The Zong SMS packages on Zong's own price list are a Daily SMS bundle at Rs 34.50 for 500 SMS, a Weekly SMS + WhatsApp bundle at Rs 60 for 1,300 SMS, and a Monthly SMS + WhatsApp bundle at Rs 150 for 500 SMS a day, which you get by dialling *705# or sending an SMS to 700. Postpaid users have three cheaper monthly SMS add-ons, and there is a separate voice SMS service called Bolo SMS.

Below you will find every Zong SMS offer we found on zong.com.pk, the code or short code for each, how to stop the auto renewal, and the cheaper choice for each type of user. We read every product page on 31 October 2026. Prices are Zong's "consumer price", which already includes tax, unless we say "plus tax".

Zong has three prepaid SMS bundles and three postpaid SMS add-ons

Prepaid users choose between a daily, a weekly and a monthly SMS bundle, each with some WhatsApp data. Postpaid users get 300, 700 or unlimited SMS a month as add-ons. A voice SMS service and an international SMS rate complete the list.

Zong's SMS listing page shows the Daily SMS bundle as Rs 35, while the bundle's own page shows Rs 34.50. The gap is small. The amount Zong confirms by SMS after you subscribe is the one that counts.

Dial *705# or send an SMS to 700 to subscribe

Zong's monthly bundle page gives the method: dial *705# or send an SMS to 700, and Zong replies with a menu of SMS bundles. You reply with the option number. For the monthly bundle, Zong says the option is 4.

  1. Check your balance first, so the bundle does not fail. The code is in the full list of Zong dial codes.
  2. Dial *705# from your Zong number, or send any SMS to 700.
  3. Read the menu that comes back. It lists the SMS bundles with their numbers.
  4. Reply with the number of the bundle you want. For the monthly bundle it is 4.
  5. Wait for the confirmation SMS and keep it until the bundle ends.

The daily and weekly product pages on Zong's site do not print a separate code. So use the same *705# menu and pick from the list. We did not dial the code ourselves, so the exact order of the menu may differ on your phone.

Zong SMS bundles renew on their own, so stop them by SMS to 700

Zong's SMS page says all SMS bundles have auto-renew. To stop one, send "unsub" or "unsubscribe" to 700. Zong says this message is free. Do it a day before the bundle ends if you do not want the next charge.

A Rs 34.50 daily bundle that renews every day costs about Rs 1,035 over 30 days, almost seven times the monthly price, by our arithmetic.

If you have other services you no longer use, the codes to cancel them are in the list of Zong unsubscribe codes. A service you never asked for is a separate problem, and PTA's rules on services activated without consent let you ask for it to be removed and refunded.

The monthly bundle is the cheapest per SMS for most people

The monthly bundle gives up to 500 SMS a day for Rs 150. The weekly bundle gives 1,300 SMS for Rs 60. The daily bundle gives 500 SMS for Rs 34.50. If you text every day, the monthly bundle wins clearly.

BundlePriceCost over 30 daysBest for
Daily SMSRs 34.50About Rs 1,035 if renewed dailyOne busy day of texting
Weekly SMS + WhatsAppRs 60About Rs 257 if renewed weeklyA few SMS a day, short stay
Monthly SMS + WhatsAppRs 150Rs 150Regular daily texting

The monthly bundle's 500 SMS are a daily limit, so it is not 15,000 SMS to spend at once.

Zong SMS bundle cost over 30 days compared

Zong also says the WhatsApp MBs in these bundles are for text messages and sharing pictures and videos. WhatsApp voice and video calls are charged separately. If you mainly call on WhatsApp, a social bundle suits you better than an SMS bundle.

Postpaid users add SMS to the bill instead

Zong postpaid users can add 300 SMS for Rs 25, 700 SMS for Rs 50 or unlimited SMS for Rs 90 a month, all plus tax. The charge goes on the monthly bill rather than coming from balance.

The unlimited add-on has an asterisk on Zong's page, which normally means a fair use limit applies. Zong's page does not say what that limit is, and we could not confirm it. The postpaid pages also warn that a number dormant for 90 days or more that has hit its credit limit may have the bill taken from the security deposit. The Zong postpaid plans and bill codes explain the credit limit side.

Bolo SMS sends a voice note instead of text

Zong Bolo SMS lets you record a 15 second voice message for another Zong number. It costs Rs 3 plus tax a day for 5 voice notes. After that, each extra voice note costs Rs 0.70 plus tax. It works only from Zong to Zong.

To use it, dial 5057, or dial 50 followed by the other person's number, then record. To stop the daily charge, send UNSUB to 5057. For international texts, Zong charges a flat Rs 10 plus tax for each SMS to any country, on prepaid and postpaid.

Check how many SMS are left with *102#

Dial *102# to see your remaining SMS and MBs. Zong's bundle page says each check costs 10 paisa plus tax. The My Zong app shows the same figures for free once you log in.

If your SMS stop working even though the bundle is active, restart the phone and call 310 so Zong can check the bundle on its side. The steps to check remaining Zong MBs, minutes and SMS also cover the app. Users on other networks can compare with Jazz SMS packages.

One safety point: never share a PIN or verification code with anyone who calls about a "free SMS bundle". The online subscribe button on Zong's site sends a PIN that only you should type.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 31 October 2026. We read Zong's SMS bundles page and the product pages for the daily, weekly and monthly SMS bundles, the three postpaid SMS add-ons, Bolo SMS and international SMS rates, all on zong.com.pk on 31 October 2026. The 30 day costs are our arithmetic. We did not dial *705# or subscribe to a bundle, so we could not confirm the menu order, the fair use limit on unlimited postpaid SMS, or which price applies in your area. Zong says prices may vary by location, so read the confirmation SMS before you rely on a figure.
