Short answer: Petrol costs Rs 392.66 a litre in Pakistan from Wednesday, 14 October 2026, down Rs 2.71. High speed diesel is Rs 396.82, down 3 paisa. Diesel is now Rs 4.16 dearer than petrol, up from a gap of Rs 1.48 yesterday.
That is the petrol price today in Pakistan. We read the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) price sheet effective 14 October at about 5:15am PKT. OGRA is the regulator that works out fuel prices under the daily pricing system. Its sheet says both prices apply from "00:00 hours" on 14 October, and it was published late on 13 October.
Petrol is Rs 392.66 and diesel Rs 396.82 today
From 14 October 2026, petrol is Rs 392.66 a litre and high speed diesel is Rs 396.82. Petrol fell Rs 2.71 from Rs 395.37. Diesel fell 3 paisa from Rs 396.85. This is the third petrol cut in a row, after Rs 0.66 on 10 October and Rs 2.93 on 13 October.

Petrol is now Rs 6.30 below its Rs 398.96 high of 9 October. It is still Rs 5.26 above the Rs 387.40 of 1 October. Yesterday's sheet is in our report on the 13 October petrol price.
A cheaper Gulf petrol price explains the cut
OGRA's sheet shows why petrol fell. The Gulf petrol price in its average came down to $130.63 a barrel from $132.17. The rupee barely moved, at an average of Rs 277.16 to the dollar against Rs 277.17 the day before.
Petrol landed at Karachi now costs Rs 255.48 a litre, down Rs 2.71. Nothing else in the petrol price changed. The exchange rate adjustment is Rs 1.47, customs duty Rs 24.93, the freight margin Rs 7.93, the company margin Rs 7.87 and the dealer margin Rs 9.98. So the whole cut comes from the landed cost.
OGRA works on an average of recent days, so a pump price follows the oil price of the past week and not of today. That lag is the reason petrol does not fall the day oil falls.
Diesel is steady and Rs 4.16 above petrol
Diesel hardly moved. It fell 3 paisa to Rs 396.82, because the dollar rate in the average slipped by one paisa. The Dubai crude price used for diesel stayed at $108.43 a barrel. The fixed diesel crack, the extra cost of turning crude into diesel, stayed at $41.89 a barrel.

Levies and customs still add about Rs 110 to each litre of petrol
The petroleum levy is Rs 80 a litre and the climate support levy is Rs 5. Customs duty is Rs 24.93. Together that is Rs 109.93 on petrol, about 28 per cent of the Rs 392.66 price. Petrol pays no sales tax. Diesel carries Rs 100.68, because its customs duty is Rs 15.68.

What a fill costs today
A five litre bike fill costs Rs 1,963.30 today, which is Rs 13.55 less than at Rs 395.37. A ten litre car fill costs Rs 3,926.60, which is Rs 27.10 less. These are our sums from OGRA's price and they leave out any pump premium.
