How to Check Your Sui Gas Bill Online
We opened both gas portals today. SSGC asks for a 10 digit customer number and SNGPL for a consumer number. Neither asks for 14 digits.

We opened both Sui gas bill portals this morning and read what each form actually asks for. The answer is not what most people are searching for.
SSGC asks for a 10 digit customer number. SNGPL asks for a consumer number and states no length at all. Neither asks for 14 digits.
What each portal actually says
| Company | What the form asks for |
|---|---|
| SSGC, Sui Southern | 10 digit customer number |
| SSGC portal | viewbill.ssgc.com.pk |
| SNGPL, Sui Northern | Consumer number, no length given |
| SNGPL portal | sngpl.com.pk, under Consumer Bill |
| Both | Require a captcha |
SSGC's page puts it in its own words: please enter your 10-digit customer number to pay or download your gas bill. That is quoted from the portal itself, read on 14 August 2026.
SNGPL's Consumer Bill form simply asks for a consumer number next to a captcha image. It does not tell you how long the number should be.
Why so many people search for 14 digits
Tens of thousands of searches every month ask for the SNGPL 14 digit number. It is one of the most common gas bill queries in Pakistan.
We cannot tell you where the 14 came from with certainty. What we can tell you is that it does not appear on either company's own form.
Our advice is the only kind that cannot go out of date. Do not trust a digit count you read anywhere, including here. Take a previous bill, find the number printed on it, and type exactly what is there including any leading zeros. If you copy what is printed, the length takes care of itself.
This is the same discipline we applied in our guide to duplicate bills, which deliberately refuses to quote a length for the electricity companies.
How to check your bill
- Work out who supplies you. Sui Northern covers Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Sui Southern covers Sindh and Balochistan. Your bill says which.
- Find your customer or consumer number on an old bill. It is printed near the top and does not change month to month.
- Go to the company's own site, typing the address rather than clicking a search result.
- Enter the number exactly as printed.
- Complete the captcha, then view or download the bill.
A duplicate bill is free. There is no fee, no application and no counter to visit. If a site asks you to pay to see your own bill, close it.
The captcha tells you something important
Both official portals use a captcha. That is worth pausing on, because of what it means for every other site offering to show you your bill.
A captcha exists for one purpose: to stop software from making automated requests. So no third party website can legitimately pull your gas bill for you. It is technically prevented by design.
Which means any site promising an instant gas bill is doing one of two things. It is sending you on to the utility, in which case it added nothing. Or it is collecting your consumer number, which is a piece of information about you tied to your address.
There are a lot of these sites. Several rank above the utilities themselves, on domains built from the company names with a .pk ending. A .pk domain with SNGPL or Sui Gas in it is not SNGPL. The only names that matter are sngpl.com.pk and ssgc.com.pk.
We found the same pattern when we went looking for NADRA's fees and got four sites giving three different answers.
A notice on SSGC's portal worth acting on
SSGC's bill page currently carries a message that has had almost no coverage.
It says that, as per government and FBR directives, consumers should visit their nearest Billing Zone or Customer Facilitation Centre with their original CNIC to have their CNIC number updated on the gas bill.
We are reporting that as a notice displayed on the portal on 14 August 2026. We did not read an underlying FBR notification, so we are not telling you it is a legal obligation or quoting a deadline. If it applies to you, confirm the requirement and what to bring with SSGC directly rather than acting on our summary.
It is worth knowing about, because a mismatch between your CNIC and a utility account is the kind of thing that surfaces later at the worst moment, usually during a property or tax matter.
If the portal will not load
One thing we noticed while testing. SSGC's bill portal refused our direct request entirely, returning nothing, while loading normally by another route.
We are not telling you it is down, because for us it clearly was not a real outage. But it is a reminder that these portals are not always reachable, and that a failure to load is usually the site rather than you.
If that happens, wait and try again later, try a different network, and do not go hunting for an alternative site that will do it for you. We tested every electricity company's portal for reachability in our DISCO website tests, and intermittent failures were common there too.
For a new connection rather than a bill, the process is in our gas connection guide. If your supply is interrupted, the current Balochistan outage is covered in our piece on the Bolan pipeline damage.
Questions readers are asking
How many digits is the SNGPL consumer number?
SNGPL's own form does not say. Copy the number exactly as printed on a previous bill rather than relying on any length quoted online.
How many digits does SSGC want?
Ten. SSGC's portal states it asks for a 10 digit customer number.
Is the 14 digit number real?
It is not what either company asks for on its own form. Use what is printed on your bill.
Does a duplicate gas bill cost anything?
No. It is free, and it is simply your bill viewed or printed again.
Which company supplies me?
Sui Northern covers Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sui Southern covers Sindh and Balochistan. Your existing bill names the company.
Can another website fetch my bill for me?
Not legitimately. Both official portals use a captcha specifically to prevent automated retrieval.
What is the CNIC notice on the SSGC site?
SSGC's portal asks consumers to visit a Billing Zone or Customer Facilitation Centre with an original CNIC to update the CNIC number on the bill. Confirm the details with SSGC before going.
