The Jazz number check code is *99#: dial it from the Jazz SIM whose number you need, and the number is shown on screen. Jazz lists *99# as "Check Jazz Number" on its own Self Service Dial Codes page, for Android and iPhone alike. Below are the other ways to find a Jazz number when the code does not answer, the codes people confuse it with, and what to do if the SIM is not even in your phone.

We read Jazz's self service dial code table on jazz.com.pk on 24 October 2026. It is the first time we could confirm a Jazz code at source; an earlier check of third party lists found four different codes for Jazz and no agreement.

Dial *99# from the Jazz SIM to see its number

Dial *99# from the Jazz SIM and press call. Jazz's Self Service Dial Codes page lists *99# under "Check Jazz Number" for both Android and iOS phones. Jazz shows no charge for it on that page, and it needs no internet.

Two small details catch people out. In a dual SIM phone, the dialler may use the other SIM by default, so pick the Jazz SIM before you press call. And the code tells you the number of the SIM you dial from, not of a SIM sitting in another phone.

  1. Open the phone dialler, not the browser or WhatsApp.
  2. If the phone has two SIMs, choose the Jazz SIM.
  3. Type *99# and press call.
  4. Read the number on the screen or in the reply SMS, and save it as a contact called "My Jazz".

Other Jazz codes people mix up with the number code

The same Jazz table lists *111# for balance, *444# for offers and your package plan, *6611# for active paid services and *7050# for your last three days of usage. None of them is the number code, though some replies may include the number.

What you wantJazz codeWhere Jazz lists it
Your own Jazz number*99#Common issues table, "Check Jazz Number"
Prepaid balance*111#Prepaid table, "Check Your Prepaid Balance"
Offers and your package plan*444#Prepaid table, "My Offers Information"
Active paid services*6611#Prepaid table, "Active VAS Services"
Last 3 days of usage*7050#Prepaid table
Phone's IMEI number*#06#Common issues table

If the reason you want the number is a strange deduction, *7050# is the code that explains it; we wrote up why a Jazz balance was deducted separately. For money left on the SIM, the Jazz balance check uses *111#.

Find the number without a code: three fallbacks

If *99# gives an error or no reply, call or send a WhatsApp message to someone you trust and ask them to read the number back. You can also check the phone's SIM settings, or look at the SIM's original packing card if you kept it.

  • Call a family member. It costs one short call and it never fails while the SIM has balance or a call bundle.
  • Phone settings. On many Android phones, look under Settings, then About phone, then SIM status. On an iPhone, Settings, then Phone, shows "My Number". Both fields are often blank for Pakistani prepaid SIMs, because the network does not always write the number to the SIM.
  • The SIM packing card. The plastic card the SIM came in usually has the number printed on it.

The phone settings method works the same way on every network, and we tested it in more detail when we looked at how to check your own mobile number in Pakistan across all networks.

When *99# does not work, check these four things

Most failures come from the wrong SIM, no signal, a blocked SIM, or a SIM that has been inactive for months. Fix the cause first; dialling the code again and again will not change the answer.

  1. Wrong SIM selected. Check the SIM icon on the call button.
  2. No signal. Jazz's own fix list says to turn airplane mode on for 30 seconds and then off, or choose the network manually in mobile network settings.
  3. SIM blocked or suspended. A SIM blocked after a PIN error, a biometric re-verification notice or a lost-phone report will not run USSD codes.
  4. SIM unused for a long time. A SIM that sat unused can be suspended under PTA's non-usage rule, so the code gets no reply.

If the SIM shows no service at all, the fixes are in Jazz SIM not working. If it was suspended for sitting unused, PTA's 180-day non-usage rule explains how to keep the number.

If the SIM is lost, block it before you look for the number

When the phone or SIM is missing, the number matters less than blocking it. Call the Jazz helpline from another phone, give your CNIC details, and ask for the SIM to be blocked. Then get a duplicate SIM on the same number.

A SIM in someone else's hands receives your bank and wallet codes. That is how SIM swap fraud starts, and the steps for the first half hour are in our page on stopping SIM swap fraud. To find every number registered on your CNIC, including old Jazz SIMs you forgot about, PTA's check by CNIC is covered in SIMs registered on your CNIC.

Never read your number, CNIC or any code aloud to a caller who says they are from Jazz. Jazz staff do not need you to dial codes for them.

Steps to find your Jazz number: choose the Jazz SIM, dial *99#, read the reply, save it, use a fallback if it fails

Common questions

What is the Jazz number check code?

It is *99#. Jazz lists it as "Check Jazz Number" on its Self Service Dial Codes page. Dial it from the Jazz SIM whose number you need.

Is the Jazz number check code free?

Jazz shows no charge for *99# on its dial code page. We did not dial it, so we cannot confirm from a bill that nothing is deducted.

Does *99# work on a Jazz SIM in an iPhone?

Yes, according to Jazz. Its table lists *99# under both the Android and the iOS columns.

Can I find someone else's Jazz number with this code?

No. The code shows the number of the SIM you dial from. Jazz does not offer a public lookup of other people's numbers.

Is *99# the Jazz code or the Ufone code?

Jazz's own page lists *99# for Jazz. Some third party lists give *99# for Ufone too, which is one reason we only trust the operator's page for each network.

What if *99# shows "connection problem or invalid MMI code"?

Check that the Jazz SIM is selected and has signal, then try again after airplane mode. If it still fails, call a family member or check the SIM packing card.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read the Self Service Dial Codes page on jazz.com.pk on 24 October 2026, through a text rendering service because the table loads with JavaScript. It lists *99# as "Check Jazz Number", plus *111#, *444#, *6611#, *7050# and *#06#, and the airplane mode and manual network fixes. Jazz's main contact page points complaints to the SIMOSA app. We did not dial any code from a Jazz SIM, so we could not confirm whether the number appears as a screen message or an SMS, or whether any charge applies.
