Passport Office Karachi: All 12 Offices, Addresses, Phone Numbers and 24/7 Centres
Every passport office in Karachi from the DGI&P list: Awami Markaz, Nazimabad and Siemens Chowrangi run 24/7, plus Saddar, Clifton and Malir addresses.

Karachi has 12 passport offices and counters on the official list of the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGI&P), and three of them take applications 24 hours a day: the Regional Passport Office at Awami Markaz on Shahrah-e-Faisal and the NADRA Mega Centers in North Nazimabad and at Siemens Chowrangi. The table below gives every Karachi address and phone number that DGI&P prints, and marks the three offices it lists without an address.
Karachi is the only city with three passport offices that run all three shifts, which helps in a city where a cross-town trip can take two hours. We read DGI&P's list of passport offices and its ordinary passport page on 28 October 2026. The office list was last modified on 20 July 2026.
Karachi has 12 passport offices on the official list
DGI&P lists nine passport offices in Karachi and three passport counters inside NADRA offices. They include five numbered regional offices, an executive office in Clifton, a Malir office, a counter in the Sindh Assembly and one at Navy Karsaz.

Karachi-II, III and IV carry no address and no phone on the list we read. We are not going to guess where they are. If you live in Central, West or East Karachi, the two Mega Centers or Awami Markaz are the offices you can find with certainty.

Awami Markaz, Nazimabad and Siemens Chowrangi never close
DGI&P runs the Awami Markaz office and the two NADRA Mega Centers in North Nazimabad and Siemens Chowrangi in three shifts, Monday to Sunday. The other Karachi offices follow the normal timetable of 8 am to 4 pm on weekdays.
The shifts are 8:00 to 16:00, 16:00 to 24:00 and 24:00 to 08:00 hours. That spread is useful in practice. Somebody in Korangi or Saddar can use Awami Markaz, somebody in North Karachi or Gulshan can use Nazimabad, and somebody near SITE or Orangi can use Siemens Chowrangi.
The normal timetable for the rest is 8 am to 4 pm from Monday to Friday, with a prayer and lunch break from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm. DGI&P offices close on public holidays, and the page does not mention Saturday. Hours across the country are compared in our note on passport office timings.

Any Karachi resident can apply at any office in the country
Passport Rule 6 of 2021, quoted by DGI&P, lets every citizen apply at any passport office, whatever address is on the CNIC, NICOP or Child Registration Certificate. A worker in Karachi with an upcountry address does not need to travel home.
The full wording is in our note on applying at any passport office. The same rule works the other way: a Karachi CNIC holder visiting Hyderabad can apply there.
Two Karachi entries are special. The Sindh Assembly counter sits inside the Assembly building, and the Navy Karsaz office sits inside Faisal Cantonment. DGI&P's list does not say who may use either. Most people should use a public office.
The Executive Passport Office in Clifton follows the normal 8 am to 4 pm hours, according to DGI&P. The pages we read do not show a separate executive fee, so ask before you queue. Karachi is also on DGI&P's list of fast track passport cities; with the e-Passport now the standard book, check at the counter that fast track is still offered.
Bring your CNIC, old passport and the right fee
An adult needs the original CNIC and a photocopy, the previous passport if any, and a department NOC if employed by the government. The e-Passport costs Rs 9,000 normal or Rs 15,000 urgent for 36 pages and five years, at every Karachi office.
| e-Passport | Validity | Normal fee | Urgent fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| 36 pages | 5 years | Rs 9,000 | Rs 15,000 |
| 36 pages | 10 years | Rs 13,500 | Rs 22,500 |
| 72 pages | 5 years | Rs 16,500 | Rs 27,000 |
| 72 pages | 10 years | Rs 24,750 | Rs 40,500 |
Children under 15 only get five years. A child needs the Child Registration Certificate (Form B) or the Family Registration Certificate, plus both parents' CNICs. If a passport was lost, bring a police report with the old passport number; the full route is in our note on how to replace a lost passport.
DGI&P's own page gives two sets of processing times: 21 working days normal and 5 urgent in one table, and 10 and 4 in its guidelines. Plan with the longer one.
Plan a Karachi passport visit in five steps
Choose the office closest to you that is open when you are free, carry your documents, and come early in a shift. A night shift at one of the three 24 hour offices avoids both traffic and the morning queue for many Karachi workers.
- Pick the nearest office from the table, leaving out those without an address.
- Check whether it runs 24 hours or 8 am to 4 pm.
- Carry your original CNIC, a photocopy and your old passport.
- Get a token, then give your photo and fingerprints.
- Keep the slip and wait for SMS updates from 9988.
The counters you pass through are explained in how a passport application works. If you prefer not to collect it, DGI&P also offers passport home delivery.

Use the helpline when a Karachi number does not answer
Only five of the 12 Karachi entries carry a phone number. When none answers, call DGI&P's helpline on 051-111-344-777, staffed 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on working days, or complain on the Pakistan Citizen Portal.
Status messages come by SMS from 9988 to the mobile number you gave at data entry. You cannot text a token to 9988 to ask. Use passport tracking for the other routes, and file a passport complaint if a passport is late.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 28 October 2026. Addresses, phone numbers and the 24 hour labels come from DGI&P's passport office list (last modified 20 July 2026). Shift times, normal hours, Rule 6, documents, e-Passport fees and processing times come from DGI&P's ordinary passport page (last modified 23 October 2026). Fast track cities and helpline hours come from DGI&P's fast track page and helpline notice. We did not visit or call any office. We could not find addresses for Karachi-II, III and IV, confirm who may use the Assembly and Navy Karsaz offices, or confirm whether fast track still runs for the e-Passport.
