Below you will find the rate in tola, 10 grams and 1 gram, the 22 karat rate, our estimates for 21 and 18 karat, every daily rate we could confirm since 31 October, and what a buyer pays for common weights. The rates are reported, not read at the source. The sarafa association that sets them has no website we could find, and we explain how we checked them in the last section.
Gold is Rs 435,636 a tola on 5 November 2026, up Rs 9,600
The 24 karat rate rose Rs 9,600 to Rs 435,636 a tola on Thursday, and 10 grams rose Rs 8,230 to Rs 373,487. Ten grams of 22 karat gold rose Rs 7,544 to Rs 342,375. All three were reported as association rates.
| Unit | Rate, 5 November 2026 | Change in the day |
|---|---|---|
| 24 karat, 1 tola | Rs 435,636 | Rs 9,600 higher |
| 24 karat, 10 grams | Rs 373,487 | Rs 8,230 higher |
| 24 karat, 1 gram | Rs 37,348.70 | Rs 823 higher |
| 22 karat, 10 grams | Rs 342,375 | Rs 7,544 higher |
The gram figure is our own division of the 10 gram rate. The two reported 24 karat figures also show which tola the market uses: Rs 435,636 divided by Rs 37,348.70 gives 11.664 grams to a tola. The reasons gold rates differ between sources come down mostly to this tola figure and to rounding.

Gold gained Rs 23,500 a tola in two days
Gold rose Rs 13,900 on Wednesday 4 November to Rs 426,036 a tola, then Rs 9,600 on Thursday to Rs 435,636. Together that is Rs 23,500 in two trading days, after the rate had stayed flat at Rs 412,136 on Tuesday.
The world price explains most of it. The international gold price was reported at $4,131 an ounce on Thursday, up $96 from $4,035. On Monday 2 November it was $3,896. That is a rise of $235 an ounce in three days, about 6 per cent. Pakistan's rate follows that dollar price, converted at the rupee rate.
Silver rose too. It was reported at Rs 5,763 a tola on Thursday, up Rs 100, and Rs 4,940 for 10 grams. On Wednesday it had risen Rs 295 to Rs 5,663. The silver value in tola and purity works the same way as gold.

Every gold rate we could confirm since 24 October
We confirmed five daily rates since our last page: 31 October and 2 to 5 November. Gold fell to about Rs 409,736 on 31 October, then climbed back. The daily rates from 26 to 30 October are not covered here.
| Date | 24 karat per tola | Daily change |
|---|---|---|
| Saturday 24 October | Rs 422,036 | Rs 2,500 lower |
| 26 to 30 October | Not covered | Not covered |
| Saturday 31 October | Rs 409,736 | Rs 10,800 lower |
| Monday 2 November | Rs 412,136 | Rs 2,400 higher |
| Tuesday 3 November | Rs 412,136 | No change |
| Wednesday 4 November | Rs 426,036 | Rs 13,900 higher |
| Thursday 5 November | Rs 435,636 | Rs 9,600 higher |
The 31 October figure is our own arithmetic. It was reported only as a Rs 10,800 fall, and we worked it back from the Monday rate and its Rs 2,400 rise. Against 24 October, a tola is now Rs 13,600 dearer. Against the 31 October low, it is Rs 25,900 dearer. It is still Rs 6,400 below the October high of Rs 442,036 on 10 October, which is on our gold rate for 24 October page with every October rate.
22 karat gold is Rs 342,375 for 10 grams
The reported 22 karat rate is Rs 342,375 for 10 grams, which works out to about Rs 399,300 a tola. Our estimates for 21 and 18 karat are Rs 381,182 and Rs 326,727 a tola, based on the share of pure gold.
The 22 karat figure matches the purity share closely. Rs 342,375 is 22 out of 24 parts of the 24 karat 10 gram rate, to within a few rupees. On Wednesday, the association's 22 karat tola rate was reported at Rs 390,533, which is exactly 22 out of 24 parts of Rs 426,036. A Thursday karat sheet in tola was not published by the time we checked, so the 21 and 18 karat figures below are our own estimates.
| Purity | Share of pure gold | Per tola, 5 November |
|---|---|---|
| 24 karat | 24 out of 24 | Rs 435,636 (reported rate) |
| 22 karat | 22 out of 24 | Rs 399,333 (our estimate) |
| 21 karat | 21 out of 24 | Rs 381,182 (our estimate) |
| 18 karat | 18 out of 24 | Rs 326,727 (our estimate) |

What a buyer pays for common weights today
At Rs 435,636 a tola, half a tola of 24 karat gold costs Rs 217,818 and a 5 gram piece costs Rs 186,744 before making charges. Jewellery adds a making charge and, at a registered shop, sales tax.
- Find the weight in tola or grams on the jeweller's scale.
- Multiply by the rate for the right karat, not the 24 karat rate.
- Add the making charge the shop quotes, per tola or per piece.
- Add sales tax if the shop charges it on its invoice.
- Ask for a written receipt that shows weight, karat and rate.
The full method, with a worked example, is in calculating the price of gold jewellery. The tax side is in tax on buying gold, and the Federal Board of Revenue publishes the Sales Tax Act that sets it. If you pay zakat on gold you hold, a move like this changes your sum, and zakat on gold and silver shows how.
One plain point. A Rs 23,500 rise in two days follows a Rs 10,800 fall in one day a week earlier. Gold is moving fast in both directions. Nobody can tell you the next move, and we will not guess.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 5 November 2026 at about 23:00 PKT. The 24 karat tola and 10 gram rates, the 22 karat 10 gram rate, the daily changes, silver and the international price are reported figures. We read them on 5 November 2026 in published market reports that cite the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, because the association has no website we could find. Two separate reports gave the same Thursday figures. The 24 October rate is from our own earlier page. The gram rate, the 31 October rate, the karat estimates, the changes over several days and the weight costs are our own arithmetic. We did not cover the daily rates from 26 to 30 October, and we could not open the State Bank of Pakistan's rupee revaluation sheets for November.
