Onic MNP in Pakistan: Port Your Number With 667 and 76333, and Why to Wait

Onic MNP code: send MNP to 667, forward to 76333. Prepaid ports take up to 4 days. PTA ordered new Onic sales to stop, so read this before you move your number.

To port your number to Onic, Onic's FAQ says to order in the app, tap Transfer Number, pay, then send MNP to 667 and forward the reply to 76333. But PTA ordered Onic's new sales and activations to stop in September 2026, and PTML has challenged that order in court as reported, so we would wait. Onic users moving out send the same 667 SMS, then forward it to the new network's code.

We read Onic's FAQ on 7 November 2026. It still explains port-in and its site still shows an Order Now button. We did not place an order, so we cannot say if a new port would complete today. Below are the steps both ways, the rules that block a port, and the risk you should weigh first.

PTA's order is the first thing to check before porting to Onic

PTA's order of 11 September 2026 told PTML, the company behind Ufone and Onic, to stop Onic's new sales, activations and SIM issuing, and to move existing users to PTML within three months. PTML's court challenge was reported in October. Nothing we read shows the matter settled.

So our view is simple. If you want Onic's packages today, do not port your main number into a brand whose future is in dispute. The background is in PTML's court challenge and what PTA's Onic order means for users. A number you use for banking deserves extra care.

How Onic says you port a number in, in 6 steps

Onic's FAQ gives six steps. You install the app, sign up with email, choose a plan and tap Transfer Number, add your details, pay, then send MNP to 667 and forward the reply to 76333. Prepaid takes up to 4 business days.

  1. Install the Onic app and sign up with your email.
  2. Choose a plan and tap Transfer Number.
  3. Fill in your personal details.
  4. Make the payment and confirm the order.
  5. Write MNP and send it to 667, then forward the reply to 76333.
  6. Wait for processing. Onic says up to 4 business days for prepaid and 13 to 18 business days for postpaid.

76333 is the short code PTA's list gives for Ufone, and Onic runs on the same company's network. That is why Onic and Ufone share it. You also complete a biometric check when you collect the SIM, and Onic's SIM pickup points lists where that happens.

Onic's FAQ names three things that stop a port

Onic's FAQ says you cannot port in if you are from AJK, if you changed ownership recently, or if you have used your current SIM for less than 60 days. PTA's general rules add a few more, such as unpaid postpaid dues on the old network.

  • AJK. Onic's FAQ rules out port-in from AJK.
  • Recent ownership change. The 60 day clock restarts after a transfer.
  • Under 60 days on the SIM. Wait until the 60 days have passed.
  • Postpaid dues. Clear your old bill first, since unpaid dues can block a port.
  • Your own name. The SIM must be on your CNIC. Changing SIM ownership comes first if it is not.

PTA's porting rules say unused prepaid balance is not refunded or moved, so use it up before you send the 667 SMS. Mobile wallets also need attention, and JazzCash, Easypaisa and UPaisa after a port explains what changes.

Onic users can port out with the same 667 SMS

An Onic number uses PTML's 0339 series, and it can move to another network like any number. Send MNP to 667, then give the reply to the new network, using its short code. Ask at the new network's counter if you are unsure.

Telenor76345
Ufone76333

The new network's counter handles the rest, with your original CNIC and your thumbprint. Full steps and rejection codes are in porting a mobile number in Pakistan. Which network to choose is a separate question, and the best network in your city uses PTA's own survey results.

Existing Onic users do not need to rush

PTA's order does not cancel your number. It gives PTML three months to move users across, a period that runs from a date PTA has not published. If PTML got the order in mid-September, that window would end around mid-December 2026.

Keep your number active, and take a look at what you have paid for. An annual plan is the one to watch, since nothing we read says how it would carry across. Ask Onic on 051-111-339-111 or at happiness@onic.pk, and keep the reply. All of Onic's contact routes are in the Onic helpline numbers.

If you do decide to leave, finish your data and balance first. PTA's rule on lost balance applies to Onic the same as anywhere else.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 7 November 2026. The steps, AJK rule and times come from Onic's FAQ. The order details come from PTA's determination, read on pta.gov.pk on 10 October 2026 for our earlier coverage. Short codes and the balance rule come from PTA's MNP porting guidelines, as read for our MNP pages. The court challenge is reported, not confirmed by PTML, and we found no later update when we checked.
