How to Renew a Driving Licence in Punjab at an e-Khidmat Markaz: 15 Working Days
Renew a driving licence in Punjab at an e-Khidmat Markaz: bring the expired licence, CNIC and a medical certificate if over 50. HBL fee, 15 working days.

Short answer: You can renew a Punjab driving licence at an e-Khidmat Markaz in person. Bring your valid CNIC, the expired licence and, if you are above 50, disabled or drive commercially, a medical certificate. The fee goes to HBL Bank. Delivery is 15 working days.
A licence that lapses can mean a fine at a check post and trouble with insurance after an accident. Renewal is simple, but the counter will turn you back if a paper is missing.
We read the renewal page of the Punjab e-Khidmat service on 14 October 2026. The page gives no fee figure, and we do not invent one. It does give the papers, the medical rule and the delivery time.
You must renew in person with a valid CNIC and the old licence
The page lists three papers: your valid CNIC, the expired licence and, where it applies, a medical certificate. It also says the licence holder must be present in person. A relative or an agent cannot renew for you.
- Take your original valid CNIC.
- Take the expired driving licence.
- Take a medical certificate if you fall in a listed group.
- Pay the fee through HBL Bank before or as the Markaz directs.
- Go to the Markaz yourself, Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm.

A medical certificate is needed in three cases
The page requires a medical certificate for citizens above 50 years, for disabled drivers and for commercial vehicles. It must be issued by a government registered doctor. Other drivers are not listed as needing one.
| Driver | Medical certificate |
|---|---|
| Above 50 years | Needed |
| Disabled driver | Needed |
| Commercial vehicle driver | Needed |
| Other private drivers | Not listed on the page |

Ask the doctor to write your full name and CNIC number on the certificate. A certificate with a missing name is a common reason for rejection.
The fee is paid through HBL Bank and varies by licence status
The page says the applicant pays the fee through HBL Bank. It says the amount varies from case to case, depending on the licence status. It prints no figure, so ask at the Markaz or the bank branch for the amount.
An expired licence may cost more than one still in date. We did not find the rule on the page, so we do not give a number. Compare with the duplicate fee in our duplicate licence fee guide only as a rough guide.
Always pay through the bank channel the page names and keep the paid challan. Do not pay cash to a person outside the Markaz.
Delivery takes 15 working days
The page says the renewed licence will be delivered in 15 working days. That is three calendar weeks. If your licence has already expired and you must drive, ask the Markaz whether a receipt is accepted in the meantime.
The page does not say a receipt is accepted. We cannot promise it. To follow your licence, read how to check or track a driving licence online in Punjab and Sindh.
Choose the online route if you cannot attend
The e-Khidmat page requires you in person. If you cannot come, the online route may suit you. It has different steps and fees. Read the guide first and compare the time and cost before you choose.
Our guide to renewing a driving licence in Punjab online covers the online route. For someone living abroad, see how overseas Pakistanis renew an expired licence.
After renewal, remember the penalty point rules in Punjab driving licence penalty points. Over 20 points in a year can mean a ban.
Renew before the date and keep the receipt
Do not wait for the expiry date. Start the renewal a month before, because delivery takes 15 working days and the medical certificate needs a doctor visit. Keep the bank challan and the Markaz receipt together.
Check the details on the new licence when it arrives: name, CNIC number, categories and expiry date. A mistake is easier to fix early. If a category is missing, tell the Markaz at once.
If you also drive a rented or company vehicle, keep a photocopy of the renewed licence in the vehicle file. Insurance claims often begin with a check of the licence.
A licence that has lapsed for a long time may need extra steps, or even a fresh test. The page does not say, so ask the Markaz before you travel if yours expired many months ago.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 14 October 2026, Pakistan time. We read the renewal of driving licence page of the Punjab e-Khidmat service on ekhidmat.punjab.gov.pk. We did not visit a Markaz. The page prints no fee, no grace period and no penalty for late renewal, so we state none. Confirm the fee at the bank or the Markaz before you pay.
