To check a Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) claim, log in at mis.wwf.gov.pk or in the WWF MIS app with the worker's registered account, open the claim, and read its stage. WWF also sends SMS and email at each stage, and its own target is 15 days from receipt to payment for scholarship, marriage and death grant claims. If a claim is stuck past that, there is a complaint route with a 4 day target.

MIS stands for Management Information System. WWF says it has processed educational, marriage and death grant claims through it since January 2024. We opened the portal and read WWF's claim procedure and service timelines on 1 November 2026. Here is what each stage means and who to call when it stops moving.

WWF MIS is the only route for WWF claims now

WWF's rules say every claim is processed through MIS and no paper approval is accepted. The system runs on the web at mis.wwf.gov.pk, as a Windows program, and as Android and iOS apps for registered workers, companies and panel schools.

The front page lists six services: fee scholarships, educational grants, marriage grants, death grants, Hajj grants, and estate grants, which are houses and flats given by ballot. The worker logs in, sees each claim, and follows it from submission to payment.

One warning before you start. When we opened the site on 1 November 2026, its banner read "Registration Closed". WWF did not explain whether new worker sign-ups are paused. Workers already registered can still use the login page. A worker who has never registered should phone WWF before visiting an office.

Checking a claim takes five steps

You need the worker's own MIS login, which is tied to the worker's CNIC. A claim cannot be checked by a stranger with just a CNIC number, which is a sensible privacy rule. Keep the phone number on the account active, because updates come by SMS.

  1. Open mis.wwf.gov.pk and choose Open in Browser, or open the WWF MIS app.
  2. Log in with the worker's registered account.
  3. Open the claim: scholarship, marriage grant or death grant.
  4. Read the current stage and any note about missing papers.
  5. Upload the missing document if asked, then check again after two working days.

WWF's claim procedure says the worker "will be informed through SMS/Email in case of any discrepancy of claim and status of the approval of claim at different stages." So an SMS about a discrepancy is not a rejection. It is a request to fix something.

WWF's own timeline is 15 days from receipt to payment

WWF publishes a service delivery timeline. For scholarships, and separately for marriage and death grants, the stages add up to 15 days. Each stage has a named officer, so a stuck claim can be traced to one desk.

Scrutiny committee recommendation3Deputy Director (Education)
Check with NADRA, EOBI and employer2Deputy Director (IT)

The PDF's table is laid out unevenly, so these per-stage days are our reading of it. The 15 day total is stated plainly for both claim types. Marriage and death grants follow the same stages, handled by WWF's Other Welfare (OW) section instead of Education.

Verification with NADRA and EOBI is where most claims wait

Between scrutiny and approval, WWF checks the worker's details with NADRA, EOBI and the employer. A name spelt differently, an EOBI record that does not show the worker, or an employer that has not paid its WWF contribution will hold the claim here.

So check your own records first. The EOBI registration check by CNIC shows whether the employer has registered you. If you are not on EOBI's books, ask the employer to fix it before you chase WWF. No amount of phoning WWF will move a claim that the EOBI check keeps failing.

The employer must also be paying into WWF, either 2% under the WWF Ordinance or 5% under the Companies Profits (Workers' Participation) Act. WWF's checklists ask for that contribution receipt with every scholarship claim.

A stuck claim goes to WWF first, then to the Citizen Portal

Call WWF on 051-9106325 or 051-9106326 and ask for the section handling your claim type. If nothing moves, a complaint on the Pakistan Citizen Portal reaches WWF, and its published target for those complaints is 4 days.

  • WWF switchboard: 051-9106325 and 051-9106326
  • Director (Education): 051-9106322, or extension 145
  • Director (IT), for login and app problems: extension 209, or it@wwf.gov.pk
  • Public Information Officer, Director (Receipt): extension 301
  • Office: Building No. 2, Street 39, G-10/4, Islamabad

WWF's timeline lists Prime Minister's Performance Delivery Unit complaints, the office behind the Citizen Portal, as a separate service with a 4 day disposal target. The steps for that route are in the Pakistan Citizen Portal complaint guide.

WWF Islamabad phone numbers for claim problems

The MIS has handled thousands of claims, but provinces have their own boards

WWF's figures for Islamabad show 4,244 education claims worth Rs 228.45 million, 505 marriage grants worth Rs 136.20 million and 32 death grants worth Rs 23.20 million through the system. Workers in a province usually deal with their provincial Workers Welfare Board.

The MIS front page shows larger totals: 47,246 scholarships, 1,573 marriage grants and 107 death grants. Those appear to include the provincial boards. The rules for the two grants themselves, including the two year limit on a death grant claim, are in the WWF death and marriage grant requirements. The rates for children's education are in the WWF scholarship breakdown.

Common questions

Can I check a WWF claim with only a CNIC number?

Not on a public page. The claim is visible inside the worker's own MIS account, which is registered against the worker's CNIC.

How long does a WWF marriage grant take?

WWF's published timeline for marriage and death grants is 15 days from receipt to payment.

Is there a WWF MIS app?

Yes. WWF says the MIS is available as Android and iOS apps, a Windows program and in the browser, for registered users.

Why does the MIS say Registration Closed?

WWF has not explained it. We saw the banner on 1 November 2026. Call 051-9106325 to ask whether new worker registration is open.

Who do I call if the app will not log in?

WWF's IT directorate, on extension 209 through 051-9106325, or by email at it@wwf.gov.pk.

Where do I complain if WWF does not answer?

Lodge a complaint on the Pakistan Citizen Portal. WWF's own target for those complaints is 4 days.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 1 November 2026. We opened mis.wwf.gov.pk, which showed a "Registration Closed" banner, its six services, app links and totals. On wwf.gov.pk we read the procedure for claims through MIS, the welfare database page, the WWF Islamabad contact page and the public service delivery timelines PDF. The per-stage days are our reading of an unevenly laid out table; the 15 day and 4 day totals are stated. We did not log in or submit a claim, and could not confirm what the registration banner covers.
