How to get a Ufone duplicate SIM in Pakistan

Losing a SIM is not really about losing a phone number. It is about losing the thing your bank, your wallet app and half your online accounts use to prove you are you.

Getting a replacement from Ufone is straightforward. Ufone's own price list puts a change of SIM at Rs 300. Blocking the lost one takes one phone call to Ufone's helpline, and it is the part people leave until last.

Update (7 November 2026): we checked this guide against Ufone's own pages. Ufone gives no *333# block code, so the blocking steps below now use the helpline, and the fee is now the Rs 300 on Ufone's price list.

Call Ufone's 333 helpline to block a lost Ufone SIM

Block it before you do anything else

Call Ufone's helpline and ask the agent to block your lost SIM. Ufone's support page lists these numbers:

  • 333 from any other Ufone number, for example a family member's phone.
  • 033-11-333-100 from any network. Ufone lists this as its UAN and WhatsApp number.
  • 051-111-333-100 from any other phone, as given on Ufone's FAQ page.

Keep your CNIC number ready. The agent will ask questions to confirm the SIM is yours.

Do this first. Not after you have looked for it again, not after you have got to the franchise. The replacement can wait an hour. The time in which somebody else can use your number cannot.

Ufone does not list a USSD code to block a SIM, so do not waste time dialling one. Our guide to every Ufone helpline number lists the other contact routes, and our guide to blocking a lost SIM on any network covers Jazz, Zong and Telenor too.

Why the delay is the dangerous part

Every version of this guide we have published told people to block a lost SIM immediately without saying why, so here is the reason.

Your number is a password reset route. Whoever holds that SIM can receive the one time codes that let them into a bank account, a JazzCash or Easypaisa wallet, an email account, and anything else that texts you a code. They do not need your PIN, because the code is the recovery route designed to work when you have forgotten the PIN.

That is why a lost SIM is a security problem rather than an inconvenience, and why the few minutes on the phone to Ufone matter more than everything else on this page.

If money moves before you block it, our guides on recovering a blocked wallet account and resetting an MPIN cover the immediate steps, and the bank's helpline is a faster call than the telco's.

Getting the replacement at a franchise

The four steps to replace a lost Ufone SIM in the right order

This is the route that finishes the job in one visit.

  1. Go to a Ufone franchise or customer service centre. Not a shop selling scratch cards, a franchise. Our list of Ufone franchises by city helps you find the nearest one.
  2. Bring the registered owner and their original CNIC. If the SIM is in someone else's name, that person has to come. Ufone's SIM page says the physical presence of the CNIC holder is mandatory for SIM activation. It is the most common reason people make the trip twice.
  3. Complete biometric verification. Your fingerprints are checked against the registration record.
  4. Pay the Rs 300 fee and collect the SIM. It is usually active soon after verification.

VerificationBiometric, and it cannot be waived
Change of SIM feeRs 300 per SIM, on Ufone's price list

On the fee: Ufone's "Buy SIM" page lists "Change of SIM PKR 300/SIM". We read it on 7 November 2026. Prices can change, so confirm the amount at the counter before you pay.

If your fingerprints will not read

Biometric verification failing is common enough to plan for, particularly for people who work with their hands and for older applicants. It is not a dead end any more.

NADRA issues facial recognition based verification certificates for this situation at its registration centres. The fee has been given as Rs 20 and the certificate as valid for seven days. We could not confirm these two figures on NADRA's own website on 7 November 2026, so confirm them at the NADRA centre. Our guide to NADRA facial and iris verification covers how to get one. Collect it last, once you know when you are going to the franchise, because seven days goes quickly.

Order a replacement SIM online, with home delivery

Ufone runs an online "SIM Change Request" form in its self care section. You enter your mobile number, your name, CNIC, mother's name, place of birth, a delivery address with a landmark, and an email address.

Ufone's form says SIM delivery is available in 17 cities: Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Abbottabad, Chakwal, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hyderabad, Jhelum, Nowshera, Sargodha and Sialkot. Delivery charges are Rs 200.

The form does not say whether the Rs 200 is on top of the Rs 300 SIM change fee, or how fingerprints are checked on delivery. Ownership checks are a legal requirement, so expect a biometric check when the SIM arrives. Ask the helpline on 333 before you order if you need certainty on the total.

If you live outside those 17 cities, the franchise is the only route.

Before you leave the franchise, check your CNIC

While you are dealing with SIMs anyway, this is the right moment to find out how many are registered against your identity card.

Pakistan allows a limited number of SIMs per CNIC, and people often discover connections they never allowed, sometimes issued by a shop during an earlier biometric verification. Our guides cover checking which SIMs are on your CNIC and reporting one you did not authorise.

It takes a minute and it is the same kind of problem as the one that brought you here: a number in your name, in somebody else's hand.

Questions readers are asking

How do I block a lost Ufone SIM?

Call 333 from another Ufone number, or 033-11-333-100 or 051-111-333-100 from any other phone, and ask the agent to block it. Ufone does not list a dial code for blocking. Do this before arranging a replacement.

Rs 300 per SIM, according to the "Change of SIM" line on Ufone's own price list. Home delivery through Ufone's online form has a Rs 200 delivery charge.

How long does it take to activate?

Usually soon after biometric verification is completed, so you can normally walk out using your number again.

Can I order a duplicate Ufone SIM online?

Yes, in 17 cities. Ufone's online SIM Change Request form delivers the SIM to your address for a Rs 200 delivery charge. Elsewhere, visit a franchise.

What if my fingerprints will not verify?

Get a NADRA facial recognition verification certificate from a NADRA registration centre. The fee has been given as Rs 20, valid for seven days, but confirm both at the centre.
