Check If Your PC Can Run Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 in Pakistan: 115 GB SSD and TPM 2.0
Modern Warfare 4 launches 23 October. See the official PC specs: 8 GB RAM, GTX 970, 115 GB SSD, and the TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot rule. Check your PC first.

Short answer: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 needs Windows 10 version 22H2 or Windows 11, 8 GB of RAM, a GTX 970 or Radeon RX 470 class card and 115 GB of free space on an SSD. It also needs TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot switched on, or you cannot play any online mode. The game launches on 23 October 2026.
A lot of gaming PCs in Pakistan are built from second-hand parts: an older i5, a card bought from a market in Hall Road or Saddar, a hard disk that has served for years. Those machines can still run the game on paper. The two items that catch them out are the SSD rule and the security rule.
We read the official Call of Duty blog post on PC specs, dated 29 September 2026, and the Activision support article on TPM and Secure Boot, last updated 16 September 2026. Everything below comes from those two pages.
The minimum PC is modest, but the game needs 115 GB on an SSD
The minimum specification is a Ryzen 5 1400 or Core i5-6600, 8 GB of RAM and a GTX 970, GTX 1060, Radeon RX 470 or Intel Arc A580 with 3 GB of video memory. Storage is the catch: 115 GB, and the blog says an SSD is required.
An SSD is a solid state drive, a storage drive with no moving parts that loads files much faster than an old hard disk. If your game library sits on a hard disk, plan to move it. A 256 GB SSD is tight once Windows and one other game are installed.
| Part | Minimum | Recommended (90 FPS, high settings) |
|---|---|---|
| Windows | Windows 10 64 bit, latest update | Windows 11 64 bit, latest update |
| Processor | Ryzen 5 1400 or Core i5-6600 | Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i7-8700K |
| Memory | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| Graphics card | GTX 970 / 1060, RX 470, Arc A580 | RTX 3060 Ti, RX 6600 XT, Arc B580 |
| Video memory | 3 GB | 8 GB |
| Storage | 115 GB, SSD required | 115 GB, SSD required |

The recommended spec targets 90 frames per second
The recommended PC runs the multiplayer at 90 frames per second on high settings. That means a Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i7-8700K, 16 GB of RAM and an RTX 3060 Ti, RX 6600 XT or Arc B580 with 8 GB of video memory.
The blog also lists a third tier for ray tracing at 4K upscaled: Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-10700K, 32 GB of RAM, and an RX 9070 XT or RTX 5070 Ti with 16 GB of video memory. Most Pakistani players will not need that tier. Ray tracing is supported in Campaign, Multiplayer and DMZ, and it is optional.
The game also includes upscaling options. These are tools that draw the picture at a lower size and enlarge it, so a weaker card keeps a higher frame rate. The blog names NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, AMD FSR Redstone and Intel XeSS 3. A built-in benchmark tool tests your PC with a simulated match and suggests settings.
TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are required, and this is where older PCs fail
Both TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot must be enabled. Activision's support page says players who do not meet this are restricted from playing any online game mode in Modern Warfare 4. It is a rule for anti-cheat, not a graphics setting.
TPM is a small security feature on the processor or motherboard. Secure Boot makes the PC load only trusted software at startup. Windows 11 already needs both, so a PC that runs Windows 11 properly is probably fine. A Windows 10 PC may have them switched off in the BIOS, the setup screen that runs before Windows.
The support page also sets processor limits for TPM 2.0: an Intel 8th Gen or newer with Intel PTT, or an AMD Ryzen 2000 series or newer with fTPM. Only Intel and AMD processors with the AVX instruction set are supported, and the page notes that Windows 10 must be version 22H2 or later.
If the wizard says either feature is off, the fix is a short visit to the BIOS, and the steps for turning on TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are the same on most boards.
Check your PC in five steps before launch day
Run through the list below once. It takes about ten minutes and tells you whether you need a part, a BIOS change or nothing at all.
- Press the Windows key and R, type winver and confirm Windows 10 is version 22H2 or later, or that you are on Windows 11.
- Check your processor and graphics card in Task Manager, under Performance, against the table above.
- Confirm you have 115 GB free on an SSD, not on a hard disk.
- Download and run the official Call of Duty Secure Attestation Wizard from the Activision support page, version 1.2.0.
- If the wizard says TPM or Secure Boot is not enabled, fix it in the BIOS before the game launches.

Preload early, because the download is 115 GB
On PC, people who pre-purchase the game digitally can preload it. Preloading begins on 15 October at 9 am Pacific time, which is 9 pm in Pakistan. The full game releases on 23 October at midnight local time, on Xbox on PC, Battle.net and Steam.
On a Pakistani broadband line, 115 GB can take hours, and a mobile data package will not stretch that far. PTA data puts mobile internet speeds in Pakistan at an average of 18.9 Mbps on 4G in the second quarter of 2026, so a fixed line is the safer choice. Buying on Steam also raises a payment question, which we cover under paying for Steam games.
The blog also asks players to install the Xbox PC app and the newest graphics drivers before launch, so the Advanced Shader Delivery feature can prepare shaders ahead of time. Recommended drivers listed are AMD 26.7.1, NVIDIA 616.56 and Intel 32.0.101.8974. Laggy matches are a separate problem, and fixing high ping in online games is worth reading before you play.
Common questions
Can my PC run Modern Warfare 4 on a hard disk?
No. The official specification says an SSD is required, with 115 GB of free space. A hard disk does not meet the requirement.
Do I need Windows 11 to play?
No. Windows 10 version 22H2 or later is accepted. Windows 11 is listed for the recommended tier.
What happens if TPM 2.0 is off?
You are restricted from playing any online game mode in Modern Warfare 4. Turn it on in the BIOS before launch.
Does the game support DLSS and FSR?
Yes. The official blog lists NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, AMD FSR Redstone, Intel XeSS 3 and Filmic SMAA T2X.
When can I download it on PC?
Preloading starts on 15 October at 9 am Pacific time, 9 pm in Pakistan, for digital pre-purchases. The game releases on 23 October.
Is Modern Warfare 4 available on Steam?

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the Call of Duty blog post Modern Warfare 4 PC Trailer and Specs and the Activision support article on TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on 12 October 2026. Specifications are valid for launch and may change, so check the blog again close to 23 October.
