KPK Vehicle Verification Online: What the KP Excise Site Offers, and Every District Office Number

KPK vehicle verification is not available as a working online lookup right now: the KP Excise website lists Vehicle Verification under e-Services, but on 24 October 2026 the menu item opened nothing. To check a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa car or bike, call the Motor Registration Authority in Peshawar on 091-9211671 for private vehicles, or the Excise office of the district where it is registered.

We tested the KP Excise site on 24 October 2026 and copied the department's own district phone directory. Below is what the site offers, every district office number, what to ask on the phone, and the checks to run on the car itself before you pay.

The KP Excise Vehicle Verification link leads nowhere

The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department's website, kpexcise.gov.pk, has an e-Services menu with Vehicle Verification, Registration Book Info and Vehicle Reg. On 24 October 2026 none of the three had a web address behind it, so clicking did nothing.

We checked the page code as well as clicking. The Vehicle Verification item has no link at all, and the other two point back to the home page. We also tried likely addresses on the same site, and each returned "404 Not Found". So this is a gap on the site, not a slow connection.

Treat any non-government site that offers a KP vehicle lookup with care, especially if it asks for your CNIC. The department's own website names no third-party lookup.

Peshawar's Motor Registration Authority answers for most KP vehicles

Peshawar has two motor registration offices on the directory: one for private vehicles and one for commercial vehicles. Call the right one with the registration number, chassis number and engine number ready, and ask for the owner name, model year and token tax status.

Expect the office to ask why you want the record. A buyer with the seller present and the registration book in hand gets a far better answer than an anonymous caller. If the seller refuses to come along to the office, treat that as a warning.

Every KP district Excise office number

Outside Peshawar, call the Excise and Taxation Officer of the district where the vehicle is registered. The district is usually clear from the registration book. These numbers are from the department's District and Region phone directory, read on 24 October 2026.

The regional directors are listed too: Mardan 0937-9230258, Malakand 0946-9240017, Hazara 0992-9310350 and D.I. Khan 0966-9280269. Government offices keep working hours, so call on a weekday morning.

How to verify a KP vehicle before you buy it

Without an online lookup, the check is in person and on paper. Match the car to the registration book, confirm the record with the Excise office, check the token tax, and only then pay. Do the transfer straight away.

1. Note the registration number, chassis number and engine number from the car itself, not from the papers.
2. Compare them with the registration book or smart card. Any mismatch on chassis or engine means stop.
3. Match the owner name in the book with the seller's CNIC.
4. Call or visit the Excise office of the registering district and confirm the owner and token tax status.
5. Pay only after that, and start the transfer the same week.

Other provinces still have working vehicle lookups

If the car is registered outside KP, use that province's system. Sindh lets you check vehicles by CNIC, and Islamabad has moved its checks into an online portal. A KP car moving to another province also needs an NOC.
