Punjab Inter Second Annual Exam 2026 Starts on 3 November

The Punjab inter second annual exam 2026 starts on Tuesday 3 November 2026. Admission forms at single fee are open from 24 September to 6 October 2026. After that the fee doubles, then triples.

We read the notices on the boards' own websites this evening. Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Sargodha have published signed schedules that name 3 November as the start date. DG Khan and Bahawalpur have opened their online admission portals with the same 6 October single fee deadline. Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan and Sahiwal had not posted their own notice when we checked, at about 18:00 PKT on 25 September.

No board has published the paper-by-paper date sheet yet. The result date of 12 January 2027 is reported, but we could not find it in any board notice.

Punjab boards confirm the inter second annual exam starts on 3 November

Three Punjab boards have notified that the HSSC second annual examination 2026 begins on 3 November 2026. BISE Rawalpindi, BISE Faisalabad and BISE Sargodha each say so in a signed notice. The other boards use the same fee dates on their portals.

HSSC means the Higher Secondary School Certificate, which is inter, or 11th and 12th class. The second annual exam is often called the supplementary exam. It is for students who failed one or more papers in the first annual exam, students who want to improve their marks, and some private candidates.

BISE Rawalpindi's notice is number M.S./63/2026, dated 23 September 2026. It says the exam for Part II and composite candidates starts on 3 November. It cites a Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) decision of 16 January 2026. The PBCC is the forum of all nine board chairmen, and it sets one calendar for every board.

BISE Faisalabad's press release number 06, also dated 23 September, gives the same start date, Tuesday 3 November. It covers Part I, Part II, composite and Uloom-e-Sharqia (Eastern languages) candidates. BISE Sargodha's press note number 23, dated 19 September, says the same.

If you are still waiting to see your first annual marks, checking the HSSC result by roll number comes first. You need the result to know which papers to enter on the form.

Single fee forms close on 6 October 2026

The single fee window runs from 24 September to 6 October 2026. Double fee applies from 7 to 13 October, and triple fee from 14 to 17 October. Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha and DG Khan all publish these same dates.

The late stages are where the boards differ. Rawalpindi adds Rs 200 a day from 18 to 23 October. From 24 October its fine rises to Rs 700 a day, until 2 November. Sargodha charges triple fee plus Rs 500 a day from 18 to 23 October. Faisalabad lists only the three main stages.

The steps to get your form in are short:

1. Open your own board's website and find the HSSC second annual 2026 admission link.
2. Fill the form online and choose only the papers you need to sit.
3. Print the bank challan and pay it at an approved bank before 6 October.
4. Send the printed form with the paid challan to the board by post or by hand, if your board asks for a hard copy.

Fees differ by board, so read your own board's table

Each Punjab board sets its own admission fee. Sargodha charges Rs 2,880 at single fee for a regular science Part II candidate. Faisalabad charges Rs 3,150. Rawalpindi lists a Rs 870 exam fee and adds separate charges on top.

The Rawalpindi figures are not totals. Its notice adds a Rs 1,000 processing fee and a Rs 30 CCTV camera fee for everyone. Part II and composite candidates also pay a Rs 1,000 certificate fee once. Private candidates pay Rs 350 development fund, Rs 250 scholarship fee and Rs 300 postal charges on top.

Arts is a little cheaper everywhere. Faisalabad charges Rs 3,100 for a regular arts Part II candidate and Rs 3,150 for a private one. Sargodha charges Rs 2,830 and Rs 2,880.

Payment rules also differ. Sargodha accepts only its challan at United Bank (UBL) and says payments through 1-Link, JazzCash or Easypaisa will not be accepted. Faisalabad accepts UBL, HBL and MCB. Rawalpindi routes payment through MCB. Faisalabad and Rawalpindi both say the fee is not refunded once paid.

Two more costs catch private candidates. A first-time private candidate pays a Rs 1,000 registration fee at Faisalabad and Rawalpindi, and Rs 3,330 at Sargodha. Faisalabad also waives the Rs 1,200 certificate fee for candidates who failed Part II or composite in any annual exam from 2013 to 2026.

The paper-by-paper date sheet is not published yet

No Punjab board had published the inter second annual 2026 date sheet on 25 September. The notices give only the start date, 3 November. The paper-by-paper list usually follows the admission schedule by a few weeks, on each board's notifications page.

We looked for it on all nine board sites. Rawalpindi's downloads list carries the SSC second annual 2026 date sheet, which is for matric, and no inter one. Faisalabad's list is the same. Lahore's notifications page still shows the 2025 inter second annual date sheet as its latest.

So treat any full date sheet you see on WhatsApp or social media with care until your board posts it. Last year's inter second annual date sheets are still online and are easy to recirculate as new. Check the year and the board name at the top of the document before you plan around it.

Your roll number slip will also carry your centre, and it arrives only after the admission deadline has passed. Matric students are one step ahead on the same calendar: the Punjab matric second annual exam starts on 6 October, and its date sheet is already out.

The 12 January 2027 result date is reported, not notified

A tentative result date of 12 January 2027 has been reported for the inter second annual 2026 exam. None of the board notices we read on 25 September names a result date. Treat 12 January as likely, not confirmed, until a board says it.

The date is plausible. It would put the result about ten weeks after the first paper on 3 November, and the boards have not said anything that contradicts it.

That timing matters for university plans. A mid-January result misses most autumn intakes. If you have already paid fees on a provisional admission, getting a university fee refund after a failed inter paper depends on how soon you ask.

Rechecking still closes before the resit forms do

Rechecking of the first annual result is a separate deadline that runs out soon. BISE Multan allows 15 days from the 23 September result, and BISE Gujranwala allows 20. Rechecking can change which papers you need to sit, so apply first.

Do not wait for the recheck before sending your admission form, though. The recheck may take longer than the single fee window. If it changes nothing, you will have lost the cheaper rate. The steps and fees for applying for HSSC rechecking in Punjab differ by board.

Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan and Sahiwal had not posted their own schedule by our check. The PBCC calendar applies to every Punjab board, so their dates are likely to match. Their fees may not, so wait for your own board's notice before you pay.
