Punjab Himmat Card pays Rs 10,500 a quarter to disabled persons who cannot work. Check who qualifies, how to register on DPMIS and check status with a CNIC.
The CM Punjab Himmat Card pays Rs 10,500 every quarter to persons with disabilities who are certified by Social Welfare Punjab and assessed as not fit to work. You check your status by entering the disabled person's CNIC at dpmis.punjab.gov.pk/himmatcard-verification. Helpline: 1312.
We read the figure on two official pages on 28 September 2026: the Social Welfare Department's Himmat Card page and the FAQ on its DPMIS portal. Both say Rs 10,500 a quarter. Earlier we held back from printing an amount, because we had only seen it on unofficial sites. It is now confirmed at source.
There is no separate form for the card itself. You qualify through your disability registration, and the system shortlists you. That makes the paperwork before the card the part that decides everything.
What the Himmat Card pays and who runs it
The Himmat Card is a Bank of Punjab card issued by the Punjab Social Welfare Department. It carries a stipend of Rs 10,500 every three months for persons with disabilities who cannot work. The department says other services for disabled people may be added to the same card later.
Rs 10,500 a quarter works out to Rs 3,500 a month. That is not a living income. For a family paying for a wheelchair, medicine or a carer's time, though, it is a steady amount that arrives on its own once you are in.
The amount has gone up. An older department poster, still on the Social Welfare site, showed Rs 7,500 a quarter. The current page and the FAQ both say Rs 10,500. The card is only for people whose CNIC is registered in Punjab.
Who qualifies for the Punjab Himmat Card
You need all of these: a disability certificate from Social Welfare Punjab, an assessment of "not fit to work", no government or private job, no current support from BISP, PSPA, Zakat or Bait-ul-Maal, a BISP PMT score of 45 or less, and up-to-date details on DPMIS.

"PMT score" means proxy means test, the poverty score BISP gives each household after its survey. A lower score means a poorer household. If your family has never been surveyed, check your status on BISP's 8171 service first.
The BISP rule needs care. The FAQ says anyone receiving BISP, PSPA or Zakat aid is not eligible. It does not say how it treats a household where another member, such as the mother, draws BISP Kafalat. Ask the helpline before you give up any other payment.
How to register for the Himmat Card
Register the disabled person on DPMIS, get assessed by the disability board, receive the Social Welfare disability certificate, and keep the record updated. Eligible people are shortlisted automatically from that data. There is no separate Himmat Card application form.
- Create an account at dpmis.punjab.gov.pk using the Register option, and add the disabled person's CNIC or B-Form.
- Attend the district disability board when called. The board decides the disability type and whether the person is fit to work.
- Collect the Social Welfare disability certificate.
- Update the DPMIS record: CNIC, address, mobile number, education and work experience.
- Check the Himmat Card status with the disabled person's CNIC.
The certificate step is the slow one. The route through the board and then to NADRA is set out under the disability certificate and special CNIC process. The FAQ asks for a valid CNIC or B-Form, not specifically the special CNIC, but the certificate itself is required.
Check your Himmat Card status with the disabled person's CNIC
Open dpmis.punjab.gov.pk/himmatcard-verification and enter the 13-digit CNIC of the disabled person, not the guardian's. The page shows whether they are eligible and which camp office handles them. We opened the page on 28 September 2026.
The form rejects a guardian's CNIC. Its own error message says the number must belong to the person with a disability. For a child, the FAQ says the parent or guardian is considered on the child's behalf, but the check still runs on the child's record.
Being eligible is not the same as having a card. The FAQ says cards went out in two batches, 40,000 and then 25,000, so 65,000 in all, on a first come, first served basis to people with clean data. If you were not in those 65,000, you wait for a future batch. The FAQ also says there is no need to file a complaint about a missing card, because selection is automated.
How the Himmat Card payment reaches you
Payments land every quarter, and the department sends an SMS with the details. You draw the money through Bank of Punjab agents after biometric verification. An expired CNIC stops the payment, so renew it at NADRA before the next top-up.
The verification page carries a notice about exactly this. Some top-up payments failed with "Invalid Customer Data" because the holder's CNIC had expired. The fix the department gives:
- Renew the CNIC at NADRA.
- Visit the nearest Bank of Punjab agent.
- Complete biometric verification, which the department calls proof of life.
- Give the renewed CNIC number to the Social Welfare office.
Once that is done, the payment goes out in the next quarterly cycle, not straight away. If the card is due for renewal soon, the expired CNIC renewal is worth doing a month early. If fingerprints do not match, the FAQ says to update them through camp officers or service providers and try again.
One more thing in the FAQ looks out of date. It says the programme is approved until June 2025, and that the government may extend it. The verification page is still live with its top-up notice, and the department's news list shows a review meeting on Himmat Card issuance in March 2026. We have not seen a published extension order, so treat future batches as not yet announced.
A job ends eligibility, because the card is for people who cannot work. Anyone who can work should look at the disabled persons employment quota instead.

We did not run a status check, because we had no disabled person's CNIC to use with consent. We found no published order extending the programme beyond June 2025.
