Gold was reported at Rs 435,636 a tola for 24 karat in Pakistan on the morning of Friday 6 November 2026, with 10 grams at Rs 373,487. That is the rate the sarafa market set on Thursday, after gold rose Rs 23,500 a tola in two days. Friday's new association rate had not been issued when we checked in the afternoon, so jewellers were quoting Thursday's figure.
Below you will find the rate in tola, 10 grams and 1 gram, the 22 karat rate, our estimates for 21 and 18 karat, every daily rate we could confirm since 31 October, and what a buyer pays for common weights. The rates are reported, not read at the source. The sarafa association that sets them has no website we could find, and we explain how we checked them in the last section.
Gold is Rs 435,636 a tola on 6 November 2026
The 24 karat rate quoted on Friday morning was Rs 435,636 a tola and Rs 373,487 for 10 grams. Ten grams of 22 karat gold were Rs 342,375. All three were reported as association rates and were the same as Thursday's close.
| Unit | Rate quoted, 6 November 2026 | Change from Thursday's rate |
|---|---|---|
| 24 karat, 1 tola | Rs 435,636 | No change yet |
| 24 karat, 10 grams | Rs 373,487 | No change yet |
| 24 karat, 1 gram | Rs 37,348.70 | No change yet |
| 22 karat, 10 grams | Rs 342,375 | No change yet |
The gram figure is our own division of the 10 gram rate. The two 24 karat figures also show which tola the market uses: Rs 435,636 divided by Rs 37,348.70 gives 11.664 grams to a tola. The reasons gold rates differ between sources come down mostly to this tola figure and to rounding.

Gold gained Rs 23,500 a tola on Wednesday and Thursday
Gold rose Rs 13,900 on Wednesday 4 November to Rs 426,036 a tola, then Rs 9,600 on Thursday to Rs 435,636. Together that is Rs 23,500 in two trading days, after the rate had stayed flat at Rs 412,136 on Tuesday.
The world price explains most of it. The international gold price was reported at $4,131 an ounce on Thursday, up from $3,896 on Monday 2 November. Pakistan's rate follows that dollar price, converted at the rupee rate. The rupee itself barely moved this week: the State Bank's interbank rate was Rs 276.66 on 6 November, as shown in the 6 November dollar rate.

Every gold rate we could confirm since 31 October
We confirmed daily rates for 31 October and 2 to 5 November. Gold fell to about Rs 409,736 on 31 October, then climbed back by Rs 25,900 in four sessions. Friday's own rate is not in the table because it had not been issued when we checked.
| Date | 24 karat per tola | Daily change |
|---|---|---|
| Saturday 31 October | Rs 409,736 | Rs 10,800 lower |
| Monday 2 November | Rs 412,136 | Rs 2,400 higher |
| Tuesday 3 November | Rs 412,136 | No change |
| Wednesday 4 November | Rs 426,036 | Rs 13,900 higher |
| Thursday 5 November | Rs 435,636 | Rs 9,600 higher |
| Friday 6 November, morning | Rs 435,636 | Thursday's rate still quoted |
The 31 October figure is our own arithmetic, worked back from Monday's rate and its Rs 2,400 rise. The tola is still Rs 6,400 below the October high of Rs 442,036 on 10 October. Thursday's full page is the gold rate for 5 November.

What a buyer pays for common weights today
At Rs 435,636 a tola, half a tola of 24 karat gold costs Rs 217,818 and a 5 gram piece costs Rs 186,744 before making charges. Jewellery adds a making charge and, at a registered shop, sales tax.
- Find the weight in tola or grams on the jeweller's scale.
- Multiply by the rate for the right karat, not the 24 karat rate.
- Add the making charge the shop quotes, per tola or per piece.
- Add sales tax if the shop charges it on its invoice.
- Ask for a written receipt that shows weight, karat and rate.
The full method is in calculating the price of gold jewellery, and the tax side in tax on buying gold. If you pay zakat on gold you hold, zakat on gold and silver shows how a rise like this changes your sum. Gold has moved by more than Rs 10,000 a tola in a single day twice in the past week, in both directions. Nobody can tell you the next move, and we will not guess.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 6 November 2026 at about 16:00 PKT. The 24 karat tola and 10 gram rates, the 22 karat rate, the daily changes and the international price are reported figures. We read them in published market reports that cite the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, because the association has no website we could find. A report published on the morning of 6 November gave the same rates as Thursday's. Friday's afternoon rate had not been reported when we checked. The gram rate, the 31 October rate, the karat estimates and the weight costs are our own arithmetic. The dollar rate is from the State Bank of Pakistan's 6 November sheet.
