YouTube Premium Price in Pakistan 2026: PKR 479, Lite PKR 299

YouTube Premium costs PKR 479 a month for Individual, PKR 899 for Family and PKR 329 for Student in Pakistan. Premium Lite costs PKR 299. We read these prices on YouTube's Premium page for Pakistan on 28 September 2026. Each plan starts with a one-month free trial for eligible new members.

The YouTube Premium price in Pakistan is shown in rupees and billed monthly. When YouTube bills you directly, Google's help page says it takes only Mastercard and Visa cards, and the card must be issued in Pakistan. JazzCash and Easypaisa are not on that list.

We read YouTube's Premium page with Pakistan as the country, and Google's YouTube Help pages on Premium Lite, accepted payment methods for Pakistan and cancelling. We did not subscribe, so we have not seen a Pakistani YouTube invoice.

YouTube Premium plan prices in Pakistan for 2026

YouTube lists four paid options for Pakistan. Premium Lite is PKR 299 a month, Premium Individual is PKR 479, Premium Family is PKR 899 and Premium Student is PKR 329. All four show a one-month trial at PKR 0 for eligible new members.

The Pakistan page we read showed no annual plan. Google's help pages mention annual plans in general, but none appeared for Pakistan on 28 September 2026.

What YouTube Premium includes, and what Premium Lite leaves out

Full Premium gives ad-free YouTube, background play, downloads and YouTube Music Premium. Premium Lite removes ads from most videos and allows background play and downloads for most videos. It does not include YouTube Music Premium, and ads can still appear on music, Shorts, search and browsing.

Google counts more than you might think as "music". Its help page lists official music videos, art tracks, children's songs, and user videos that use songs, such as covers, dance clips or a vlog with a popular track in the background. On those, Lite users can still see ads.

So who should pick Lite? Someone who watches news, cricket highlights, cooking or tech reviews, and listens to music somewhere else. If you play songs on YouTube every day, the extra PKR 180 for full Premium buys ad-free music and YouTube Music on top.

When we first wrote about Premium Lite in March 2025, it did not include background play. Google's help page now lists background play and downloads for most videos.

YouTube Premium Family and Student rules

Family lets the manager add up to five family members aged 13 or over who live in the same household. Student is for eligible students only and must be verified again every year. Both start with a one-month free trial for eligible new members.

• Family, PKR 899: six people in total, including you. Split six ways, it is about PKR 150 each, cheaper than one Lite plan.
• Student, PKR 329: PKR 150 less than Individual, with the full Premium features. The yearly check means you lose the discount after you stop studying.

Two Individual plans cost PKR 958. For two adults at one address, Family at PKR 899 is already cheaper and leaves four more places free.

How to pay for YouTube Premium from Pakistan

If YouTube bills you directly, Google lists Mastercard and Visa for Pakistan, and says the card must be issued in Pakistan. If you join through the Android app, Google Play may bill you. On an iPhone, Apple may bill you. Each has its own payment options.

1. Open youtube.com/premium on a browser, or youtube.com/premiumlite for Lite.
2. Choose Individual, Family, Student or Lite and start the free month.
3. Add a Pakistan-issued Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card.
4. Switch on online and international use for the card in your bank app if it is declined.
5. Add a backup payment method so the plan does not lapse if the first card fails.

Signing up inside the Android app is different, because Google Play handles the payment. The ways of paying on Google Play in Pakistan include Jazz billing for some users, which YouTube's direct checkout does not list. We did not test a Premium sign-up through Play.

Whether YouTube Premium prices include tax

The YouTube Premium page for Pakistan shows only the rupee price, with no tax note. We found no Pakistan-specific tax statement for YouTube Premium on Google's help pages. Your bank may add FBR's advance tax on card payments abroad.

FBR's withholding tax rate card for 2026-27 lists advance tax under section 236Y on amounts "remitted abroad through credit, debit or prepaid cards". It is 0.5% for people on the Active Taxpayers List and 1% for others. On PKR 479, 1% is under PKR 5. Whether your bank applies it to a rupee-priced YouTube charge is the bank's call.

How to cancel YouTube Premium in Pakistan

Go to youtube.com/paid_memberships, click Manage membership, then Deactivate. Click Continue to cancel, choose a reason, click Next, then Yes, cancel. If Google Play or Apple bills you, cancel in their subscription settings instead.

Google also lets you pause a paid membership instead of cancelling it. That suits someone going away for a month or two who wants to keep their settings.
