Facebook Account Suspended or Disabled: How to Appeal in 180 Days From Pakistan
Facebook suspended or disabled your account? Appeal from the login screen within 180 days, send your CNIC as ID and avoid unlock scams. Steps for Pakistan.

If Facebook shows "We suspended your account", log in at facebook.com and follow the appeal prompt within 180 days. Miss that window, or lose the appeal, and Meta permanently disables the account with no further review. The rest of this page covers the difference between suspended and disabled, which ID to send from Pakistan, why accounts get hit, and the fake "recovery agents" who target people at exactly this moment.
The message usually arrives in two places at once: an email from Meta and a full-screen notice when you try to log in. We read Facebook's own Help Centre article on suspended and disabled accounts, its list of accepted IDs and Meta's Transparency Centre pages on strikes on 24 October 2026. Everything below comes from those pages. We did not appeal a real account ourselves.
Suspended and disabled are two different stages
A suspended Facebook account can still be saved: you have 180 days to appeal. A disabled account is the end point, reached when the 180 days pass, when an appeal fails, or straight away for severe violations. Read the exact words on your screen first.
Facebook's Help Centre says it may suspend an account if the account or its activity may not follow the Community Standards. While suspended or disabled, the profile is not visible to anyone and you cannot use it. Friends searching for you will simply not find it, which is why many people first hear about the problem from a cousin asking whether they blocked them.
| What you see | What it means | Can you appeal? |
|---|---|---|
| "We suspended your account" | Account hidden, decision not final | Yes, within 180 days |
| "We disabled your account" after a failed appeal | Permanent decision | No further review |
| "We disabled your account" with no suspension first | Severe or time-sensitive violation | Only if the screen offers it |
| A login code or "confirm it's you" screen | A security check, not a ban | Not needed, finish the check |
| Password no longer works, email changed | Likely hacked | Use facebook.com/hacked instead |
If the last row describes you, an appeal is the wrong tool. The steps to recover a hacked Facebook account start at facebook.com/hacked, and they work on a different track.

How to appeal a suspended Facebook account in 6 steps
The appeal starts from the normal login page. Facebook says that when you log in to a suspended account you will be prompted to appeal within 180 days. There is no separate public form and no phone line, so the login screen is the door.
- Open facebook.com or the Facebook app and log in with your usual email or phone number and password.
- Read the suspension notice. It should name the reason, for example a post or a breach of the identity rules.
- Choose the option to disagree or appeal the decision.
- If asked to confirm your identity, upload one government ID such as your CNIC, passport or driving licence.
- Write a short, honest explanation if a text box appears. Say what you use the account for and why you think the decision is wrong.
- Submit, then check your email and the login screen for the result. Do not open new accounts while you wait.
Keep the explanation plain. A three-line note in simple English beats a long, angry one. And note the date you appealed: the 180-day clock started on the day of the suspension, not on the day you noticed it.

Facebook accepts a CNIC as your government ID
Facebook's list of accepted government IDs includes a national identity card, a passport, a driving licence and a birth certificate. One government ID is enough. Without one, you can send two non-government IDs, as long as both carry your name.
For a Pakistani user the CNIC is the obvious choice, because it shows your name, photo and date of birth. A passport works just as well. Facebook does not publish a separate list for Pakistan, so stick to the documents it names.
| Option | How many | Examples Facebook lists |
|---|---|---|
| Government ID | 1 | National identity card, passport, driving licence, birth certificate |
| Non-government ID | 2 | Student card, library card, refugee card, employment verification, diploma, loyalty card |
Two rules trip people up. First, Facebook says it does not accept photos that have been digitally edited to hide information. You may physically cover details it does not need, such as the ID number, before you take the photo. Second, the name on your documents must match the name you want on the profile. An account called "Prince Ali 007" will struggle to match a CNIC that says Muhammad Ali.
Facebook also says it ignores sensitive details on the ID that it does not need for the review. Send only what is asked; it says extra documents can slow the review down.

Why Facebook suspends or disables accounts
Facebook names three main reasons: posting content that breaks the Community Standards, pretending to be someone else, and contacting people to harass, advertise or promote. Meta's strike system adds up smaller violations until the account is removed.
Meta's Transparency Centre says strikes on Facebook or Instagram expire after one year. After five strikes, an account may face extra 30-day restrictions or removal, depending on how serious and frequent the violations were. Some violations are severe enough for removal after one occurrence. Meta also says it disables accounts created to get around its restrictions.
Common Pakistani patterns that fit these rules: a second profile opened after the first was restricted, a name that does not look real, bulk friend requests from a new account selling clothes, or a page reposting other people's videos. Facebook also notes that in some regions it may suspend accounts of people in a certain age range under local law. If you are under 13, the account was never allowed.
For Pages and creators, reposted clips cause a separate problem; it is worth running the checks for unoriginal content on Facebook and Instagram before the strikes pile up.
Do not pay anyone to unlock your account
No agent, "Meta partner" or WhatsApp seller can reverse a suspension. The only appeal is the one inside your own login screen, and it is free. Anyone asking for your password, a login code or money in JazzCash or Easypaisa is running a scam.
Meta has no general public phone number for customer support. So a caller who says they are "Facebook Pakistan support" is not. If someone took money from you this way, the steps to report cybercrime to the NCCIA apply, and you should change your passwords at once.
Once you are back in, protect the account so a hacker cannot get you suspended for their spam. Turning on two-step verification takes two minutes. Then check where your Facebook is logged in and remove any phone you do not recognise.
Common questions
How long do I have to appeal a Facebook suspension?
Facebook's Help Centre says 180 days from the suspension. It also says the appeal period varies by region, so act on the date shown on your own screen.
Can I appeal a permanently disabled Facebook account?
No. Facebook says that once an account is permanently disabled after the 180 days or a failed appeal, you cannot request another review.
How long does Facebook take to review an appeal?
The suspended-account article we read gives no review time. Watch your email and the login screen; there is no way to speed it up.
Can I make a new Facebook account if mine is disabled?
Meta says it disables accounts created to get around its restrictions. A new profile can be removed too, so appeal the original first.
Will my Facebook Page survive if my profile is disabled?
A Page stays only if another admin still has access. Add a trusted second admin now, and use the steps for getting back admin access to a Facebook Page if you lose it.
Is my Instagram affected too?
Strikes are counted on Facebook and Instagram separately, but both follow Meta's rules. Instagram has its own disabled account appeal process.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read Facebook's Help Centre article My personal Facebook account is suspended or disabled, its page on types of IDs that Facebook accepts, and Meta's counting strikes and disabling accounts pages on 24 October 2026. We could not verify how long reviews take, whether Pakistan's appeal window differs from 180 days, or the exact wording of each screen, because these change by region and we did not test a suspended account.
