How to Reactivate an Expired SIM in Pakistan

If the number has not been issued to someone else, you can get it back. Here is how:

Visit Network Provider Service Center

  1. Bring original CNIC
  2. Take expired SIM (if available)
  3. Go to the nearest franchise/service center (not retailer)
  4. Request SIM reactivation
  5. Go through biometric verification

If successful, they will issue a new SIM card with the same number. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes. A small reissue fee may also apply depending on the network provider.

How Long Before a SIM Expires in Pakistan?

All major networks providers in Pakistan deactivate SIMs after 180 days (6 months) of inactivity:
