Ehsaas Labour NADRA Portal Is Closed: Where Daily-Wage Workers Register in 2026

The Ehsaas Labour portal on NADRA, ehsaaslabour.nadra.gov.pk, no longer exists. We tested it on 27 September 2026 and the address did not resolve at all. A daily-wage worker who wants help today has four live routes: BISP's registry desk and the 8171 service, provincial social security, EOBI, and in Punjab the domestic worker form.

The search "ehsaas labour nadra gov pk" still brings up many pages that tell you to open that address, enter your CNIC and wait for money. Those pages are out of date. There is no form behind the address any more, and no other government website has taken over the Ehsaas Labour name.

We tested the old addresses ourselves and read the live official websites that replaced them: bisp.gov.pk, pessi.punjab.gov.pk, sessi.gov.pk and eobi.gov.pk. What each one offers a daily-wage worker is set out below, with what we could not confirm.

The Ehsaas Labour portal is closed

ehsaaslabour.nadra.gov.pk did not resolve on 27 September 2026, through our own connection or Google's public DNS. That means no server stands behind the name. We found no notice of a replacement portal on NADRA's or BISP's websites.

The Ehsaas Labour portal was built in 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, for daily-wage workers who had lost work. It sat under the Ehsaas umbrella. When the Ehsaas brand was folded back into BISP in 2022, its NADRA addresses were not carried over. We tested 20 of those old Ehsaas and 8171 links on 17 September 2026, and the result has not changed.

Be careful with any page that still offers "Ehsaas Labour registration" with a monthly payment figure. We found no BISP or ministry page for such a payment in 2026.

BISP registration is the main route for low-income households

A daily-wage worker on a low, irregular income can ask BISP to add the household to its registry. BISP does this in person at a Benazir registration centre in your tehsil, not on a website. You can check your status by SMS to 8171 or on 8171.bisp.gov.pk.

The registry is called the National Socio-Economic Registry, or NSER. It is a record of households and their living conditions. BISP uses it to decide who gets its cash and other programmes. You do not apply for a "labour" scheme. You register the household, and BISP decides eligibility from the survey.

1. Send your CNIC number by SMS to 8171, or enter it on 8171.bisp.gov.pk, to see if your household is already listed.
2. If it is not, go to the Benazir registration centre in your tehsil. BISP's website lists the centres and its mobile registration vans.
3. Take your original CNIC, the CNICs of adults in your household, and B-Forms for your children.
4. Take a token at the counter and answer the survey questions about your household.
5. Wait for the confirmation SMS from 8171, then check again later for your result.

BISP lists no fee for registration, so nobody at the desk should ask for money. Once your household is in the registry, the 8171 eligibility check and payment both run on the same CNIC. BISP's helpline is 0800-26477, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, as its website states.

Provincial social security covers workers with an employer

If you work for a factory, shop, contractor or other employer, you can be covered by your province's social security institution. In Punjab that is PESSI, and in Sindh it is SESSI. Your employer registers you, and registered workers get medical care and some cash help.

In Punjab, PESSI calls these people "secured workers". Its website says the Maryam Nawaz Ration Card gives 3,000 rupees a month to 1.25 million secured workers. PESSI also reported paying 10,000 rupees to registered workers in Ramadan 2026. Both depend on being registered first. The PESSI social security card is the proof, and it comes through the employer.

In Sindh, SESSI lists "Registration of Employers and Employees" as a service. Its toll-free number is 0800-33772 and its UAN is 021-111-173-774. We could not read any registration steps on its page, because the page body was empty when we opened it.

Two more points. Punjab's workers welfare fund, PWWF, gives marriage grants, death grants, talent scholarships and school places to industrial workers. And your pay should never be below the provincial minimum wage, such as Sindh's minimum wage of Rs 43,000.

Domestic workers in Punjab can register themselves

A domestic worker in Punjab, such as a cook, cleaner, driver or guard in a private home, has a registration form of their own. PESSI publishes it under section 20 of the Punjab Domestic Workers Act 2019, in English and Urdu, and the worker signs it.

The form, called Annex-A, asks for:

• your name, father's name, date of birth, phone number, CNIC and address;
• whether you work piece-rate, part-time or full-time, and your hours if part-time;
• your employer's name, address, phone number and CNIC;
• your wage and whether it is paid in cash or another way.

You need your employer's CNIC, so this works best with an employer who agrees. Take the completed form to your nearest PESSI office and ask for a registration number. PESSI's helpline is 0800-73774.

EOBI lets a worker register directly

EOBI is the federal pension fund for private-sector workers. The employer must register the business within 30 days, but section 11 of the EOB Act 1976 also says every insured person may send their own details to EOBI. That gets you a registration card and starts your pension record.

This matters for daily-wage workers, because a record that starts late is money lost later. EOBI pays an old-age pension after 15 years of contributions, and a one-time grant for between 2 and 15 years. The EOBI pension claim rules, including the six-month limit on back payments, are worth knowing before you retire.

EOBI's free helpline is 08000-3624 (08000 EOBI), from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Its website publishes the registration form, PR-01, and lists registered employers by region, so you can see if your employer is on it.

What we could not confirm

Several schemes are named on many websites but are not on any official page we could read. Treat them as unconfirmed until a government site lists them.

• Punjab Mazdoor Card online registration. The address shared for it, mazdoorcard.punjab.gov.pk, does not exist. PESSI's website lists the Maryam Nawaz Ration Card for registered workers, not an open online form.
• Sindh Benazir Mazdoor Card. It has been reported, but SESSI's homepage does not mention it, and the Sindh labour addresses we tried did not load.
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. We found no worker self-registration page. The KP labour address sends you to the general provincial portal.

If a page asks you to pay a fee to register for any of these, stop. None of the official pages we read lists a registration fee.

No. On 27 September 2026 the address did not exist, even through Google's public DNS. There is no form to fill in.
