A brass bell on a dark wooden table, for a report on FPSC having no open job advertisement in October 2026

Short answer: On 14 October 2026 the FPSC jobs page showed no open advertisement in General Recruitment, CSS or Other Exams. The latest consolidated advertisement on its syllabus page is 03/2026, dated 21 August 2026. Apply only through the FPSC portal, and prepare your papers now.

If you search for FPSC jobs today, you will find many pages that say "apply now". The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) itself says there is nothing open. Its jobs page reads "No active Jobs available in this section" under each of its three headings.

We opened the FPSC jobs, syllabus, schedule, nominations and forms pages on 14 October 2026. This report sets out what is live, what is not, and what you can do while you wait.

The FPSC jobs page lists no active advertisement

The Jobs page has three sections: General Recruitment, CSS and Other Exams. We saw the message "No active Jobs available in this section" for the sections we opened. There is no closing date to meet and no fee to pay today.

The online portal link on the same site is for applications to open advertisements. Without an advertisement, there is no case number to apply against. Be careful with any page, group or message that offers an FPSC job form today. FPSC says its official website is the primary source of information for candidates. Read how FPSC contacts candidates to see which channels are genuine.

The last consolidated advertisement is 03/2026 from 21 August

The FPSC syllabus page lists three consolidated advertisements in 2026. Number 01/2026 is dated 17 February. Number 02/2026 is dated 8 June. Number 03/2026 is dated 21 August. The gaps are 111 days, then 74 days. By 14 October, 54 days have passed since the last one.

02/20268 June 2026

We do not know when the next one will come. FPSC has not announced a date on the pages we read, and past gaps are not a promise. Treat the table as a record, not a forecast.

What FPSC is busy with instead

The FPSC home page shows work on tests and results. The newest notices include the postponement of Phase-III/2026 general recruitment tests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, answer keys for CE-2027 (MPT), calculator use in specified Phase-III cases, and the withheld CSS CE-2026 result.

If you already applied to an earlier case, the nominations page is where non-joiners are replaced. Our report on the alternate nomination notice explains what it means for you.

Five papers to prepare before FPSC advertises

Use the quiet weeks to prepare your papers

Applicants lose posts on papers, not on talent. FPSC lists rejection grounds that include no proof of age, missing experience proof, the wrong domicile and no departmental permission for a government employee. You can fix most of these before any advertisement appears.

  1. Get a domicile certificate in your own name, as described in the FPSC domicile rules.
  2. Ask past employers for letters in the Annex-3 pattern, as in the FPSC experience certificate guide.
  3. If you are in government service, plan the permission certificate early. See the FPSC departmental permission certificate.
  4. Learn the paper type for your grade, from the FPSC test pattern.
  5. Keep the fee amount ready. It is Rs 600 to Rs 3,000 by grade, as in the FPSC application fee guide.

Each of these also appears in the document verification checklist, which lists what to carry on the day.

Other commissions have advertisements open

FPSC covers federal posts. Provincial commissions run their own recruitment. On 14 October the Sindh commission home page showed advertisement 05/26 open until 23 October, and the Punjab commission home page showed advertisement 11/2026 posted on 9 October.

These are different bodies, with different rules and fees. Read the SPSC advertisement 05/2026 page or the PPSC advertisement 11/2026 page for those. Do not use an FPSC form for a provincial post.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 14 October 2026, Pakistan time. We opened the FPSC jobs page, the syllabus page, the schedule page, the nominations page, the forms page and the home page. We could not see the Provincial commission job pages in full, only their home pages. A page can change within hours, and FPSC may post a new advertisement at any time. Confirm on fpsc.gov.pk before you act.
