How to Get a Fard of Your Land in Islamabad on PAK App
Apply for an Islamabad land Fard on PAK App or at a facilitation desk. See the steps, what NITB says is live, what is missing and who to call before you pay.

Short answer: You can apply for a Fard, the official land ownership record, for Islamabad land through the PAK App or at a Citizen Facilitation Desk. The National IT Board (NITB) says the service runs around the clock, checks your CNIC with NADRA and lets you track the application. No fee for the Fard is published on the NITB pages.
A buyer in Islamabad used to visit the patwari office, wait, and come back. NITB says that routine is now replaced by an application on a phone. The catch is that not every piece of land is on the system yet, and the official pages do not list the fee.
We opened the NITB news pages on the Islamabad land record service on 12 October 2026. They carry no date, so we cannot say when each notice went up. We did not sign in to PAK App, because that needs a real Pak ID and a real CNIC.
What the Islamabad Fard service is and who runs it
NITB and the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA) run it together. NITB built the system. The Fard is the same record the patwari office issued before, now produced from a digital register and checked against your NADRA identity.
A Fard is a certified extract of the land register. It shows who owns a piece of land, how big it is and which numbers identify it. Banks, courts and housing authorities ask for it before they accept a sale, a loan or a transfer.

How to apply for a Fard in Islamabad on PAK App
Install PAK App, sign in with your Pak ID, open the ICT services section and pick the Fard service. Fill in your land details, confirm your identity with the OTP, then follow the application until it is issued. NITB does not publish the exact screen names.
- Install PAK App from the official store listing. Check that the publisher is the National IT Board.
- Sign in with your Pak ID. Our guide on CDA and MCI services on PAK App shows the sign-in and the store listing IDs.
- Open the ICT services section and choose the land record, or Fard, service.
- Enter the details of your land. Keep your CNIC and any old sale deed or allotment paper at hand.
- Confirm the OTP sent to your registered mobile number, and complete any biometric step the app asks for.
- Watch the status screen. NITB says you can see the progress at every stage.

Where else you can apply: Citizen Facilitation Desks
NITB says the service also runs through local Citizen Facilitation Desks. If the app will not accept your land, or you are not comfortable with a phone, a desk is the second route. NITB names the Revenue Facilitation Centre in Sector G-11/4 for registration work.
The NITB pages do not list every desk or its hours. Call NITB on 051-9265061 or 051-9265376 on a weekday between 9 am and 5 pm, or write to info@nitb.gov.pk, before you travel.
What is on the Islamabad digital record and what is not
NITB says a digital Fard carries the Khewat, Khatooni and Khasra numbers, and that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has mapped 2,996 Khasras. A press report puts the digital system as live in 24 of 112 land areas. We could not confirm that number on an official page.
That gap matters. If your land sits in an area that is not yet digitised, the app may not find it. Do not assume a failed search means the land is not yours. It may only mean the area is not loaded.
Our guide on getting a Fard in Punjab is for Punjab land. It does not apply to Islamabad plots, which have their own system. If you hold a CDA plot rather than village land, the route is different, and checking a CDA plot's dues comes first.
Check the Fard before you pay anyone
A Fard proves what the register says today. It does not prove that the seller can hand over possession. Compare the owner's name, the area and the numbers with the seller's papers, and visit the plot. NITB says the digital check is meant to stop impersonation and fraud.
Our wider guide on verifying land records before you pay lists the other checks. For a CDA plot, the transfer papers are covered in transferring a CDA plot or house.
Never hand your OTP to an agent. The OTP is your own proof that the request is yours. An agent who asks for it is asking to act as you.
Common questions
Is a PAK App Fard accepted by banks and courts?
NITB describes it as the official Fard issued by the ICT administration, but we found no notice on how banks or courts treat the digital copy. Ask the bank or court office that will receive it before you rely on it.
How much does an Islamabad Fard cost?
The NITB pages we read state no fee. We will not guess. The app should show any charge before you submit, so read that screen and do not pay an agent a "service" amount.
Can I apply for a Fard without a smartphone?
Yes. NITB says Citizen Facilitation Desks offer the same service. Take your original CNIC and the land details with you.
What if my land does not show up in the app?
It may be in an area not yet digitised. Call NITB on 051-9265061 or 051-9265376, or visit a facilitation desk, and ask whether your land area is loaded.
Does this work for Punjab or Sindh land?
No. This service is for Islamabad Capital Territory land only. Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan each run their own land record systems.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the NITB news pages on the Islamabad land record and property services on 12 October 2026, at nitb.gov.pk. They are undated. The NITB figures on applications, Fards and registered cases came from the page on real estate administration. The count of digitised land areas came from press reports and is marked as reported. We did not read a fee schedule, so this guide states no fee. Screens and steps in the app may change.
