ChatGPT Plans Compared in Pakistan: Free, Go, Plus and Pro
Compare ChatGPT Free, Go, Plus and Pro in Pakistan: Plus is $20 a month, Pro starts at $100. See thinking levels, limits and who each plan suits. Read now.

ChatGPT Plus costs US$20 a month, about Rs 5,540 at today's State Bank rate, and Pro costs $100, $200 or $500 a month. Free and Go give unlimited everyday text chats. Only paid plans reach GPT-6 Sol in Chat, and Pro adds GPT-6 Pro.
We read OpenAI's help centre and pricing pages on 22 October 2026 to build this comparison for readers in Pakistan. Prices are in US dollars. The rupee figures use the State Bank of Pakistan's 22 October rate of about Rs 277 to the dollar, so treat them as a guide. Your bank's rate and any tax will change the final bill.
One gap first. We could not read the price of ChatGPT Go on a page that loaded, so we do not print one. OpenAI says Go prices sit on its pricing page and are billed in US dollars unless local billing exists in your country.
ChatGPT has four personal plans, and three of them are paid
The personal plans are Free, Go, Plus and Pro. Pro itself has three tiers. Business and Enterprise are workspace plans for teams. The table below keeps only what OpenAI's own pages state, so a blank price means we could not read one.
| Plan | Monthly price (USD) | Thinking levels in Chat | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Instant and Think, on GPT-5.6 Luna | Light everyday use |
| Go | Not read | Instant and Think, on GPT-5.6 Luna | Heavier files and images |
| Plus | $20 | Instant, Medium, High | Students and freelancers |
| Pro 100 | $100 | All, including Extra High and Pro | Daily heavy users |
| Pro 200 | $200 | All, with a larger allowance | Long coding and research |
| Pro 500 | $500 | All, plus Ultrafast in Work and Codex | Developers who need speed |

The thinking levels come from OpenAI's GPT-6 help page. The full detail of what each level means is in the breakdown of GPT-6 thinking levels by plan.
Free and Go give unlimited everyday text chats, with safeguards
OpenAI says Free and Go users have unlimited everyday text chats, subject to abuse-prevention safeguards. File uploads, image generation, voice and data analysis have separate limits. Go raises those limits. Neither plan includes GPT-5.6 Sol.
For a student who writes essays and asks questions, that is often enough. The free plan with Intelligent UI already shows tables and small tools inside answers. Our comparison of free ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude plans shows where free tiers run out.
Go lists extended image generation, file uploads and data analysis, longer memory, projects, tasks and custom GPTs. It is available in every country where ChatGPT is supported, and Pakistan is on that list. OpenAI also says it may test ads in Go in future.
Plus at $20 is the sensible paid step for most people
OpenAI describes Plus as $20 a month, billed monthly, with higher model limits, advanced reasoning, faster replies, voice, image generation, file uploads and Deep Research where available. There is no annual option. Plus does not include API use.
Plus gets Medium and High thinking in Chat, but not Extra High or Pro. It also includes GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Luna in Work and Codex, the agent and coding tools, with estimated message ranges. Those ranges are explained in the usage limits per plan.
At about Rs 5,540, Plus is roughly the cost of a month of a mid-range internet package in many homes. Whether it pays back depends on use. A freelancer who drafts proposals and fixes spreadsheets daily will likely recover it in one job.
Pro costs $100, $200 or $500 and is built for heavy daily work
Pro includes Pro models, Codex, deep research, image creation, memory and file uploads. It has three monthly tiers. Pro 500 is the only one with Ultrafast. Billing is monthly only, with no annual or multi-month payment.
Pro 100 and Pro 200 get GPT-6 Pro in Chat, which has usage limits and is not unlimited. The pick between the three is covered in which Pro tier to choose. At today's rate the tiers are roughly Rs 27,700, Rs 55,400 and Rs 138,500 a month before any tax.

Choose by what you do, not by the plan name
A student or casual user should start on Free. A freelancer or office worker doing daily drafting, spreadsheets and research should try Plus. A software house or a developer running long agent tasks should look at Pro or a Business seat.
- Use the free plan for a week and note when you hit a limit.
- If limits stop real work, upgrade to Plus for one month.
- Check the usage page in settings after two weeks.
- Move to Pro only if Plus runs out before the week ends.
- Cancel before the renewal date if you do not use it.

Paying from Pakistan needs a card that allows international online payments. The tax your bank may deduct is explained in card payments abroad and section 236Y. For teams, see the ChatGPT Business seats and limits.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 22 October 2026. We read OpenAI's ChatGPT Plus page, its Pro tiers page, its Go page, its multi-currency billing page and its GPT-6 models page on that date. The rupee figures use the State Bank of Pakistan's 22 October 2026 weighted average offer rate of 277.0018 and are our arithmetic. We could not read Go's price, so none is printed. We did not buy any plan.
