2. Register via PTA DIRBS Portal

If device is Non PTA Approved, follow these steps:

  1. Visit PTA Device Registration System
  2. Sign up using email and create an account
  3. Log in and select “Individual COC” for Certificate of Compliance
  4. Enter device details, including IMEI, brand, and model
  5. Generate a Payment Slip ID (PSID) and pay the required tax via online banking, ATM, or bank branch
  6. After payment, PTA approves the device and sends a confirmation SMS or email to the registered number or email address.

Note: Newly PTA approved devices take up to 24 hours to become fully functional. Wait at least 24 hours before calling PTA Helpline.

3. Register Phone with PTA via Call (USSD Code)

PTA also register Non-PTA devices using mobile phone:

  1. Dial *8484#
  2. Choose language you want to continue (1 for English, 2 for Urdu)
  3. Press 1 to register new device
  4. Follow on screen prompts to successfully register device

Temporary PTA Registration for Overseas Visitors (Free Service)

PTA allows overseas Pakistani or a foreign national visiting Pakistan to temporarily register device for 120 days:

  • Visit PTA Device Registration System
  • Create account and log in
  • Select “Temporary Registration for Overseas Pakistanis/Foreign Nationals”
  • Enter passport number, arrival date, and intended departure date
  • Submit form and receive a confirmation of temporary registration

Note: This temporary registration is free of cost, and there is no limit on how many times a visitor can use this service. Each time a person arrives in Pakistan, they can register their device temporarily.
