How to Apply for an SSGC RLNG Domestic Gas Connection in Sindh and Balochistan
SSGC lists Rs 22,725 for a new domestic RLNG gas connection in Sindh up to 10 marla, and Rs 21,725 in Balochistan. See the documents, zones and steps to apply.

SSGC's online form for a new domestic gas connection says every new connection is currently available only on the RLNG tariff. For a plot up to 10 marla or 300 square yards, SSGC lists Rs 22,725 in Sindh and Rs 21,725 in Balochistan. Above that size the totals are Rs 24,450 and Rs 23,450. You pay the internal pipe work separately.
A new house in Karachi, Hyderabad or Quetta used to get a gas connection through a long wait and a modest fee. Now the form on SSGC's website opens with a declaration that you accept the RLNG tariff, and the fee table sits right under it. We opened that page on 15 October 2026 and read all of it. Here is what SSGC asks for, what it charges, and what it does not say.
SSGC takes new domestic applications only on the RLNG tariff
The form's declaration reads that all new domestic gas connections are currently available only under the RLNG tariff, as per the Government of Pakistan's directives. You must also state that you have no objection to a connection under OGRA's notified RLNG tariff.
RLNG is imported liquefied gas turned back into gas, and it costs more than local system gas. SSGC's page does not give the per-unit price. OGRA, the regulator, notifies it, and the September 2026 decision is in the OGRA RLNG price decision. The wider rules for both gas companies are in new gas connections from SNGPL and SSGC.
That tariff choice is the real cost of the connection, because it sets every monthly bill after it. Read the declaration before you tick it. If you want to compare, piped gas against LPG shows how the two fuels stack up for a household.
SSGC lists four fee items, and the total depends on plot size
For a plot up to 10 marla or 300 square yards, SSGC lists a new connection charge of Rs 1,500, a gas supply deposit of Rs 20,000, sales tax of Rs 225 and, in Sindh only, stamp duty of Rs 1,000. The page says these charges are subject to change.
| Item | Up to 10 marla (Sindh) | Up to 10 marla (Balochistan) | Over 10 marla (Sindh) | Over 10 marla (Balochistan) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| New connection charges | Rs 1,500 | Rs 1,500 | Rs 3,000 | Rs 3,000 |
| Gas supply deposit | Rs 20,000 | Rs 20,000 | Rs 20,000 | Rs 20,000 |
| Sales tax | Rs 225 | Rs 225 | Rs 450 | Rs 450 |
| Stamp duty | Rs 1,000 | None listed | Rs 1,000 | None listed |
| Total on SSGC's page | Rs 22,725 | Rs 21,725 | Rs 24,450 | Rs 23,450 |

The totals add up from SSGC's own lines. SSGC's page does not say whether the Rs 20,000 deposit is refundable, and it does not list an urgent fee. The SNGPL notice for the north lists both a refundable security and an urgent fee, but that is another company. Do not assume SSGC works the same way.
The internal pipe work costs extra and is yours to arrange
SSGC says the cost of the internal houseline, pipe fitting and labour is arranged and borne by the customer. It publishes no figure for this. The price depends on your house, so get written quotes before you apply, and use a fitter who follows SSGC's guidelines.
SSGC links a General Guidelines document for laying the internal houseline. Read it before you hire anyone. In the north, SNGPL asks for an installation certificate from an approved contractor, as explained in the SNGPL houseline installation certificate. SSGC's page does not name a similar requirement, so ask its sales office what it needs.
Check you are in a zone and meet the three conditions
The form lets you pick Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Larkana or Quetta. You also declare that an SSGC pipeline exists in front of your premises and that no dispute or court case restrains gas supply there. A false statement makes the application invalid.
The form says SSGC will treat the application as invalid if the information or documents turn out to be contrary to the facts. So check the pipeline yourself first. Ask a neighbour with a connection for their customer number and meter number, because the form asks for the nearest customer and meter number.
- Pick your zone from the seven listed.
- Find a neighbour's gas bill, or note the nearest customer and meter numbers.
- Confirm that an SSGC pipeline runs in front of your plot.
- Gather the documents in the checklist below.
- Fill in the online form, or print it and take it to a Sales Office or CFC.
- Wait for the SMS, or use the SSGC Customer Connect App.

Eight items go with the application
SSGC's checklist asks for the filled form, the nearest neighbour's gas bill, your CNIC, an approved plan with QR code from the relevant authority, ownership papers, any society NOC, affidavits on Rs 100 stamp paper, and the filled RLNG contract form. Tenants add a tenancy agreement and landlord NOC.
Each file must be 1 MB or less, in JPG, PNG, PDF, DOC or DOCX format. The form also asks for your name, address, plot size in square yards, number of floors and kitchens, mobile operator and email. It asks for any outstanding dues at the premises, so clear old gas dues first.
If you are building new, the approved plan matters. In Karachi, SBCA approves house plans, and the steps are in getting a house plan approved by SBCA. For tenants, the agreement is covered in a rent agreement on stamp paper, and genuine Sindh stamp paper can be checked with the Sindh e-stamp and challan check. The affidavits go on Rs 100 stamp paper according to SSGC's specimen.
After you apply, SSGC updates you by SMS
SSGC says it will update the status by SMS to your mobile number or on its Customer Connect App. If no SMS arrives within one week, email info.sales@ssgc.com.pk. SSGC also has a New Connection Status page where you enter your customer number.
The page gives no deadline for the connection. We found no processing time on the application page. A separate SSGC table lists 45 days for a new domestic service connection and meter installation after Sales issues the request, as covered in how long SSGC takes to fix gas problems. That clock starts later than your application, so it is not a promise of a date.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 15 October 2026. We opened SSGC's RLNG Domestic Gas Connection Application page and its New Connection Status page at ssgc.com.pk, and read the eligibility declaration, form fields, document checklist and fee tables. SSGC's page carries an "Updated: May, 2025" line and says charges are subject to change, so confirm the fees at a sales office. We did not submit an application. SSGC publishes no RLNG per-unit price on that page. See SSGC's RLNG application page.
