At Rs 3.70 for each GB, this is one of the cheapest data prices on Zong's prepaid list. The catch is the clock. The cost for each GB is our arithmetic: Rs 370 divided by 100 GB. The page does not say whether the data works outside the night window. Rs 3.70 for each GB is far below Zong's other weekly bundles
Zong's other weekly data bundles cost more for each GB. Weekly Digital Max is Rs 750 for 100 GB, which is Rs 7.50 for each GB. Weekly Pro is Rs 670 for 40 GB, which is Rs 16.75. The night window is the price of the saving.
That makes the offer a good second bundle, not a first one. A student with a phone plan for daytime can add it on top for large downloads. A household with a hotspot can use it for updates and backups. Other night internet packages use different windows, so compare the hours before you choose.
Plan your downloads for the night window before you subscribe
Eight hours a night over 7 days gives 56 hours of use. To use 100 GB, you need heavy downloads, not browsing. Large app updates, game patches, cloud backups, and offline video all fit. Plan the big files first, then subscribe.
- List the large downloads you have waiting: updates, games, backups.
- Switch off automatic app updates in the daytime so they do not eat other data.
- Subscribe by dialling *808# a little before 1 am, or earlier in the evening.
- Start the downloads after 1 am and keep the phone plugged in.
- Check what is left in the morning.
If you share data with a laptop, share your mobile hotspot from the phone and keep the phone plugged in. Large Windows updates are a good use of a 100 GB night bundle.
Check the balance and the end date so the offer does not catch you out
The bundle lasts 7 days and ends without renewing. Zong says a repeat purchase is charged again. Note the day you subscribe and set a reminder for day six. Use a short code to see what is left before you start a large download.
A simple test: after a download, check remaining Zong MBs and minutes and compare it with the file size. If the balance drops during the day, the data is not being used inside the window. Report it. Who cannot subscribe to the offer
Postpaid users cannot subscribe. Mobile broadband and internet SIM users cannot subscribe either. The offer is for Zong prepaid mobile numbers. Zong also says a customer who subscribes twice is charged twice, so one subscription is enough for the week.
If you buy a second weekly bundle on the same day, check the confirmation text. Two charges for the same offer are a common reason for a vanished balance. Keep the first confirmation message in case you need to prove what you bought.
