A PNMC good standing certificate for the UK's NMC or any council abroad costs Rs 10,000. You send PNMC's verification form, the fee slip, the overseas body's request with its full address, and copies of your registration card and every diploma. Pakistani nurses applying to the Nursing and Midwifery Council in the UK, or to regulators in the Gulf, are asked for proof from home that their licence is valid and clean. In Pakistan that proof comes from the Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (PNMC), which calls it a Verification of Registration or Good Standing Certificate. The certificate for a body abroad costs Rs 10,000
PNMC charges a processing fee of Rs 10,000 when the verification goes to a council, regulator or organisation outside Pakistan. The same letter for an employer inside Pakistan costs Rs 1,000. Both figures are on PNMC's verification page and its fee table.

Pay into PNMC's Habib Metropolitan Bank account (corporate ID 473) or on a PNMC challan at the National Bank's NIH branch in Islamabad. The council refuses bank drafts and cheques. Keep the original slip; it goes with the file.
Four documents make a complete application
PNMC lists four requirements for a verification going abroad: its application form, the Rs 10,000 fee, the overseas body's request with that body's complete address, and photocopies of your registration card plus every nursing, midwifery, LHV or post-basic diploma and degree.
- Download the Application Form for Verification of Registration or Good Standing Certificate, a Word file on PNMC's verification page, and fill it.
- Pay Rs 10,000 at HabibMetro or on the NBP challan, and keep the original slip.
- Print the letter, verification form or email from the NMC or other regulator. It must show that body's complete postal or email address, because PNMC sends the result there.
- Photocopy your PNMC or PNC registration card and every diploma and degree you hold.
- Submit the set to PNMC, PNMC building, PM National Health Complex, NIH, Chak Shehzad, Islamabad.
The address of the receiving body is the item most often missed. PNMC sends the verification to that body, not to you, so a vague "to whom it may concern" request leaves it with nowhere to send the result.
PNMC holds NMC UK cases until every document arrives
PNMC says the UK's Nursing and Midwifery Council sends it verification requests, but many stay pending because the nurse never completed PNMC's side. It will not proceed with an NMC case until all its requirements are met, and it urges applicants to start early.
In practice that means two separate tracks. The NMC asks PNMC to confirm you. PNMC waits for your own application, fee and documents. If you only complete the NMC portal and do nothing in Islamabad, the request sits. Start PNMC's file the same week you apply to the NMC, and make sure your licence is current first; an expired one needs the PNMC licence renewal at Rs 3,000 before any good standing letter.
The UK route has other Pakistani steps too. A nurse moving on a work visa will usually need the UK TB test at an approved clinic in Pakistan, and English test fees are listed in IELTS fee in Pakistan.

PNMC has a dedicated address for good standing and verification updates only. It says it aims to reply within three working days, and if you hear nothing after three days you may send a reminder. Use it for status checks or to send missing documents.

Check your own record before you pay
Run your CNIC on PNMC's free Track Nursing Professionals page first. If your record does not appear online, sort that out with PNMC before you pay Rs 10,000, so the verification desk is not left searching for a file it cannot see.
The PNMC licence verification by CNIC takes under a minute. If it says "No professional found", fix that first with PNMC on the helpline, then file the good standing request.
