Which Platforms Actually Pay Pakistani Creators

Pakistan is on fewer creator payout lists than the countries around it. We have now checked six platforms one at a time, and the pattern is consistent enough to be worth stating plainly: some pay into Pakistan without difficulty, several exclude it, and the reason is almost never anything to do with Pakistani content.

This page is the summary. Each platform has its own page with the detail and the sourcing, because how confident we are differs a lot between them.

Where things stand

Two of those are worth acting on immediately. If you earn on X, the programme retires on 7 September 2026 and your payout details need to be correct before then, which we set out in our piece on the X change. The reason is the payment rail, not your content

Creators reasonably assume exclusion is a judgement about the market or the content. Reporting on the X change points somewhere much duller: the platform pays through Stripe, and a creator has to sit in a country Stripe supports for payouts. Where the payment coverage stops, the programme stops.

That explains why the pattern repeats across unrelated companies, and it also explains why the exclusions can lift without any announcement about Pakistan specifically. It is infrastructure rather than opinion.

The comparison that makes it concrete

Snapchat's Spotlight programme is the clearest illustration. The eligible country list reported for it includes India, Indonesia, Nigeria, the Philippines, Egypt, Jordan and Morocco. Pakistan is not on it.

Those are not markets that are richer or larger in every case. What they have is payment processing coverage that Pakistan does not, which is the same constraint in a different uniform. We could not read that list on Snapchat's own help page to confirm it, and we say more about that limitation at the end.

What to do with this

1. Check whether a platform can pay into Pakistan before you build a year of work on it.
2. Prefer income somebody chooses to pay you over income a programme might allow.
3. Get your payout method working early, not when the first payment is due.
4. Do not misrepresent your country to a payment processor, whatever anyone offers.
5. Treat any per view rate you cannot trace to the platform as decoration.

The second point is the one that changes outcomes. Brand deals, client work and selling your own product all pay from Pakistan today, on every platform, because a person or company has decided to pay you. No eligibility list stands between you and that.

The two that clearly do work

YouTube pays Pakistani creators through AdSense, and the constraint there is not eligibility but rate. Sort the money route once

Whichever platform you settle on, the constraint that decides whether you actually get paid is the same. Set up a proper account and a payout method that works from Pakistan, and keep the name on both matching.

Which platform is best to start on from Pakistan?

YouTube and Facebook are the two we can point to as paying into Pakistan. Which suits you depends on your format, not on the payout question alone.

Why is Pakistan excluded so often?

Reporting points at payment processing coverage rather than anything about Pakistani creators or content.

Can I use a VPN or a foreign account?

Misrepresenting your location to a payment processor is what gets earnings frozen and accounts closed, usually after enough has built up to hurt. It is not a workaround.

Will these lists change?

They do change, in both directions. X's own programme is being retired this September, and TikTok's expansion is discussed for late 2026 or 2027 without confirmation for Pakistan.

What always works?

Money paid directly by a person or company. Brand deals, client work and your own products do not depend on any eligibility list.
