy total for the year is in our report on the Rs 1.567 trillion fuel levy.
What a fill costs today
A five litre bike fill costs Rs 1,976.85 today, Rs 14.65 less than at Rs 398.30. A ten litre car fill costs Rs 3,953.70, which is Rs 29.30 less. These are our sums from OGRA's price and exclude any pump premium.

OGRA's sheet is the reference price at the pump. A pump that charges more than the OGRA sheet is overcharging, and you can complain about a petrol pump. You can also check the official petrol and diesel price on OGRA's daily sheet yourself.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 13 October 2026, about 1:30pm PKT. We read OGRA's price publications page and its sheet effective 13 October 2026, and compared it with the sheet effective 10 October. The fill costs and the 28 per cent share are our own sums. We did not check pump prices at any station, and we did not confirm whether the relief scheme in force on 10 October still applies.
