Ufone has five postpaid Prime packages, from Prime 1000 at Rs 1,000 a month for 20 GB to Prime Mega at Rs 1,700 for 200 GB, all including tax. For extra data, its four PrimePlay internet add-ons cost Rs 120 for 1.5 GB up to Rs 825 for 13 GB, before tax. Dial *129# free to check what is left.

Prime is Ufone's monthly postpaid line rent: you pay a fixed amount and get minutes, SMS and data for the bill cycle. We read Ufone's Postpay Prime page and its postpaid internet packages page on 5 November 2026. One finding stands out: the most expensive plan is not the one with the most data.

Ufone's five Prime packages, side by side

Ufone's Prime plans cost Rs 1,000, Rs 1,300, Rs 1,600, Rs 1,700 and Rs 2,400 a month, tax included. Four give 7,500 on-net minutes. Prime Mega gives 10,000 on-net minutes, 2,000 off-net minutes and 200 GB for Rs 1,700.

Ufone says on-net minutes cover calls to Ufone, Telenor and PTCL numbers. Off-net minutes are for Jazz, Zong and other networks.

Prime Mega beats Prime 2400 on every count

Prime Mega costs Rs 700 less than Prime 2400 and gives more of everything: 200 GB against 80 GB, 10,000 on-net minutes against 7,500, 2,000 off-net against 1,200, and 10,000 SMS against 7,500. Both prices are on Ufone's own page.

We cannot see a reason on the page to choose Prime 2400. Ufone may keep it for older users or for features its card does not show. Ask on 333 before you pick it.

For light users, Prime 1000 gives 20 GB and 7,500 on-net minutes. If you call other networks often, its 400 off-net minutes may run out first. Prime Max at Rs 1,300 more than doubles that to 1,000. Our cheapest postpaid package comparison sets these against Jazz, Zong and Telenor.

PrimePlay adds data from Rs 120

When the package data runs out, Ufone's PrimePlay add-ons top it up. PrimePlay 120 gives 1.5 GB on *323#, PrimePlay 275 gives 4 GB on *434#, PrimePlay 550 gives 8 GB on *656#, and PrimePlay 825 gives 13 GB on *989#.

Add-onPrice before taxInternetDial
PrimePlay 120Rs 1201.5 GB*323#
PrimePlay 275Rs 2754 GB*434#
PrimePlay 550Rs 5508 GB*656#
PrimePlay 825Rs 82513 GB*989#

Two terms matter. PrimePlay prices are without tax, unlike the Prime plans, so the bill will show more. And Ufone says all postpaid products renew by themselves unless stated otherwise. That means an add-on bought once may come back on next month's bill. Ask 333 to stop it if you only wanted it once.

Look at the gap too. Moving from Prime 1600 to Prime Mega costs Rs 100 more a month and adds 100 GB. Buying PrimePlay 825 every month adds only 13 GB for Rs 825 plus tax. If you keep topping up, a bigger plan is cheaper.

What you pay after the free resources run out

Ufone keeps services on after your free resources end and charges for use. Its Prime page lists Rs 1.90 plus tax a minute, Rs 1.25 plus tax an SMS and Rs 3.00 plus tax per MB. The PrimePlay page lists Rs 1.80 a minute and Rs 1.00 an SMS.

Ufone's two pages disagree on the call and SMS rates. Both agree on Rs 3.00 per MB, which is the one to fear: 1 GB at that rate is over Rs 3,000. Dial *129# often near the end of your cycle. Ufone says it shows remaining free MBs, minutes and SMS, and your bill details, at no charge.

If you join in the middle of a month, Ufone gives free resources and charges line rent for the days left until the next bill date. Free resources refresh at the start of every bill cycle, so unused data does not carry over.

How to get a Prime package

Ufone says Prime packages are activated through the Ufone helpline or a service centre. They are open to new connections, numbers porting in, prepaid users converting to postpaid, and existing users switching from old Prime or legacy plans.

  1. Pick your plan from the table above.
  2. Call 333 from a Ufone number, or visit a PTCL and Ufone joint shop or franchise.
  3. If you are on prepaid now, ask for prepaid to postpaid conversion with the Prime plan.
  4. Pay any security deposit the counter asks for.
  5. Dial *129# after activation to confirm your free resources.

The conversion steps are in our guide to converting Ufone prepaid to postpaid. For smaller call and SMS add-ons, see Ufone postpay call and SMS buckets.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read Ufone's Postpay Prime and postpaid internet packages pages at ufone.com on 5 November 2026. Prime prices include tax; PrimePlay prices do not, as Ufone states. The two pages give different call and SMS overage rates, and we have shown both. The comparisons and savings are our arithmetic from Ufone's figures. We did not subscribe to a plan.
